It Comes Out Like This...
Millions of years ago: It was the dawning of a new era. Demons and Vampires got along fairly well. It wasn't until then that humans had been introduced to the world and these 'monsters' as they called them. That's when everything seemed to go overboard. Vampires and Demons alike fought for land as humans pushed them out of their territory. Both races were afraid to fight them since they reproduced quicker then either. It wasn't long before the Vampires hid in country sides and other places while Demons hid up in mountains. No one had ever seen them since then.
One million years ago: Vampires had adapted to the country side and staying in hiding. That's all they really did. The only time they came out was at night where neither opposing race would see them. As for the demons? They became sly and cunning. More so then before. But as it turns out, one vampire girl bumped into a demon boy. They saw each other in secrecy until their leaders found out. The vampire girl was captured and killed. It had all been apart of the demon boys plan. Because of that, he had refreshened the sense of war between others as they fought to kill off the other race.
Now: The war still rages on. Only this time, they are getting sneakier. Vampires are taking in humans with potential so that demons can't use them against them. These humans with 'potential' have a special ability. The ability to see some things from the future or past in their sleep. Many humans have died when fought over. Now there is a girl with the power. The only one that hasn't picked a side yet. This is her story and, her life.

Fate yawned as she walked away from her school. Her mom wouldn't allow her to drive to school considering she had almost crashed her car coming out of the driveway a few weeks ago. A sigh escaped her mouth and continued down the sidewalk. Every step she took led her away from her once normal life to what would soon be a disaster. A breeze blew and chilled her to the bone. She looked around and shivered slightly. It was still August so she didn't find it odd to be cold and slightly windy. It seemed so natural. Oh if only she knew...
Rounding a corner, she heard a car screech and then drive away. Her eyes left the sidewalk as she looked up. Her once bored expression turned to that of horror. Laying next to the mail box was her mom on the ground bleeding. Her eyes followed the skid marks down the street. Panic had overwhelmed her and she whipped out her cell phone calling 9-1-1. The ambulance came shortly after...
A few hours passed until she was allowed to go in. Nurses whispered among themselves and the doctor shook his head. He looked over at her and sighed. He would wait a little longer before telling her what had happened. How her mother wouldn't live much longer at this rate. Fate had figured it out already though. Her mother had turned a deathly pale and her breathing seemed irregular. "She's not going to live is she..." Grey orbs wandered over to the woman who laid restlessly on the bed. "Don't lie. I already know it. I can tell. I'm not some stupid little kid! You don't need to hide these things from me!" She screamed at the doctor and nurses who displayed bewilderment. Running out tears streamed down her face.
Fate found a chair around the corner and sat down. It was in what looked like a recreational room. Deserted. That's how she felt. Her mother was going to die, not to mention the fact no one was in the room. Or was there? Footsteps approached her and she looked up. Her face was tear streaked and she wiped the remaining tears away as a man dressed in black approached her.
"Your mother... She won't live. Your well aware of that aren't you?" He asked her and nodded to himself as she shook her head yes. "It's heartbreaking... For someone to lose a person they need around so quickly." He looked around the empty room. The man listened to her choked breathing as she tried to calm herself down. "I can help... What would you say if I could make her better?" His eyes returned to her. "There's a price I must warn though..."
"Anything." She whispered looking up at the angelic figure. He seemed so... Perfect. "Anything just don't take her away from me!" She pleaded as he turned and walked away. A few minutes later she left the room to return to her mothers side and was shocked when the doctors told her she'd be alright. They would send her home the next morning.

The man has returned for her now. He was a vampire and she doesn't know it. He needs her help though. There's a secret about her she has failed to notice. Now who will get her first to end this battle? Him or the demons? That's where the story leaves off for you to pick up...
