Screaming Trees

This was one of the first grunge bands I listened to, a la my friend, and I still love them.
Discography (for working purposes, no singles and such):
Nearly Lost You - 2001
Dust - 1996
Sweet Oblivion - 1992
Weak - 1992
Anthology: SST Years 1985-1989 - 1991
Uncle Anesthesia - 1990
Buzz Factory - 1989
Even If and Especially When - 1987
I'd highly suggest Uncle Anesthesia. It's got a killer opening track, and the rest of it's great too. Sweet Oblivion is just as good. Either one of those, really. The others on that list I either haven't listened to/I don't listen to nearly as much.

Quote:
Screaming Trees was a musical group considered part of the grunge music movement of the early 1990s. Founded in Ellensburg, Washington in 1985, their sound was a mixture of arty '60s psychedelia and west-coast punk rock. Though highly regarded among critics, they never achieved the superstardom of other grunge acts such as Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains or Pearl Jam. They disbanded after touring for their last record, Dust, released in 1996.
