For being an anime guild, we really don''t have many treads about it. This thread will similar to the "Which anime" thread in the AMC.
It''s for: -What do you think is the funnest/saddest/most romantic/most surprising moment in any anime? -Favorite quotes for any of the above. -similar questions

I've always wanted to get into Di Gi Charat. Just never really had the chance to act. So, to make up for lost opportunities, here's Puchiko doing morning stretches.

Aww.. Puchiko. heart
Saddest moment for me in an Anime; Luciola dying in Last Exile and finding out he's nothing but an android type being.

I feel like posting my favorite anime fights. I'm pretty sure that at least SJL has seen this exact description posted before though. ninja
Cowboy Bebop: Knocking on Heaven's Door
I get shivers just thinking of this fight. Spike takes on Vincent in the climax of the movie, and it's just frosting on the cake. It hurts me to pick this one over the broom fight for sheer originality, but it's just a modern classic.
Naruto
Naruto v. Gaara
This is fight was the main event of the Chounin Exam arc for me, it was just the culmination of so many things and the first time I really considered Naruto to have pulled off something really badass. Except maybe when he fought Orochimaru the first time and laid into Sasuke.
Tsunade/Naruto/Jiraiya/Orochimaru/Kabuto
Since I'm obviously a sucker for the Godzilla level fights, this one is a no-brainer. The way people just pounded the living s**t out of eachother was pretty stunning, especially just how badly Naruto tore into Kabuto. But then Tsunade just humiliated Orochimaru. She spanked him.
Every Rock Lee fight
Lee is a madman and a powerhouse, and beyond that probably the best developed character in the series. You can see clearly that when they decide which scenes get the best quality animation, Lee is at the top of the list. My problem with Lee is that he never wins a single fight despite being such a prodigy. Having him lose the Gaara fight was a major development and important to the series, and having Gaara bail him out of the Kimimaru fight was an engineered LOLOMGWTFBBQ moment to be sure, but when the hell will he actually win?
The End of Evangelion
Asuka against the production units. The reward for watching the whole series. This is the kind of badass she wanted to be the whole series but couldn't put it together until this second when all her bravado turns into one big gory a** kicking. I don't think I've ever seen such a malicious beating outside of the Sin City movie. If you can think of a better way to go out with a bang, I'd like to hear it.
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
The Major against the Narc squad guy in the mech. It was blatant allegory to the climax of the movie, but so what? I just love how she screams at Saito to give her the gun. If Linda Hamilton firing a shotgun one handed in T2 was cool, I don't know what to call firing what's almost an anti-tank gun single handed with the other arm blown off at the elbow.
The Tachicomas against the mech in the woods. The poignancy of it all, the self sacrifice, the schoolgirl voices.
Saito's flashback in season 2 when he takes on The Major one on one. I don't know what's scarier, the fact that he's such a tactical genius or that she's just that much better.
Jin Roh
The climax in the sewers. For some reason the whole movie just felt so American to me in how it captured the soldiers and the spooks were characterized, which is pretty irrelevant to how the spooks were just hunted down like dogs. Fuse was like an unstoppable automaton or something, just smashing your perception of him wide open.

Funny moments in anime... Yu Yu Hakusho - When Yusuke's spirit beast hatches and his friends make fun of him for Puu being so cute. It never gets old. Get Backers - The whole hospital episode in general. Akabane bringing Genji a basket is just icing on the cake! *lol* Gravitation - Tatsuha wanting to get fresh with Shuichi after meeting him for the first time. Yami no Matsuei - Muraki hitting on Tsuzuki in the third story arc. Rurouni Kenshin - Kenshin in the hot springs not realizing that he's naked. xd

Spider_Jerusalem Asuka against the production units. Yes.SJL>> What I found sad about Luciola's death was how seemingly meaningless it was. He was trying to save Dio, but what good did it do? That's really one of the problems I had with the ending of Last Exile - how Dio wound up being little more than a loose end that needed to be snipped to clean up before the curtain fell. Certainly it's more like something that would actually happen, but it just wasn't very satisfying.
