I wake up groggily next to a strange, small tree. Memories start coming back to me as my still sleep-addled mind takes in the temple surroundings.

I recall that yesterday I had recieved a letter inviting me hear, telling me that I had won a contest. I did vaugely remember entering a raffle, but had forgotten what the prize was. Curious and with nothing better to do, I decided to check it out latter in the day. When I finally reached the place I came across a note on the floor and I bent down to look at it. It read:

If you're reading this that means you've finally come to pick up your prize! It's the last one left and should be right in front of you.

I looked up and saw the same strange, small tree I woke up next to today. It was a light brown color with swirls of white. I picked it up and examined it carefully, never before seeing a tree with that type of coloring. However, the tree's looks were not as enticing as the slight smell of hot coco I detected coming from the tree. Leaning in closer, I breathed in the wonderful scent.

I walked around and soon felt tired. It was almost nightime afterall. I looked around for a sutable place to sleep and soon found one in the form of a nice, comfy chair. Gently setting the tree besides me, I was soon grasp by the bliss unawareness of slumber.

Now I graze my hand across some of the leaves, careful not to accidentally break a branch as I continued my examination from yesterday. I could almost swear I saw something moving inside the branches. But what could it possibly be? Some sort of miniature elf-gremlin type creature? Na, I must have been seeing things.

I now pick the tree up and walk around looking for anyone else in this place.

The newborn Ertiba, Serina, watches it's new caretaker warily from deep within the safe branches of it's tree. The young thing was too scared and shy to confront this human yet. It almost overcame these obstacles when seeing the human touching it's tree. However, after noticing the she wasn't hurting the tree, it was content with nibbling on leaves nearby while constantly watching.

At first, Serina was shocked by the sensation of being lifted up along with the tree, but learned to enjoy the sensation of a constant, steady up and down movement created by it's caretaker walking around the place.
