Hey everyone! As a new mod, I would like to start my service to this guild off with a bang. Id like this thread to be a creative list of innovative, custom made spells, each with detailed descriptions of the outcome of each spell, possible backfires, and perhaps even the specific wand-strokes. I think this would be a good way to let our creativity flare. I'll be choosing several that I find to be the most creative and awarding the authors with a small tribute to their imaginations.
Thank you! I'm looking forward to seeing what all of you come up with! ^-^
BTW: Grand Prize is 5k

Yay, I'm the first to comment.
But besides that, here's my spell:
Bellaglacia...
You must do an interpretive dance while saying the spell!
x]
This spell calls forth a wave of sudden chill which forms crystalline ice particles that flow about and can be even controlled to form structures...or dance about!
This can be good for decorations, as a shield, or even to change the environment or usher the faster coming of seasons [though only for the time the spell lasts.]

This is...interesting. Okay! -thinks- Chromagis =D Derived from the roots of "color" and "more", this spell creates a burst of bright colors from the caster's wand which can be used for both combat and decorative purposes. The colors can be controlled by how much you wave your wand--you just need to find the light wave patterns. Caution: The colors that come from the wand may result in temporary or permanent blindness. This spell is still under research.
-- Can we enter more than one spell? ^ ^

Polleo catena ---Latin meaning powerful chain
Wand movement: Short, strong flick of the wrist, almost like a jab.
What it does: With this spell, you can successfully conjure strong, magical chains around your opponent. This prevents them for sudden movements and/or attacking. Commonly used to question Death Eaters at the Ministry of Magic.

It's fun thinking of spells...
^^"
Like umm...
Adelishous
No necessary movement required other than pointing at target.
It makes two things happen:
1) If it is directed at a living organism, that organism loses its sense of taste (useful in Fear Factor and such.)
2) Makes other things tasteless (so you probably won't get eaten by an ogre or something)
Malaromic
While pointing at target:
For 1):
Short wrist snap
For 2):
Tap wand in target's general position
It makes two things happen based on movements:
1) The target will smell and taste bad
2) Everything the target smells or tastes will be unappealing to the point of vomiting

Okay. Latin roots! (yay) Pyrocontego Meaning fire shield, this spell is cast by drawing a half-circle around the object you want to protect, facing whatever you're going against. A defensive spell discovered when a first year pronounced "protego" extremely wrong. Cast correctly, a wall of flame bursts up along the lines of where the tip of the wand went. Unfortunately, in combat, people move while casting spells...occasionally resulting in a wizard or witch stepping right into their shield. At that point, it's not really a shield anymore...
Pyromenti The opposite of aquamenti, pyromenti shoots out a jet of flame rather than a jet of water. Unlike water though, the fire disappears right after the spell has been cast. Rather useless, unless you're pointing your wand at a candle. Or a tank of gasoline.
Pokisempra A cousin of sectumsempra and rictumsempra, pokisempra gives the victim of the spell the feeling of being poked. It is cast by gently jabbing the wand in the direction of the victim. It results in a very amusing class setting. Shortly after the discovery of this spell, much disliked members of the Ministry of Magic found themselves constantly being prodded during meetings.

Well if I created a spell it would be Armagonna (arm-a-gonna) When you say it you have to stare at your oppenent. When you do so your eyes will turn bright orange. When you shoot you can control all nature things (Rocks, water, fire, trees etc) You can defend yourself by controlling rocks and jumping onto them. smile

Another spell I thought of is called Shadora (sha-door-ah) All you do is point to your shadow say the spell and the shadow will do your bidding. Like your shadow will scare people, get information on things etc. You wont be able to get caught because when your shadow feels threatened he/she will run back to you and dissapear for a couple minutes then come back. biggrin

Spell name: Araneiosicco (ar-raan-i-o-siso) Meaning Aran root for Araneide scientific name for spider, sicco latin for out.
What it does: Thousands of small poisonous spiders shoot out of the tip of your wand towards your opponent.
When used: Dueling, or defensive situations. This spell can be deadly so only use it in the prescribed situations.
Risk: If spell not used correctly, then spiders could start shooting at you.
Wand movement: 2 circles going counter-clockwise, and then a jab like movement towards target.
Level of difficulty: Only experienced wizards should attempt this spell because of the dangerous risks.

Niveuscasus (Niv-es-cas-us) ----Meaning Snow downfall.
Using a small flick of the wrist and then a making of an x like shape with movment of the wand, This cunning spell will make snow sprout from your wand's tip. Adding a color word*, like viridis- meaning green- can turn the snow green for a St. Pattie's Day Celebration! But don't for get the most the most important part! this snowwill remain froven for 12 hours! And with the reverse spell, Repetoobviamvirga (re-pet-o-ob-vee-um-vir-ga), -to return to the wand- will send the snow back to the wand tip for easy cleanup! The wrist movement is now, instead of a x, making a cirle after your wristflick! Its so simple, a 1st year could do it!
*Color words Green- Viridis- Niveuscasusviridis red- cruentus- Niveuscasuscruentus yellow- crocinus - Niveuscasuscrocinus blue- turchino -Niveuscasusturchino black- infusco- Niveuscasusinfusco
Does this count as 2 spells?

If I had to create one it would be called...... Looneveris (Loon-ev-er-is) When you shoot your wand and say the spell Looneveris it will do its stuff. It will make a huge shield that look like a moon, or it can change you into a dog. ( I got inspired by my dog Luna)

Atracaelumruinosus (A-tra-k-loom-ruin-o-sus) -------Dark Sky Falling Down This spell swiftly creates a black darkness around a person's attacker. All who were not targeted for this spell still have full vision, while the opponet can't see a thing. To cast such a spell requires a eloquent wave of ones wand and then a short flick of the wrist. It would be catogorized as an Illusion Spell.
This spell has a three hour limit before it's effect will ware off.
