 A week or so after emerging from his basket, Everhart was still the same. He was still skittish around other soquili and when he was with his family, he didn't understand why he was so different from all of them. Gazing around at the snow covered forest, Everhart continued walking. Now that he was older, he was allowed to wander off but had to be back in a few hours. He was enjoying this freedom because then he wasn't with his family where he was constantly comparing himself and wondering why he wasn't good enough.

Unlike Everhart, Mem didn't have to worry about when she returned home. She had free reign on this, and was now, happly running around like the energetic filly she was. Of course, she probably should pay attention, and she was about to learn that as she looked to the ground for a moment, looked up, and was about to crash into a blue colt. "AAAAH! " She whinnied, stomping her hooves onto the ground and skidding across the floor, stopping only a foot or so from craching into the blue colt's side.
"A.. haha... ha. "

Everhart didn't even hear her running towards him. He stared at her with blank emerald eyes; he didn't even bother moving because it wasn't like he could react fast enough anyway. When she stopped right before him, Everhart took a few quick steps back. Everhart was still uncomfortable around strangers and it seemed like he would be like that for the rest of his life... Or that's at least what he thought.

It took a bit more of breath-caching before the filly looked towards the other, tilting her head slightly. Okay.. so, what did she do now? Um.. "Hi! " She said, swishing her tail then sitting down-- an unusual thing for a horse to do, but a habit she'd got from her parents. "I'm Mem! And you're-- " She blinked, glancing at his forehead for a while.
".. Pointy. " Why did he have a spike growing out of his head? That must be awkward, when you looked up and saw the pointy! Shaking her had, she tried to remember to be polite. "Whats your name? " At least she wasn't as weird as mom.

"U-uh. H-hello." Everhart could feel himself stumbling once more. Would he ever get rid of that habit? "My name is Everhart. It's n-nice to meet you." Even though he was shy, he learned his manners from his father and grandfather. There was no way they were going to have a son that was rude and lacked poise. He wondered why she said he was pointy but then he looked up trying to see the horn that he inherited from his parents. Everhart didn't say anything else because he didn't have any idea what he could say next.

"Everhart! " She smiled, and for a moment looked to the side to get a view on his tail. That.. tail was pretty funny looking, wasn't it? "I like your name! " Mem nodded. Sometimes she didn't like her name, it was so short! His was nice and long.. er.
Though.. now she had no idea what to do of this guy. Um.. Well, he was about her age, right? "Wanna play a game? "

Everhart managed to smile weakly, "Thank y-you." He would have complimented her name but he couldn't bring himself to say anything else. "Uh. Sure. What do you want to play?" He tilted his head curiously. He didn't know of any games so he hoped that she had one in mind that she wanted to play. He did play games with his siblings but it would be a big step for him to play a game with a stranger. Then again, everything seemed to be a big step for Everhart.

She smiled, standing up again, twitching her tail a bit. "Weeeell.. We could play tag! " she nodded, and looked around. "Or hide and seek! " Though, hide and seek was ind of silly for larger things like soquili, while it could be easy for something smaller.
"And there's racing! I race with Bly sometimes. " She nodded. "Uh, he's my brother. " Yes, try not to confuse people, remember that!

Oh. He was glad that he was hearing familiar names because he would feel so awkward if he didn't know how to play a game she wanted to play. "Y-you can pick." He attempted to smile again. "Bly? Oh. I've met Bly before. You're siblings? That's interesting." That was probably the most Mem would ever hear him say. But he was surprised that she was Bly's sister but then again he shouldn't have been surprised. They had similiar vivacious personalities and the same stripes. He should have realized that they might have been related.

"I say tag! " She nodded, not sue if she wanted to race him. She was fast, but he didn't exactly look slow, either. He did seem very shy, though.. Not that she'd but him for that! If he felt like being shy, that was okay! "I'll be it! So you run now. " She nodded, waiting for Everhart to at least start running, it was pretty unfair to tag him right now!
"I'l give you a head start. " now, if only she could remember how to count..

Everhart nodded and sighed to himself. Thank goodness, a game that he could play. "Alright." The little colt began to run through the trees. He was considerably fast because he played around with his little sister a lot and that required... a lot of running and stamina. He liked the wind in his short mane and tail and it felt really nice because he felt free and independent. Maybe someday he would learn that just because he was different then his family didn't mean that he wasn't special and unique.

Okay, waait just a bit longer..
Mem shot off after the colt, dodging the trees and simply leaping over any bush in her way. She was swift, and though she played with Bly often, she didn't always go well. They were pretty evenly matched on tag. Everhart was fast, though, but Mem was managing to catch up. It would just be.. annoying to make her way over with all these trees!

((Sorry for my delay too. Holidays. @_@))
Watching the trees pass by him, Everhart almost forgot that he was playing tag. He should really run around here more often though... it's much prettier when everything is a white blur. He began to run a little faster as he saw Mem behind him starting to catch up. If he were his siblings, he would probably call out some teasing string of words but he was a tad more taciturn. But Everhart began to slow down as his energy was giving out.

Heey, not too baad. Now she was catching up, and he was slowing down! Unlike her mother, who tired fast(compared to others, cause of course she still went on longer than Mem!) Mem took a while to get tired, so long as she didn't go full speed for too long. So she saved the fastest for last, and now was last, right? With Ever tiring, the filly sped up, soon enough able to poke his side with her nose-- then stop, and turn around, then run! The longer it took Everhart to do the same-- well, the better for her! "Tag! "
She didn't exactly go the same path, though, and began to move a bit towards the right, kicking up snow as she went, and lifting her hooves high so to not get slowed down. And then, there was a bush. She liked jumping over bushes, and so she did!
Only who could expect that right after said bush, the snow was a lot deeper? "AH! " She wheezed, sinking into the snow and folding her ears back. How fun, now she was stuck! "Not again! "

Everhart smiled weakly as he felt her nose touch his side. Thank goodness she was a lot faster then him because he felt awkward just running by himself wondering if she was still even following him. The little colt turned and started chasing after the filly but then all of a sudden she disappeared behind a bush. Raising a brow, Everhart slowed to a stop and peered around the bush wondering where she had gone. Blinking rapidly, he saw her sunk in the snow and he wondered how he could get her out. "Uh oh. Do you need help?" That was a silly question but he didn't want to help her if she didn't want him to.
