I am going to post this to stop the arguments. For one it being out of your control. And for two, Sony deserved what they got for Capcoms decision. This is the Gamefaqs most current page on the information for Monster Hunter 3... PS3 Edition. PS3 Version... Looks cancelled to me. Now here is the one for Monster Hunter 3... Wii edition. Wii Version... To Be Announced.. Apparently everyone was wrong on where Capcom was going. But since Nintendo does offer the ability to "Online Play" for Pokemon Revolution, Monster Hunter 3 may be seeing a long since missed gameplay... Online FREE multiplayer.. 3nodding

To further solidify this fact, here's the vid. No more bitching about the fact it was supposed to be PS3 exclusive people.

Actually, WiiConnect24 wasn't powerful enough for online play, and it was axed. Sorry guy, guess you'll have to settle for split screen, if they even include it.
Where is MH3 heading? Apparently straight down the toilet.

And it doesn't matter if WiiConnect24 works fine (which Brawl has proven does not), because Capcom has already stated it will not be online, and possibly not even multiplayer.

Before this becomes Internet Arguement material, I'd like to quote the Monster Hunter Wikia which, while it is a Wiki, may shed some light on the multiplayer and may be true. "It is also very likely MH3 will be able to be played online since Nintendo announced a plan to ally with NTT East and NTT West, the regional fixed phone service unit of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp. The partners will offer a one-stop service for Internet-ready Wii, covering select Internet service providers and setting up an Internet connection." Oh, and as a source: http://monsterhunter.wikia.com/wiki/Monster_Hunter_3

Capcom announced to IGN, G4 and 1Up.com that its coming to the US as Monster Hunter Tri during the Tokyo gameshow and even gave them press packets with translated names and such. It will have four player online in a desert city as well as split screen co-op. They are using their own servers for online services like they did on the PS2 versions, Frontier uses another company's servers, Daletto, which is why that game's online services cost money.
Quit being such a pessimistic p***k because it didnt go on the PS3. They took it off of the system because it wouldnt get any money and people dont sell something they know will create a deficit.

Isn't this Announcement Thread for posting Hunter ID's & Screennames.
not for bickering?
anyways
im a monster hunter fan, and have been since 2004. find me online in the city. which for those who don't know but think otherwise, is completely free to join and play with others.
though i will fore-warn any one who is questioning the content of the game. Monster Hunter Tri is no Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, content wise- monster hunter tri is lacking. but the game handles solid, almost no lag, and the graphics arent perfect but it certainly is a console monster hunter game.
