After reading he opening page for this guild I decided to hunt down some of the bands mentioned ...& I just wanna say thank you to the ptb because I found bikini kill & I think they are just so good!!!!! Very me-ish!!!

Words cannot describe how much I love this band. Alien She and Suck My Left One are probably my two most favorite songs by them.

I love Bikini Kill. I've only been listening to them for a few months, someone in the indie forum had me listen to them. R.I.P is my fav. That song makes me cry like everytime I listen to it. But of course Suck my Left One and I Like ******** are great.

I first heard of them in a book called "fast girls" which is about the highschool slut in the US, I found it very interesting. It quoted the song Alien She, I don't remember it what context exactly, but I remember it mentioning riot grrrl.I downloaded a couple songs... and a fan was born.

"r.i.p." doesn't make me cry, but most things don't. it seems like it has a back story, though. i should probably look this up myself, but i was wondering first if any of y'all knew about the circumstances that caused bikini kill to record "r.i.p.".

Rebel Girl "r.i.p." doesn't make me cry, but most things don't. it seems like it has a back story, though. i should probably look this up myself, but i was wondering first if any of y'all knew about the circumstances that caused bikini kill to record "r.i.p.". Yes, it was written for a friend who had died of AID's related bronchitis I believe it was... but I'm not positive on the bronchitis. It talks about it in the Reject All American lyrics at the bottom of the song.
