When I read this, I felt like it was my parents talking to me. X_X I'm in college now and I lack a car and a job. My parents are starting to breath down my neck about helping to pay the insurence and the gas money for the trips to school and back. I totaly understand, but for some reason I don't want to work at jack in the box or mcdonalds. They say it's never beneith a person to do so . . . but McDonalds . . .I dont' like the fast food industry. It's icky.
My mom had me apply at Living Spaces, (it's a furniure store) so that has to be better than fast food.
Does anyone else have parents starting to demand that you be independant? Would you mind working fast food?

Yeah, they were on at me for ages to get a job, but I got ill, so they let me off... razz
I wouldn't work in a fast food place if I could absolutely help it. It's
a) Claustraphobic and hot. I'm quite-alot claustraphobic, I wouldn't survive more than about 5mins in there before I started pushing over everyone and everything just to get out.
b) Almost certianly not 100% clean, and I'd stress all the time about how dirty everyone's being.
c) You have to talk to people! gonk Yeah yeah, I know I'd have to do that in any job, but seriously, I'd rather talk about something interesting like computers. I'd make an awful retail person.

crying Am I really that lazy? I feel like there isn't any jobs out there that I'd enjoy doing.... The living spaces job is the clostest to what I'd like to do I suppose.
xd that's funny Mistyfish. I can see you now! KSTU is ordering a chicken sandwhich at Jack-in-the-box and suddenly there is a commotion from the back of the kitchen. Employees are suddenly being thrown over the counters, into the fryer, and out the take out window. Then out of the blue, Mistyfish comes flying over the counter, knocking the 50 year old lady who works the register out. Landing on the floor, the Flyingfish will say.....

I actually like to talk to people a lot. I enjoy selling people things too. I'm a social butterfly! Flitting from group to group for friendly conversation! Maybe I should say moth. I'm not elegant enough to be a butterfly. xp I'm too clumsy.

O.o my parents did that to me for a while. Now I'm 20 and I don't speak to them anymore.
I've done fast food. At the zoo, not Mcdonalds and Chicago has no Jack In The Boxes...

Ugh. I could never, never work in a fast-food industry. I could not work at the cashier 'cause I suck at working with people and if I'm not TOTALLY concentrating on what they're saying, my attention starts to slip. xD; And also, I couldn't deal with assholes and be nice about it. I would probably tell them off and get fired. ><;
And I could never work with food. I would CONSTANTLY be washing my hands and bitching that the food is disgusting. I'm REALLY picky about my food being clean. To the point of being obsessive compulsive. Everytime I touch something that isn't the food or the utensils, I wash my hands. I love being clean.
Edit: I'm practically a germaphobe. Yay.

I couldn't work in fast food. I have a horrible attention span and... Well... You all know my dramaticness and energiness... <_<; Also, if someone was being an a*****e, I'd probably throw the fry grease at them. >D
We should open a fast food together, everyone! >D It could have a spacey, airy kitchen, an insane sanitary thing, REALLY neat display shelves (Everything has to be ninety degrees around me. And lined up. Nicely.)... xD Oh. And food... Yeah, that... *Shrug* That's not the important part! ;3
My dad switches between "YOU NEED TO BE MORE INDEPENDENT" and "YOU'RE NOT INDEPENDENT ENOUGH!".

I just had an idea for a SUTF comic based on what Satah said.
If the STUF ran a fast food jellow place . . . I'd use a photo background of a real mcdonalds. Of course, I'd use the gaia avatars of the SUTF peoples. There'd be lots of photoshop magic and loads of inside jokes for the SUTF. 3nodding

Jack in the box is a pretty big food chain with funny commercials. XD Thier mascot, Jack, is a funny character. I should find a picture for you guys. Farmer Boys makes really good hambergurs. Not like McDonlads icky stuff they PASS as hamburgers....
