The beautiful scent tingled his nose, the warm, wet liquid covering his paws and the vast majority in his muzzle. The wolf would bathe in it if he could. Blood sweet blood. With a quick flick of his jaws the male ripped another piece from the carcass of the rabbit, the contents of such laid out compulsively and in quite an orderly fashion on the large, smooth rock rock where he was perched. The head, minus the ears, lay staring at him near his left paw, whilst the major organs, steaming seductively against the crisp winter air.
The actual body of the rabbit was kept firmly anchored between his paws, and, staring out at the morning forest covered with snow, the old wolf was at piece. A lanky frame and long, silky pelt hid many a muscle which one wouldn't expect in such a creature, and dull yellow eyes pierced the light. Snorting, Blaise took a moment to begin cleaning the blood from his paws, after each stroke counting them to himself.
"One, one...Dos...Three...One.."
Of course, counting as he did, the senile (or so it seemed)creature never got far.

The steel colored wolfess growled her dismay as her lunch sped past her, and continued running until she was out of breath. Her tongue hung from her mouth in a sort of pant. That deer would have been a good mean for the loner. But it's long legs carried it further than Allah would run. Her growl echoed again, until her nose caught the scent of copper.. The copper smell of life. She was known as a scavenger as well, but the food that she could smell, seemed fresh, and not nearly old enough to have been abandoned by the one who had brought it down.
Her paws were soft and cautious as she followed the scent, peeking out from the darkness that trees created around her. Golden wolf eyes peered at the other wolf. She heard him speaking, and then his words were confusing. Did he truly not know how to count? She shook her head, sometimes others were just stupid beings.
A soft growl rose from her throat. Not one of menace, but one of letting him know she was standing there.
"What a lovely brain you posess." She said, her eyes mischevious.

Blood. Even the taste of the remnants of blood that speckled his furry feet was enough to bring a hearty shiver through the empty male's body, tail puffing at the end as though all the energy from it had collected in one place and simply erupted.
"Tres...One...Two..."
The wolf rumbled repetitively, licks growing longer and more precise as he gazed ahead of him, as though he wasn't aware of the very enviable feast before him. Seeming to be done with that paw for the moment, the wolf clutched his prey between his front paws. The growl pierced the air just as he tore a piece of flesh from the creature; sea-green head whipping around with a small portion still hanging from his jaws and dull eyes gaze through her.
Brain? Blaise looked among his collection, all nicely and neatly ordered in front of him. Ah, the brain. It resided, slightly roughed up beside the skull of the rabbit, nicely pulled out by the cord when he'd broken the neck.
Not bothering to look back at the femme the wolf mumbled something softly and nodded, the piece of rabbit flesh falling without notice from his jaws to the cold ground.

Her ears went to the back of her head, for merely a brief moment. He had indeed spoken back to her, but his reply had been muffled, and seemed as if he did not want her there.. But that didnt matter. Not that she could blame the wretch, she would be the same, should someone wander in on her meal while she was still eating it. Hell.. She'd sat around a carcass for days, just to fight off the scavengers who tried to flock to eat it. She was indeed a cruel vixen, but she knew full well that she would be much more violent to intruders on her meals. She would fight them. But fighting was in her blood, and in her heart.
Her pack had seen to that. The thought of her old pack drove her ears back to her skull once more.
"Excuse me.. I was trying to speak to you.. My name is Allah. What are you called?" She asked, eyeing the rabbit that lay torn apart and bleeding before the males paws. When he looked at her, her eyes dripped to the dangling flesh and her jaws began to quiver as her mouth salivated a bit.
"What a catch. You must be indeed a great hunter." She said, walking closer, but stayed far enough away to not intrude.. too badly.

Staring intently at the small grey and wrinkled mass that sat beside his leg, it seemed as though the oddly-patterned wolf had tuned out the strange wolf that had inquired about the rabbit's brain in the first place. It was rare occurrence to find company in this far reach of the woods, in winter no less.
Eyes boring into the warm grey mass, Blaise seemed to ignore her question, but once the snow was disturbed by soft paw-steps his head once again snapped up, as if he was nothing more than a motion-detector doll.
"Allah..."
He mimicked, saying it several times in repetition. "Blaise..."
