 The night air was a bit warmer than she had expected it to be as she stood, staring up at the sky with a strange sort of longing. She had been counting the stars for hours now and, upon losing track, had started again. They were forming so many patterns together and, beyond counting, she was beginning to see things forming within them; shapes and words, creatures and names.

He was sick of the lot he had met. He was incredibly bored, and they never really tickled his fancy. He had met a few oddballs, and he had met one he called friend, but in honesty, he truly was starting to dislike these lands. He was indeed, a stallion who liked to be the center of attention.. But he wasn't looking for attention.. Or not JUST attention anyway. He wanted someone that was interesting giving him attention, because the lot he had met, bored him.
As he walked, he kicked a heavy rock and his eyes closed and his face gave a look of anger.
"Bloody 'ell. Someone should stop leaving their bleeding rocks in the middle of the paths.."
He said, shaking his head, letting his short blonde locks hit his forehead.

"I spy with my little eye..." She murmured to herself in a soft, sing-song voice, almost swaying as she shifted on her hooves. Her tail flickered slightly, head giving a slight toss that rattled the beads she wore around her neck. "Something... Something... I... Spy..."

He stood, lurking in the shadows, unsure of whether or not he wanted to greet the mare. He enjoyed just standing behind and watching her.. But he was bored after alll, and a little interaction could save him from the dull life he saw in this village.
"You spy what, luv? Because I must say.. I am spying very little."
He groaned, looking back up to her.

"Then yoou... Must not be spying in the right direction." She smiled as she closed her eyes, keeping her head tilted towards the sky. "There are many things that one could spy in the night sky... If one knew where to look for them, at is."

Spike gave a care to glance around him as if to try and see what she was seeing. But he saw nothing but darkness abd more trees. Shaking his head, and offering a huff, he let out a slow breath.
"Sorry,pet.. But nothing is out here. Just you and me."
He said, cocking his head, and staring at her with ocean colored eyes.

"If that's what you think then you aren't looking with the right eyes." She continued to smile as her own eyes opened, drifting towards him for a brief moment. "There is more to the darkness than just the dark."

He cocked his head, and looked at her again. Her eyes.. they seemed.. Mad. Like some kind of madness was going on behind them.. But then, her riddles were proof enough of that, but hey! Maybe she just liked riddles.
"Is there now? Mind telling Spike what is out in the darkness, except the dark?"
He asked, his voice patient, as he generally was towards some. Sometimes he was terribly angry.. but today, he was just happy to have company.

"Things are in the darkness... Many things... And stars. I spy, with my little eye, things that twinkle in the sky..." She swayed her head slowly side to side before turning a smile towards him. "You are out in the darkness, aren't you? And your hair is far too fair for you to be completely in the dark..."

Spike raised an eyebrow and thought about the words she was speaking. Yup. She was -incredibly- mad. Were all the Soquili around here very stoned? He shuddered a bit, and looked back at her with eyes that held mystery and mischief.
"Ah, well if its a matter of color, then indeed. Many things are in the dark except the dark. I meant another way."
He said, now wishing he hadnt said anthing. He really didn't want to explain what he m eant, because even HE didnt know what he was talking about.
"Right then. Name's Spike."

Her brow lofted slightly as she looked to the stallion, eyes seeming to cloud for a moment before clearing. "What other way did you mean then, Spike?" She knew better than to offer her name without being asked it as a lady of her standing should be asked.

Spike snorted. Indeed. She had asked him the very thing he had prayed, or maybe not prayed, that she wouldn't.
His cloven black hooves shuffled a bit, as he looked around him. What had he meant?
"I meant, you were right. Don't spend too much time pondering it.. Might make your brain fry."
It would make her brain fry, because the thought of an explaination did the same to him.
"What's your name love?"
He asked, noticing she had deliberately not given her name to answer his own.

"Fried brains..." She pondered that for a moment before shaking her head. No, they didn't sound appetizing at all or, at least, they didn't sound like anything that she would find appetizing... But to each their own, as strange as it might be.
She listened to his question as she stared off at the sky once more, losing her mind to the glittering of the thousands of stars up above. Only then did she respond to him, sounding somewhat dreamy. "Drusilla."

He nodded a bit, listening to the mare's name. Drusilla? He looked back at her, watching her gaze among the stars, and he had to c**k his head at her.
"Drusilla, eh? Lovely name."
He said, flicking his tail.
"What are you doing tonight, Drusilla?"
