Aside from her hand that he's holding to his chest, I think this one might've actually turned out as close to flawless as I can ask for at 7 in the morning. One of my rp buddies decided to write a little three-page narrative of a point in our storyline he didn't elaborate on at the time, due to Rhia being asleep during it. So, in return, I decided to draw our two main characters in a what-if scene. I set out to draw a near-kiss picture, but when I drew in Rhia's neck, I realized that she wasn't set up to be in that kind of pose. But, it looked so nice, I got the feeling that she wanted to be drawn this way. So, their pose came about, and her expression developed itself, and this is what I wound up with.
"I'm going," Rhia said in a fit of anger. The soldiers frowned as she rose from the table and headed out of the conference room.
Ramirez rose to his feet and went after her. He grabbed her hand just as she got out into the hallway. "Don't."
She reared around, hurt look in her eyes. "Why shouldn't I?!" she cried.
He pulled her hand close to his chest, and as she tried to fight him, he reached out and grabbed her other wrist.
"Let go!"
"I love you, Rhia."
"Let-! ...go..." Her voice drifted off and she stared at him in shock, lips parting though no words would come to her. As she gazed into his face, a tear slipped down her cheek, and she realized he was telling the truth.
