 Del corazon ran through the woods in an attempt to warm himself.
"Brr! How cold it is when water becomes like knives!" he cried as his hooves crushed the powdery snow below his hooves. He stopped dead in his tracks as he spotted some leaves on a tree that still looked edible. He felt like a million dollars as he walked over to sample the tender leaves.

Spade spotted the blue stallion from behind a trail of bushes, and he carefully watched as the male chomped on some leaves. Spade was cautious at first, since he needed to sense if this stallion was kind or not. He clearly was not another Kalona, so that probably meant if anything, he would be more afraid of Spade.
Spade, being a UniKalona, needed to keep himself hidden at all times, since the threat of death was constant. His inherited a mixed breed that was shameful, and the stallion was careful in keeping himself alive. With a light head spasm, Spade finally decided to walk forward, and come out from behind the bushes. "Good day.." he then said, while twitching his head slightly. The stallion was so bright and blue, and he basically contrasted Spade's color.

Del Corazon looked in the direction of the red strange stallion. He smelled strange and looked curious. Del took a step towards the stallion, curious about the stranger's features.
"Good Day. What might you be? I have never seen a soquili quite like you before. " asked Del. His nose almost touched the other stallion's

Spade was very taken aback by the other stallion's closeness, and he instinctively snorted while stepping a few strides back. "Well, I am a UniKalona, so it is no surprise that you are confused. I'm used to it by now." His neck shook as he spoke, and he glanced over at the other stallion's features. His face was glarey, but it always was.
"Now, what exactly.. are you? I don't think I have ever seen a stallion with wings like those.. are they wings?" Spade wasn't trying to be rude, but he was definitely also confused by the stallion's traits. "I have never seen a Soquili like yourself either. I suppose that means you and I need to venture out more." With a light chuckle, Spade was trying to make a joke, but realized it probably wasn't as funny as it thought. He was trying to be more social and likable, so he was trying everything step by step.

Del took a step back as the red stallion snorted. He took notice of the stallion's feirceness. He was unfarmiliar with the term unikalona. Del gave the soquili a warm smile.
"I am a flutter. According to my father, my kind help the flowers grow. I suppose we are more alike than we seem." chuckled Del. He noticed that the unikalona seemed to feel akward.
"These wings I have are quite different from yours. Mine always feel that they will freeze off at any moment. I bet yours get cold too. They are so much bigger than mine." said Del in admiration.

Spade was a bit perplexed, since he had never met someone with powers like that. "Well, I will have to take note of what a flutter is from now on, and see if I can find others like you. Flowers are a nice commodity, so that is a nice gift to have." At least flutters were taking care of the earth! Spade thought for a moment, wondering what strengths he had himself. He didn't see himself as very useful, but that was his own self perception.
"I guess I never realized that there were different types of wings.. but yes, I enjoy mine, they let me fly when I desire. But I don't enjoy flying that much, I am too unstable in the air." With a sigh, he glanced back at the stallion, while remembering one other trait of his. "My horn is able to heal apparently, but I have never used it. That's why I am so tainted compared to other Kalonas, since that is something Unicorns can do. Its strange how life gives us these options." His eyes trailed off the flutter, and he once again pondered his heritage while in thought. Maybe he had more powers.. and yet he had no idea.

Del smiled.
"As we can never knew where the winds go, such is our path in life. I have never met a Kalona or a Uni, but you seem kind. I bet you can do all sorts of things. As you can see, even when I'm big I'm still smaller than you. I have a friend whose wings are shaped like flowers, it is quite a sight to see! Maybe I can introduce you two. Would you like these leaves here? they are still edible." said Del as nodded in the direction of the tree branch. He was starting to like this stranger. Even if he was a little scary looking. He had yet to harm Del, so why did he need to fear him?

Spade nodded as the other stallion spoke, since it was easy to agree with his kind and wise words. "Wings shaped like flowers? Those would be interesting." he then commented, while brining his eyes to the ground. At the stallion's invite to eating leaves, Spade could only laugh slightly. "Ah, I appreciate the offer but, I stick to eating meat. Its the way I live and stuff.." That was probably something awkward to bring up, but hopefully the stallion wouldn't mind.
"You are also a very kind stallion, are all flutters kind? I should probably warn you that if you see another Kalona, they won't be kind. Kalonas are not kind at all, they even want me to be killed. I guess as you said, that's just the way things work." Spade shrugged slightly, while watching the blue stallion walk over to the leaves. "What is your name, by the way? Mine's Spade."

So it was true what they little his father had said about Kalona. Here, Del had hoped it was just a misunderstanding. Still, Spade was nice enough, even if he eating habits were strange.
"Don't two leggers also eat meat? I heard that from my father that they do. I can imagine that most flutters would be scared of you but if I told them that you were nice, they would be just as curious as I am! We can become very small, you see, so we have to be careful of those around us. " replied Del as he took a grateful munch from the leaves. there wasn't a lot of leaves, but it was enough for a snack.
"I am Del Corazon, son of Ayuni and Desire, brother to Rosace. I am very honored to have met you. "

"I think that two leggars also eat meat.." then then commented, since he knew nothing about that knowledge. But his thoughts were quickly drifted to the flutter's words on size changing. "You can become small? How do you do that? Aren't you afraid someone will step on you? I remember being small when I was a colt, and I didn't like it at all." Spade chuckled lightly, since he felt connected to the subject.
"And it is nice to meet you, Del Corazon." His introduction to himself was a bit strange to Spade, but he was glad to hear his information of his birth and such. "So you have a brother? I have two stinkin sisters, who give me so much crap all of the time. I am jealous, having a brother must be awesome." With a light neck twitch, he brought a grin on his face while bending over to smell on of the leaves below him.

"I can be assmall as a butterfly! It's very scary when there are other soquili about, but perfect for hiding! My favorite place is inside the hallow of trees!" Del Corazon shook his wings. Spade was such an interesting soquili. His life was so different and it sounded like it was quite the adventure.
"I love my brother, although he is very quiet ad tens to tease me. I can only imagine what sisters are like. I get so nervous around mares. They always whisper and giggle amongst themselves" said Del as he recalled moments when he was dumbstruck by mares. He did not posses his father's charisma with the ladies.

"Hiding? That does sound like it would be effective." Spade was always hiding himself, but Del Corazon really had the advantage now, since no one would ever think to look into the hollow of trees. "Do you hide a lot? Or do you just use it to explore?" Since.. it would be a way to see everything from a butterfly's perspective. When the stallion thought about it, that would really be awesome.
"All mares tend to do that, but there are some with good intentions and some with bad intentions. Like my sisters, they always giggle and mock me, because they are evil wretches. But I have met a mare who would never do that to be mean, and she proved to me that nice ones exist out there. So don't give up hope." Spade dimly smiled, but hoped his words could help strengthen the stallion's confidence.

Del Corazon's eyes became wide.
"I never thought about how different the world looked when one is small! Say, are you farmiliar with spring? I'm still very young compaired to most soquili, so I've never seen it. But I bet it would be wonderful to see it when one is small! I have an idea! In spring, you and I could go exploring during springtime. I can find the most fragrant flowers in the tree, and you could turn over heavy rocks to get at the bugs under them! I heard that you can find frogs there too!" the flutter chirped. He swished his blue and white tail to dust off the snow off his back.

Spade chuckled at the male's excitement, and could only nod his head with a smile. "Yes yes, I have seen Spring. It is a nice season, with everything you speak of. The temperature is warmer, so all of the creatures come out to play. It really is a sight all right! I bet you will enjoy shrinking then, so you can get a view of all of the bugs that come out from the ground." Hopefully Del Corazon wouldn't get squashed or anything.. Spade could imagine that as awful! "In the Summer, even more creatures come out, and all types of bugs show themselves in the terrible heat. Its really funny how nature works."
