Yes! That's what I was thinking when I was watching it! That scene was incredible. To me, it was actually less disgusting than Pirelli's death. I dunno, the sounds weren't as bad. Maybe I was just used to it by the end...who knows?

Anyway, By The Sea. I think that was my favorite song in the movie. The little scenes were amazing! Me and my best friend couldn't breathe for laughing. It was totally our song! xDD

Oh, good God, that scene was such overkill (seriously). He just.. stabbed him SO many times. Maybe Burton wanted that to be his glorious moment, finally killing Turpin. I thought it was a little ridiculous though; not awful, just a little too unrealistic.

By the Sea had the whole audience cracking up. Depp's face was just priceless -- and the wedding scene. HAHA I was crying. xD <33

The ending was great but very sad. I was at the edge of my seat...words can't describe what I was thinking.

Maybe Im more twisted than even my psychologist knows, but I really loved seeing the bodies fall down. It's described in some book I have, probably about the real Sweeney Todd, but it proves Tim Burton did some research -- not surprising at all. but I miss the "Attend the Tale of Sweeney Todd" songs.

I find it incredible that Sweeney sliced his customers open once and they died instantly, yet he stabbed Judge Turpin dozens of times and he didn't die that quickly. o___o; Well, all for dramatic effect, I suppose. I was really happy with the movie in general. A Little Priest and By the Sea (omfg, wedding was so funny) were hilarious, as to be expected, and the ending was intense. ;D

I enjoyed the movie. It played out like a silent film, with the actor's being so introverted and all. I liked the fact that the blood in the film was used more for impression than realism. Johnny Depp surprised me with his singing, but I was also surprised that they let Helena Bonham-Carter sing her own part; I thought she was pretty awful.

But I think it was all worth it just to see Alan Rickman say "You GANDERED at my WARD."

Also, does anybody else wish they would have left in the Ballad of Sweeney Todd and the company in God That's Good?

Pirelli was leaking cerebral fluid out his nose. Did you see the yellow-y stuff?

Actually, it makes lots of sense.
With his customers, Sweeney made one clean, deep cut in the center of the throat, fataly severing the many arteries that connect in that area. However, when he stabbed the judge all those times, if you watch it close, you'll notice he stabbed the side and lower part of his neck, NOT the Judge's throat. While getting repeatedly stabbed there will kill you eventually from bloodloss, it won't sever as many vital arteries as a deep cut in the middle of the throat would. It was an easy way to keep the Judge suffering for a few seconds before killing him- a torture he didn't force his constumers to go through. Besides, it's a straight-razor. It's meant for slashing, not stabbing. The stabs couldn't have been very deep.

      Ah right, I see. That does make sense. ^^
      I guess so he could die a very slow, very painful death. o___o;

Woah, I think I missed that...! Well, I'll get the DVD. ^^

I was overall pretty happy with the movie, but I really wish they kept the Ballad of Sweeney Todd in. It seems like the opening instrumental music is mocking me.

I was blown away by the kid playing Toby. He was just so great, his singing was a lot stronger than Helena Bonham Carter's at points. And he was just so freakin adorable.

Bingo. Worst way to die I could think of..... you know, without counting burning to death in a furnace like Mrs. Lovett... burning_eyes
