Congratulations? haha yea it was great wasnt it? have you watched the movie yet? oh you should its sooo awesome and i loved the ending i thought it would have even been better if the series ended like that!

Is there a movie apart from those 2 with real characters?
And what is it about?
One thing: the end of the series (manga's too) is like...
Well, I don't like it, they could have done better than "I make an ultra-perfect copy of the death note and you fall in the trap like an idiot".
To be honest, I think the plot has been always great but began to low its level of greatness when L died. And it gone decreasing untill the end of the series. Even though, I must say I loved Death Note and it will be one of my fauvorites for ages.
I recommend seeing the alternative ending of the manga and the real characters movies. (Those last ones just because of the plot, the actors are sooo bad...).

I agree with you about the alternate ending. I liked that a lot better than the anime/manga ending.
When L walked down the steps I could have cried, it was so happy
(this last sentence is written in white so it doesn't give away the ending to the people who haven't seen it because they could have watched the anime/manga but not the movie)

Personally I LOVE the alternate ending, and hate the manga/anime ending...mabye cuz I dislike Mello and Near... But you have to remember, they couldn't have done the REAL eanding becuase they couldn't make the ENITRE series into a movie!! I mean, they already made TWO movies and there was SO MUCH more in the series that if they DID make the enitre thing into a movie it'd be...liek maybe 4 or 5 movies!! maybe 6!! ((......hey I said maybe XD))

((......hey I said maybe XD)) Well, the movies give us another view of would have happened in the series when it was still at its top (with L alive) ending it there. But I think the movies missed lots of important details and even some death note rules to be explained... So... maybe it wasn't necessary to make 6 movies out of a series in order to explain it all... but 3 movies, ending like the movies end, and adding some details to make it more understandable and less confusing, and leading to the same end, would have been a nice idea (personally I hate the "girlfriend" appeared from nowhere and some other inventions).

Well well well~~~~ I was curious about this "new movie"... It's a spin-off from the series, that can only take place if we follow the plot of the 2 last movies. The last 23 days of L... Sounds fantastic, I hope it fills my expectations. Official PageYoutube TrailerI post it for those who haven't seen it. There's still something to be seen by us Death Note fans!!!

One more thing:
2008's January's Seventh:
This day's upcoming Shonen Jump will include a one-shot by Takeshi Obata and Isshin Nishio (You may know who they are). It can be something completely new... ooooooor~~~~ some kind of death note's secuel or spin-off.
So, we may take a look at that~~~~

daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang...so now we get to finally know what that whole 23 days so and so hours meant at the end... Oo ...
wait..didn't L DIE in the Death Note The Last Name? XD ah phooey I am so confused...
Well I ish VERY glad you put that up here!! I had come across something saying once that there was going to be a "L" movie...but I wasn't sure if it was right or not.

I crammed in the last 27 episodes of the anime into my head in just two days. Maybe that wasn't smart. Haha, I'm kind of suffering from sleep deprivation and depression. I just don't want it to be over! There is just so much still to ponder over. I'm mostly depressed because he fell for it. I mean, come on Light! We know you're smarter than that! But, I guess he just went insane and his thoughts got clouded. I also found the parallel between Near and L very interesting. L with his sweats, and Near with his toys, also the thum/hair twriling things. Dialated pupils, bad posture, and no shoes. Hmm... mad genius thing? Or can those traits actually help deductive reasoning? And some of those characters, wow! I would have loved to dive deeper into their lives. Especially Watari, and perhaps Mello. Oho! There is so much more I would love to discuss, but I'm afraid I'm boring anyone who may chance upon this post, and I smell toquitos. ^_^

Yeah, i personally love the 2 movies! it has a nice ending though ryuuzaki killed himself, though, why didn't he just write instead of 23 later dies peacefully, why not something like 1 or 2 years? or more? loool...it's like his whole life was to get kira. but it was awsome lol. funny how ryuk turned on light heheh...

I hate the movies, personally because it's so different from the series that I've watched so wholeheartedly. crying I like the fact though that L survived in this movie since L is one of my super fave characters. The movie features the girlfriend of Light who was actually that girl from the time he wanted to find out the name of the one that was following him, Raye Penbar, the one he was on a date with going to that Space Land or something, I forgot. rofl
Anyway, the movie is nice to watch but I hate the fact they didn't even feature Mello and Near, my favorite characters too!! 3nodding But I hate Misa, in both the movie and the series...I think she's like a barbie wannabe so there's no actual girl that I admire in Death Note. sweatdrop I think...
