I had an idea of having players participate in the creation of a world.

Players would be a god/goddess, representing an aspect(s) of existence. From large ideas like Fire, to specific ones like thieves or wolves. When a deity is first created they will most likely have one, broad aspect to represent them (such as earth or darkness); gaining more as they act. How 'strong' a deity is important also, since they'll need to interact with others over affairs such as worshipers or courses of action.

One problem is if one has the power of a god, then they will abuse at some point. So there would need to be a limit in some way, whether it be though a point system, or though RP and honor.

Basic Concepts:
- Role Play is necessary for actions!
Ex: Drina's tears over her fallen brother wash over the land, flooding several areas completely. The settled water is salty, and has caused the lowest land to be covered in an OCEAN (Drina would become an Ocean or Water Goddess at this point, and now there is a large mass of water covering the world. She could also represent Sorrow if she continues mourning over her brother)
or
With a flick of his wrist, Raak cuts a deep wound into Helleh with his once concealed dagger. (Raak has injured Helleh and becomes associated with Trickery)
-A god's 'strength' comes from their worshipers or other sources.
-A separation of some kind, to create conflicts. (Good vs. Evil, Law vs. Chaos, Elements, Alliances, or just keep it Grey and let it come out naturally.)
-A time limit? (How long until we say, 'it's done'.)
-Overgods (The Moderators. Very apathetic and have little to no influence on the world beyond their interaction with deities and shaping the land.)
-A limitation on actions. (But that shouldn't stop you from RPing)

It's not really my idea. (It came a forum of a different site, but that one is ending) sweatdrop

When we're finished with it, we could use the world for more Role Plays. mrgreen
