It just is.
I've been hearing and reading so much about how it's a lie that I got lazy and have not provided links to sites that refute it. There's just too much evidence. Even the History Channel delicately said something like, "although many are concerned about global warming, we are in a gap between two ice ages. Most of human history has occurred during this gap."
I remember when the left was all about no nukes. Could it be that it is no longer a rallying cry, because then they would be against Iran and other 3rd world countries developing nukes? And since that just couldn't, couldn't happen, they are proffering this as a bully pulpit and a rallying cry? And it's not just Al Gore - no one does this alone. He is used as a frontman because he was vice president under Bill Clinton.
I mean...we are to be good stewards of the earth. Using resources responsibly is preferable to wasting them. That idea existed before Al Gore. But terror tactics on the population are despicable.

Several people I know who were around in the seventies--and who don't know each other--have told me that they cannot take global warming seriously because back then the big concern was with catastrophic global cooling.
Even those who buy the whole thing can't keep their story straight.
Global warming's a hoax? But we have ALWAYS been at war with Eastasia.... (People who don't get that reference will probably just think I'm delusional)

Where are the filmmakers and news anchors telling it from our point of view (reality)?

I wish more people saw the truth like you, Intuet. instead, they bury their heads in the sand trying to save a dying world thats not actually dieing. I would not trust the history channel anymore considering they keep showing that thing on the seven signs of the Apocalypse; most of them arn't legit.

It is a dying world, but in the spiritual sense, not "the sky is falling panic!" sense. Their instinct is correct, but they're applying it incorrectly, so the guilt is laid on society, but not on the individual, where it belongs.
A hundred years ago, we might have had preachers yelling about whatever sins were in fashion, warning of hellfire and freaking out the crowds. Now we have fatkats yelling about current fashionable sins, and some that aren't actually sins, yelling about a hot Earth and still freaking out the crowds. The preachers were probably right. The fatkats are probably wrong, or so science (REAL science) indicates.
Yeah the History Channel has gone downhill since last year. They tried to be fairer and more accurate then: they flopped since. Guess they gave up and joined the mystic Dan Brown wagon. So what are they getting wrong about the Apocalypse?
