so im new here. i saw the link on someones page that posted on my profile. thought i would check it out.
seems like a great guild. i am in one guild that i really love, but you can never have enough friends on gaia. 'specially ones closer to my own age that dont flip out when i say i am 27 (just turned), married with 2 kids.
i am just rejoining the stay at home world, so i will be around off and on throughout the day. i hardly ever use caps, so please dont get mad, oh and i tend to use a lot of ... <--- but anyways... i am here quite a bit and usually bored when i am. i am looking forward to getting to know you all.
thanks for letting me join!

Welcome aboard. smile Caps and punctuation aren't that big of a deal.
Example of what would be annoying:
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111 WTF!!!11!!! LIK UR OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111!!!!!!1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LYK 20 IZ OLD!!!!!!!!!!111!!
But yes, 27 is hardly old. So what kind of kids do you have (i.e. One son and one daughter, 2 girls, or two boys, etc)?
So what were you up to before rejoining the stay-at-home world?
Hopefully you won't be bored in our ranks. We discuss everything in this guild from changing avatars to social issues. No topic is too big or too small, just start a thread should there not be one of interest to you

lol, love the example. there is one teeny bopper i talk to and that is seriously how she talks. we met in slots or something like that. i kinda feel sorry for her.
anyways. i have 2 little girls, one turned 4 in Oct, the other will be 2 next month. i had a lot of pregnancy issues with both of them and after being put on bedrest at 6 months with the youngest i quit my job. i was a department manager for walmart.
this past summer in july i started working as a PSA (personal service assistant) for an assisted living place in a nearby town. our town is pretty small, we just moved here in march. well, i was getting off work at 10 at night, by the time i picked up the girls and drove home, it was about 11... my youngest wouldnt go back to sleep til about 1:30 am and the oldest started preschool every other day this year so we had to get up by 7 am. so basically i was getting hardly any sleep, getting really irritated at the job(boss) and finally my husband just said maybe i should keep staying home til the girls got a little bigger. well, as exhausted as i was all the time i agreed.
so thats basically it.

Completely understandable. Also, as wonderful as helping people in jobs such as assisted living are, well, they can be very draining occupations. I used to work in a hospital monitoring easily confused and fall risk patients. It's very eye opening to how people can be robbed of their dignity as they get older.
2 and 4, wow, nothing in your house is probably left standing with girls those ages! Well hopefully you'll have a haven here for adult interaction. Also, quite a few guild members are parents- so you'll have the pleasant surprise of being able to swap stories, tips, and recipes.

lol. i know im not really old. its just funny because when i say i am going to take a nap, my husband gives me crap and says only old people and kids take naps. he's a year and a half younger than me so i think its funny. well, off to the grocery store for me, and dropping the little ones at grammas.... woo a break for a few minutes...

I love naps! Sleep....is always welcome. Sounds like you have a handful. I just traded in three girls for two boys...I want the girls back. In the last two years I've learned how much it takes to be a "parent" (a role not really mine but one take)
Welcome to the guild
