The screen towering above the stands began to rotate clockwise. Faster... Faster... Faster! Anticipation began to build, until it finally slowed. The battlefield would be...
THE WATER FIELD!!!
Five large platforms float on the surface of the deep pool, four forming a diamond formation around the single platform in the center. While land pokemon can move around on this field, it was mainly built for water-types. Rules prevent the freezing of the water.

Renekai entered the field, Bell in her arms. "Hello there!" Renekai called to her opponent. "This is your first battle, right? I won't go easy on you!"
"Deli birr! Del!" Bell screeched, saying about the same thing to Ebba.
The team took their places and prepared for battle!

Naomi streched out her arms, throwing the Pokeball which glided smoothly into the air and landed onto one of the platforms ahead of her. "Aye, this is my first battle! I hope I do my best!" she returned to her opponent. A flash of color erupted from the ball as Naomi's Stantler broke into freedom. "Stant, Stantler, Stant!" it called to the Delibird, reading itself."Let's get to it!" Naomi called as she threw her hands in the air, then the microphones uptop roared: BATTLE COMMENCE!

"I'll do the honors of starting this battle, then?" Renekai asked, giving a mischievous smile and wink. "Go, Bell! Mega Kick!"
Bell ran around the pool in the middle of the stadium, gaining speed and momentum all the while. As she reached the Stantler, she pulled her foot back, then swung it forward, talons extended. She was so short that she was forced to aim at Ebba's knee, but it's hurt anyway.

"Okay then!" Naomi returned to late, the battle had already started.
Ebba recoiled himself from the attack, drawing itself back not too feel the pain.
"Ebba, use Slam!" Naomi called to her partner, and it delivered the order.
Ebba ran toward Bell, accelerating toward it hind legs to boost up speed. Ebba than flung itself toward Bell, pouncing to get a weak spot to hit.

Bell was small enough to defend herself by running underneath the jumping Stantler, but one hind hoof delivered a sharp blow to her back. Bell was knocked beak-first into the floor, the force of the fall causing her to slide into the pool. She sank a few inches before kicking madly and returning to the surface. Perfect. She was directly behind Ebba. Without waiting for her trainer to react, Bell sent a chilly Ice Beam at Ebba's unprotected back.
Renekai was about to order the very same attack, but Bell had beat her to it. Renekai looked ready to scold her Pokémon, but then thought better and gave a reluctant smile. She'd teach Bell who gave the orders after this match. No need to make a distraction...

Ebba felt reluctant, abling to get a hit upon Bell, but before he knew it, he was hit with a cold surge from behind. Cackling with a cry from a extreme cold, he tried his best to warm himself up.
Naomi stared at Ebba before ordering another move. "Ebba use Confusion!"

((No, because I didn't use it as a status attack. You used Confusion as a physical attack, so now I have to get creative... D: ))
Bell was hit full in the face with the confusion attack, but she wouldn't lose her focus. Not now. Shaking her head furiously, she accidentally cracked her head on the edge of the pool. After a moment's recovery, Bell regained a clear mind. She hopped out of the water, still slightly cross eyed from the blow.
"Okay, easy, Bell! Quick attack!"
Bell forced her eyes to see straight, then charged at Ebba. At the last moment, Bell leaped into the air to land her strike on the Stantler's back.

"Quick, Ebba! Move out of the way!" Naomi called to her partner.
Ebba heard the response and dodged the attack. Ebba skidded quite a distance, about four inches away from the edge of the platform. Steadying itself, it got back on course.
"Careful Ebba!" Naomi called to Ebba, "Now use Hidden Power!"
Ebba courses itself for a bit, and releases a blast of power from within itself. The power spreads out, let's see how it goes...

Bell clicked her beak angrily as she missed her target. Then she let out a squawk as she was blasted at least three feet away by the force of the attack.
"Freeze her!" Renekai ordered ruthlessly.
Bell charged the attack for a moment, then burst into flight to aim the freezing Ice Beam at Ebba's head. "DELLLLL!" she screeched as the blue beam was fired.

Ebba looked at the beam that was becoming formed by Bell. He stood their shocked, not knowing what to do nor hearing any command come from Naomi. But finally, the words he wished for came true.
Naomi looked at the beam, before closing her eyes and calling out. "Ebba, move out of the way!"
Because of this, Ebba jumped out of the way. And the frozen beam came out of failure.
Naomi finally called an attack, "Ebba use Confusion!" she said as she thrusted her hand forward like a general in an army. And of course, Ebba obeyed.
