How do these creatures live, knowing that they were first created at the same hands as a creature that destroyed the world? What do they think as they move across the abandoned city that was once filled with life? Why do some kimera fight with hatred in their hearts against humans while others protect them? Humans cannot understand, but that does not stop us from trying.

Welcome to the Journal of Faunia's Kimera. This is a record of the kimera she has come to know and love. Even if the kimera call themselves wild, Faunia feels that she has built a special bond with them. A a human, Faunia has nothing but respect for these powerful creatures. She helps the kimera that she finds in need and raises others from eggs. She is fasinated by these creatures and loves them all to death.

You can call her kind-hearted, you can call her obsessed, you can even call her crazy, but she is the one and only Faunia! This human has gone to great lengths to find peace between humans and kimera. Time and time again she tries to figure out how to help kimera and try to win their hearts from supply 'veterinary' care, to raising them, to saving there lives! These kimera that you see below have all come in contact with this crazy scientist in some shape or form. Some of them she has raised, some she has attempted to help, and some of them she has simply wished to research. This is her Kimera Den Records....

Meaning of Name: Dark
Nicknames: None
Mate: Shu Fang heart
Children: None.
Personality: Tynan is usually a calm griffin but has been known to have a hot temper when angered. He is powerful and at times shows his great wisdom. Tynan tends to be distant from others by hiding his emotions away from them. Tynan his very protective and loyal to his pack, even willing to risk his own life for them. Even so, he can still be distant from them by never speaking of himself or his past.
Background: [Update:] When Tynan was very young, perhaps just a newborn, his parents and siblings began seeking to form a pack, hoping it would protect them all from the encrouching humans. His family was able to find a beautiful territory, one that was half forest and half open field. However, there was already a family of griffins who inhabitted this territory and Tynan's parents worked hard to convince this other family that it would be best if they joined together to form one big flock. Finally, they agreed, but under one condition, that the father of the other griffin family would be the alpha male of the flock. Tynan's family agreed and it was in this territory that Tynan was raised. Even though they were safe for a long time here, the alpha male would often pick on Tynan's father, as well as young Tynan himself. This pecking order bulliness from the alpha became more focused on Tynan when he fell in love with the alpha's daughter, a beautiful griffin by the name of Kiran.
Connection with Faunia: One day, Faunia was wandering through the city trying to find the possible parents of an egg she had recently come across (this would later hatch into little Avani.) As she was wandering about, she suddenly heard the clanging of chains from in a dark alley. Confused, she peered in to find a great griffin (Tynan) who seemed badly injured and massively bleeding. Before Faunia could do anything, the griffin collapsed and was unconscious. Being the caring yet foolish humans she was, Faunia went to help the badly injured kimera. It was then that she noticed those heavy chains. The seemed to burden the grif, so she went to get a tool that would cut metal. She returned quickly, tended to his wounds, and was about to cut the cuff around his neck when suddenly the griff's golden eye opened wide. Furious, Tynan leaped up, flinging the human back. Before Faunia could do anything else the griffin took off without a glance back. Since then, Faunia has seen short glimpses of the kimera and wishes that he would let her help him.
Life Goal:To be strong and protect his pack.
Reason for Alignment: Tynan hates humans for some reason. Perhaps they have done something terrible to him and he has learned to resent them. He doesn't attack every human in sight, but he strongly resents them and would prefer to be far away from them.
Likes:Being with his pack, flying, sometimes fighting, and dreaming
Dislikes: Humans, anyone who threatens his pack, overly confident fools, anyone who tries removing his chains, and when someone tries to learn more about his past.

Meaning of Name: Fox
Nickname: None
Personality: Lorne is a highly intelligent little fox who is very loyal and dedicated to Tynan. He sees Tynan as his protector and will obey only to him unflinchingly. Lorne is very observant and quick to learn, especually when instructed by Tynan. Although Lorne is not constantly by Tynan's side, he is never too far away.
Known Tricks: Lorne has been taught to come when called, ride on Tynan, spy, track, and hunt (for himself). He is in the process of learning how to fight.


Mahsa:

Meaning of Name: Like the Moon
Nicknames: None
Mate: None
Personality: Mahsa is usually a very cheery, care free griffin who gets along well with others. For those who are friendly to her, she is friendly in return and to those who seem to dislike her she tries to be poliet to. However, she can be very, very stubborn at times and once her mind is set on something, she usually sticks to it no matter what. However, there is a side of her that she usually doesn't show, a side of her that can be distressed and upset. However, most usually don't notice these small signals and the negative feeling usually pass though her system quickly.
Background: She was found by Articuno, Neos, Vass, and Shikamaru alone one day, trying to fly. She had no parents and at the moment, no one knows why she was out there on her own.
Connection with Faunia: None right now.
Life Goal: Still uncertain.
Reason for Alignment: Mahsa is not aligned to either Sarlost or Syn. The reason for this is unknown.
Likes: Making friends, exploring, trying new things, and flying.
Dislikes: Arguments and fights, even if she isn't involved in them.

Varsha

Meaning of Name: Rain
Nickname: None
Mate: None, but looking.
Personality: Varsha spirit is as wild and untamed as the wind, or any other elements for that matter. She is seems to be a very independent griffin, a wanderer. She's usual very friendly, but has thickskin when it comes to dealing with anyone that she doesn't think it's worth trying to defend. She's not the type to run away, but certainly doesn't have very much courage. Her greatest weakness is envy. In other words, she gets jealous of others who she finds to be very pretty. However, she usual tries to keep this fact quiet. The only thing that really makes her snap is when someone insults her or calls her u-g-l-y. But once she does snap, you do not want to mess with her.
Background: She a wanderer, who has come very far from where she used to live. She seems to like the travel, but has recently gotten bored and tired of it. She seems ready to find a nice territory to settle into and has chosen this one.
Connection with Faunia: Professor Faunia saw this griffin when she first entered the territory. Faunia found the vulture-likeness very interesting and has wanted to study the griffin. However, she has had no such luck, since this griffin likes to wander about the territory and never sits still.
Life Goal: To find a place the truely feels like home.
Reason for Alignment: Varsha is neither aligned to Syn or Sarlost. But why would she? She doesn't know anything about any of them. XD
Likes: Flying, traveling, new places, new faces, children, beauty and friendship
Dislikes: Being called or looked upon as ugly, being shunned, being an outcast.

Meaning of Name: War
Nickname: None
Parents: HarakhtyEllinora
Siblings: Two older brothers,[Tehuti][Astennu] one older sister, [Nefret] one younger brother,[Rameses] and one younger sister[Mew-Sher]
Personality: Hondo is a very proud, cunning griffin. He's a bit of a loner, who only enjoys interacting with others when it envolves forming a companionship that will benefit him. He usual remains silent, observing others from afar. But it can be assumed that he is wise beyond his young years. He cares for his family, but rarely shows it; although at times he does become embarressed by their actions. Hondo is strong and very independent. He seems to understand the value of forming alliances, but usually doesn't get emotionally involved.
Background: Hondo is the son of Harakhty and Ellinora, and so far he has spent his entire life with his family.
Connection with Faunia: None.
Life Goal: Unknown
Reason for Alignment: Hondo is alligned to neither of the gods... yet.

Meaning of Name: Crown, royal
Nicknames: None
Mate: None
Personality: I believe Ade is still trying to figure out how the world works. He's a curious kimera who always tries new things and usually gets in trouble for it. There are times when I feel like he does not know what to think of things, like he is still trying to figure out life. Ade is a fairly calm arnulf who rarely gets angry and shout... At least that's how he acts. There are times that I feel that he really is frustrated, angered, scared, or whatever else, but for some reason does not show it. I also think he cares deeply for others but only shows it with simply, usually unrecognized gestures. I believe he can grow up to either be a very social, very confident kimera or a quiet, secluded loner. This shall depend on the experiences he shall face.
Connection with Faunia: Faunia was one of the foster parents for Ade when he was just a newborn. (See background).
Background: One day, Avani returned to Faunia seeking help. With her, she brought this little fellow. Avani had found Ade all alone and his mother dead...She brought him to Faunia and both of them helped to raise him. Nothing is know about who killed his mother or where Ade's father is... or if he is even still alive.
Life Goal: Ade wants to become strong so that he may become a knight for Sarlost.
Reason for Alignment: Ade wishes to follow Sarlost because his foster mother Avani has taught him her hopes and dreams, which Ade has learned to trust and follow since he was a child. Also, Ade says that his real mother used to tell him stories about courageous kimera, including Ade's father. Ade wishes to become a strong, brave kimera as well by becoming a knight for Sarlost.
Likes: Training, hunting, flying, and stories.
Dislikes: Being questioned or emotionally pushed, feeling like a weakling, and cowards who back down from a fight.

Colonel Roy Mustang

Meaning of Name: He's named after Roy Mustang in the manga/anime series Full Metal Alchemist. But 'Roy' means 'red' and 'Mustang' means 'wild horse', so put that together, and Roy Mustang's name means 'Red, wild, horse.' 8D
Nicknames: The Flame Alchemist
Mate: None. Go get him ladies! 8D
Personality: Roy Mustang has this very confident and arrogant manner that he usually wears on his sleeve. He is capable of being very manipulative and is very intelligent. He has this amazing ability to think one step ahead of his opponents. Being a high-ranking officer, Roy likes to feel that he is in control and understands the situation.
Background: The arnulf form of Roy Mustang is the leader of a pack of human police 'dogs.' Roy is considered the alpha of his pack and no one really denies this in him. When he was a young teen, Roy discovered how to manipulate fire with those white gloves of his, thus giving him the nickname of The Flame Alchemist.
Connection with Faunia: Faunia has seen him at that police station before. He's even been given some assignments to guard the crazy scientist from a phyco raptor who use to stalk the human.
Life Goal: To gain more power and respect by rising to the highest ranks possible.
Reason for Alignment: Roy Mustang follows Sarlost, for he is the leader of a pack that works with and was raised by humans. After living with the humans for some time, he and his pack heard of Sarlost message and soon joined up with her. Now all of the old pack members, including himself, have joined ranks with her. Roy aims to become a very high ranking knight amongst the members of the Sarlost Keep.
Likes: Fire, promotions, ladies, being in control, knowing the situation, and his dear comrades
Dislikes: Losing his power, seeing his comrades fall, rain, and feeling useless.

Meaning of Name: Flying Falcon (do not ask why XD)
Nickname: Sparky (Given by Storm's pet Sakina)
Mate: Sakina. heart
Children: Elsu is the father of and adopted daughter [Ariaki], three sons, [Talon] [Tuari] [Tantalus], and one daughter [Tanith].
Personality: Elsu is sorta...mysterious. He's quiet, watchful, and clever. He is very calm and does not flinch in the face of vicious kimera. Elsu seems to be very confident in himself, perhaps overly confident. There is a side of him that, I believe, that loves competition. Elsu wants to show his strength and power and is so confident that he will perhaps accept any challenges. However, for the very few that can form a bond with him, he shows upmost concern form them. He cares for them deeply and would do anything to protect them, no matter the cost.
Background: All we know is that he has come from a land far away from this one. He seems to have been traveling around for a long while, trying to find some place where he can live the rest of his days. We know nothing else about him...
UPDATE Elsu's pack was the last of the carilapes as far as he knows. They were against the gods, trying to weaken them through out the generations. But when Sarlost built the keep and Syn began building up his armies the carilapes failed at this task. Soon Syn began sending out groups of his followers to hunt down these packs of carilapes until Elsu's pack was the only one left. In time Syn's troops found his pack as well and killed them. Elsu escaped, but he was still only a child left in a vast, cruel world all alone.
UPDATE: In order to survive through his lonely childhood, Elsu found a pack of raptors who were willing to adopt him. However they were a powerful and almost cruel pack. Their way of life was strength and the ability to survive. Elsu was trained to become strong in order to keep up and survive with the pack. He made many bonds with the raptors in that pack, including the alpha female named Keahi. However, one day Syn's troops attacked their pack after discovering that a carilape was living in it. Even though they did not understand the reason for the attack, the raptors fought back to the death. Before the final stand, Keahi and Elsu were hidden, arguing the wisest desision to make. Even though they were the final two of the pack, Keahi argued that they should fight back and kill Syn's men while Elsu argued that it would be wisest to retreat. In the end, Elsu ran away from the battle, leaving Keahi behind. However, he had not intents on abandoning her. He went to Sarlost's keep to ask for help, but was taken prisioner there because of the history of the packs he had been a part of. The next morning he had managed to escape, but not in enough time to return to Keahi. Keahi believes that she has been betrayed by Elsu and has hunted him down. They have had many bloody encounters since and in the first of them Keahi warned Elsu that she shall never stop hunting him until the day he gets revenge for the raptor pack. The only way she sees it possible to get this revenge is for Elsu to single handedly destroy both Sarlost and Syn. A nearly impossible acheivement that Elsu has been forced into trying to attain.
Connection with Faunia: There have been some few, quick glances of this kimera by Faunia herself. However, Avani has met Elsu, and has told Faunia about him. Faunia is very curious as to what Elsu is like, but does not know what he would think of her...
Life Goal: We have recently discovered that Elsu's goal is to get revenge for his pack by continuing their goal and defeating the gods. Elsu finds himself faced with this almost impossible task, but perhaps his demon blood will somehow bring him to victory?
Reason for Alignment: He has sworn revenge against both Sarlost and Syn for various reasons.
Likes: Being alone, traveling, and challenges.
Dislikes: Anyone who claims to be a god, losing, and cowards who back down from a fight.

Meaning of Name: Young eagle

Family: See Elsu
Personality: Tuari is a cheery hybrid who loves his family and friends very dearly. He's an energetic hybrid who loves to learn new things, explore, and most of all, face new, exciting challenges. He admires his parents very much for both their love and strength. He also looks up to his adopted older sister, Ariaki, and his older brother, Talon, who always seemed to be looking out for him and his younger siblings. As the younger child, he too wants to look out for his younger siblings but at the same time, make a name for himself. Aside for the stubbornness he feels towards overcoming challenges, he's a very likable, laid back kimera who will go with the flow of his chaotic family life.
Background: Tuari is the son of Elsu and Sakina and has lived with them and his siblings his entire life. He has yet to explore far from his territory. He is also good friends with a carilape named Celyn, who he views as an uncle figure.
Connection with Faunia: None
Life Goal: To become strong like his mom and dad.
Reason for Alignment: He is neither aligned to Sarlost nor Syn.
Likes: Being with his family, exploring, learning things from his parents, and challenges

Personality: Taru is a pretty cool-headed, layed back guy.... Most of the time. He gets along with females of any species. He'll act very poliet towards them and very curtiously. He also seems to have infiniate patience for them. He can also get along with males of other species, usually taking the role of the chill guy who gets along with everyone. But Taru is pickier with his male friends. If a guy gives him any reason to not be friends with him, Taru with snap instantly and get extremely defensive and aggressive. So when it comes to meeting othe males of his species, things seem to get ugly. For some reason, Taru is extremely territorial when it comes to situations like these. Perhaps he's just being too cautious or overly protective...
Background: As far as we know, Taru lived the average life of most dragoras... whatever that means. 0-o
