It's been a while since we last spoke. Remember me? Agent X9 from Gaians In White, your friend and the one who you gave a 5-Star Interview. Well Here I am asking you some few more things if you can answer.
It would be an honor to me and my friends if you can answer me these few questions, don't worry, nothing that you say will be used against you. So please let me know if you can answer.
Below are the questions my friend:
Q: The Battle System has been probably the most loved/hated feature on Gaia yet it has created quite a buzz for itself, how do you feel being the Head of States regarding the creation of this feature?
A: Are you kidding? I love it! Getting the chance to bring a well-loved world to life and fleshing it out into vibrancy and extended gameplay? Who wouldn't want to do that? I've been making games for a long time now and I can smell a winner when it's on the way. This has all the earmarks of being a very successful game.
Q: Lets talk a little bit about the concept art and the final art for the Battle System... Who works on it and how did you react when you saw the first concepts?
A: I didn't actually see any concepts before taking the job. All I had to go on was my extensive reading of the main site itself. What I saw there was hugely creative and in a completely different vein than any other community I had been involved with previously. I was hooked. The concept art for the game is created by talented folks on the Battle team (we have really great artists!) and overseen by our team's Art Director.
Q: I saw something some time ago and now I ask you about it. The OMG Monster that is displayed in the battle system, we know very little about it but, I saw one that resembles him some how during December 2006 in the Weekly Comic of The Fishing Kid, here is the link. Are these two monsters the same or are they two completly different creatures?
A: hehehe. The OMG is an "Animated" version of the OMG hat that Gaia sells as merchandise. That's the only link with what you see in that comic. ("Animated" is a term from the fiction of Battle to describe inanimate objects coming to life. It's all about the capital "A" at the beginning of the word. wink
Q: Changing the topic a little bit. Let me ask you something more... Personal. Besides working on the battle system, are there any other aspects of gaia that you work hand-to-hand with? (i.e arena, towns, etc.)
A: Nope. I'm full-time (*more* than full-time) with just working on Battle. I do sit in on planning and strategy sessions for the company, but I'm not responsible for anything other than Battle.
Q: Last question for now my friend, what would you like to see installed into the plot line of Gaia? I mean, we had Zombies, Aliens, Vampire... What in your opinion would make a sweet addition to these already legendary creatures?
A: That would be telling! All right...a bit of info...we're starting with the stuff that you know and love already, and then adding new stuff as you move through the world into newer spaces. So yeah...we're definitely adding to the pantheon of Gaian characters (not just people, but races, non-Animated creatures, and more).

Qixter thank you for your time and patience my friend, and if you would like to say a few words to our friends who are viewing this interview which would those words be?
Battle is still a way off...but it's going to be worth the wait. We'll get an update to the website done after the new year sometime so that you can see some of the huge progress we've been making.
Building a big game like this is a lot like building a pyramid. It takes for-EVER to build the lower levels, and it exhausts everyone involved...but once you get past the midway point, it moves faster and faster. We just passed that midway point and things are really starting to come together now. The next few months are going to be a great ride.
