The creme pelt moved over the solid muscles of the stallion, new to this land. He had traveled far, only being here a few good months. He had watched the season change from falling golden and crimson leaves, to the falling white powder that was cold and icy.
He didn't like the cold. He hadn't been expecting that at all.. But he had not had much experience in life really. He had one friend on these travels, but Birdy hardly spoke a lick of English. She thought herself to be a bird.. an actual chirping, flittering, bird.
But he liked her. She amused him greatly.
But the stallion's teal mint gaze, carried him high as he walked proud with each step. He was a gloriously arrogant stallion, only really talking to those he found interest in. He really didnt like others much at all.. Unless they could do something for him.
He shook his head, short blonde locks fluttering about his ears. Flicking his ears, he tried to remove the strands that caused him discomfort as he now walked. The trees kept most of the bitter wind away.. But the icy chill still froze his bones as he breathed out a cloud of air.
"Bloody 'ell.. This place gets worse every day.. Its a miracle to have life in such an area."
His lion like tail, flicked behind him, catching his long ebony duster slightly. It too, kept him away from the wind, but even it, couldnt work miracles.

 Arcadia did not usually stray far from the teepee of the two-legger that helped to raise her. As such, the mare did not know many other soquili, save for the two that helped to raise her as well. Neither of them were her real parents, although she grew up loved, so that fact didn't bother her too much -- still, sometimes she thought it might be nice to meet her real parents some day.
She was, however, growing more and more curious, and each day she explored more of the lands around her. It was certainly cold today, but the unicorn saw that as no reason to stay at the teepee. It was cold there too, after all. Arcadia could see her breath in front of her muzzle with each exhale, and the chilly air made her shiver, but still -- the season lifted her spirits.
When she noticed the pale, cloaked stallion nearby, Arcadia was instantly drawn to greet him -- he was another unicorn, just like her! Eager to make new friends, she pranced over to him without hesitation, her strange red eyes betraying her friendly disposition. "Hello!" The mare smiled brightly at him. "I haven't seen you around before. I mean -- not that I've explored around very much -- er, but it's just that, well, I haven't met any other unicorns yet. I mean, other than Tonks, anyway." Realizing she was talking too much, she ducked her head slightly with embarrassment. "I mean -- hi. My name's Arcadia." Her kept her voice a little quieter, this time.

Spike continued to glare at the white falling from teh sky, as a young dark mare appeared in front of him. Oh she was the vision of lovely, and she was a good breed as well.. A unicorn. He had always loved speaking with unicorns.. They tended to be better to be around than others.
Unicorns were pure right? Hardly.
Spike was definately the one who gave unicorns bad names, seeing that he was the devious little one that mothers told their children to stay away from.
"Why hello there, pet."
He said, eyes taking her in completely. She was indeed beautiful. An exotic look, that seemed to betray her purity as well. She seemed kind, so maybe looks were decieving. But the dark look of her, made his heart beat madly.
"The names Spike. Its nice to meet you Arcadia."
He said, giving a little lopsided smile.

"It's nice to meet you too, Spike!" What an interesting name -- and an interesting unicorn! She almost giggled at the nickname 'pet' he had called her, but figuring she had come off a little too strongly in her greeting already, held it back. Just as he was appraising her looks, she was examining him as well -- it was hard not to notice the small fangs peeking out from his mouth, which was certainly not something she had seen before on any soquili.
Wanting to know more, about him, she asked, "so, Spike... where do you come from? Is your home around here?" With that, the mare glanced around the area as if somehow his home would be in view, which was a silly thing to assume. Arcadia realized this and immediately stopped, once again ducking her head slightly, a few strands of her fiery-tipped mane in front of her face. Maybe he didn't notice. Oh, she hoped he didn't notice -- Arcadia mentally scolded herself for being so strange.

The male had had his fair share of Unicorn mares, none of which really catching his fancy as much as Arcadia had just done. He smiled a bit, watching her speak and watching her move. She was indeed a lovely specimen.. And he hoped to get to know her better.
He gave a little huff of amusement as he saw her look around. Was she looking for his home? Spike had no home. Or not really anyway. He had been laying his head in a grassy knoll at night.. But the knoll had turned into an icy rock that no longer suited his head.. nor any other part of him for that matter. Blue Ocean eyes gazed at the mare, noticing her eyes were completely red. She had no iris and pupil.. She just had red orbs.. Much like his teepee-mate's Naina's new beau.
She was exotic, and reminded him of something deadly, even if she seemed to be the sweetest little thing.. Which she did seem.
Normally sweet wasn't something Spike liked too much.. But her innocence behind such a dark face, was something Spike liked very much.
"It's a pleasure to meet you as well, pet."
He said, his lopsided smile returning to his maw.
"No, I don't live around here.. Im new really. Haven't had much time to really establish any home."
He said, regretting not trying to find a suitable shelter sooner.
The snow definately made real estate hard to find.
"What of you, luv? Are you from around here?"
He asked, lion-like tail swishing behind him, much like a lion would truly hold their tails. His fangs peeked out from his lips, and he forgot to try to hide them.. But as he remembered.. He felt sure Arcadia didn't mind them too much.

Arcadia's eyes were once more drawn to the sharp fangs, feelings of unease mixed with curiosity flowing through her. She knew that staring was rude, but she couldn't help herself. True to Spike's thoughts, the mare was not disturbed by the sight -- in fact, she stepped closer to the stallion, intrigued. "Well, sort of. I mean, I'm not really sure where I'm really from, but I grew up here and I stay with another unicorn mare, near a two-legger's teepee." As she thought on it, it dawned on her that Spike said he didn't have a home near here.
Tilting her head a little to the side, she flicked her ears to dust the snow off that had landed on them. She was suddenly concerned, and it showed clear on her face, wearing her emotions openly. Arcadia had only just met the stallion, but that didn't mean she couldn't worry about him. "But then where do you sleep? You must have some place to stay warm?"

"Warm?Ha.Like I could find anywhere to keep warm in this god forsaken place. I honestly don't understand some of the lot I've run into.It's all very weird."
He said, knowing he gave her a bit more information than she had asked for. But he had been needing to tell someone of the turmoils in his head. Birdy was great for nuzzling, but she enjoyed her home, and he would never say anything of its petty nature to her. It would upset her greatly.
He looked back to Arcadia, knowing now that he was being incredibly rude.
"Im sorry, Arcadia.I do apologize for being such an a**."
He said, looking back at her.

While she didn't exactly hate her home, the mare wasn't quite attached to it, either -- she wasn't offended by Spike's words, if not just surprised. It was only land; a place to live, to explore. "It's okay," she assured him, smiling. "I don't think it's horrible here, but it's hardly exciting." Arcadia felt quite indifferent about the whole thing, and if Spike didn't like this place, who was she to judge?
"Are you a wanderer, then?" Her red eyes widened then, curiosity overtaking her once more. "Where are you from? What is your homeland like?" It didn't occur to her that Spike might have left because he hated where he had come from, or maybe he wouldn't want to talk about it altogether -- in her eagerness to hear of other lands, she forgot herself. Arcadia longed to have adventures of her own, exploring new lands, and hearing about others always excited her.

Spike's blue eyes cast back up to the sky,as he looked at her sideways. His cloven hooves were crushing the bits of snow he was now standing in. His eyes were mischevious and wild, and always held a sense of danger, or malice in them.
Lately though, the arrogant stallion found very little to be arrogant about. No one knew him..No one really was around to flaunt to. He had been around others like him where he'd come from.. But not now.. Now he had only met Arcadia,and she was one of the few people he didn't want to brag to.
She seemed like she could be a good friend.
His eyes looked back at her,straight into the red orbs she had. They were wide, as she asked him the questions she longed to know.
"I come from farther away then I remember. Where I hail from, only Unicorns walk the area anyway.. So far, you're the only other Ive met."
His tail flicked slightly.
"I left to seek out a friend. Someone I've yet to find."
He said, looking back at the ground.

It was partly the dangerous air about this stallion that fascinated Arcadia. He intrigued her so, and that darkness about her -- the mysterious, eerie savageness, hidden and locked away deep inside the mare, unaware of it's origins -- found itself drawn to Spike. Her ears were painted forward as she listened intently to Spike speak of his lands.
"There were only other unicorns where you came from? That sounds beautiful." She tried to imagine the sight in her mind, wishing to see it for herself. To her, all she could see was beauty, for all the unicorns she have seen were beautiful. It was nice to see other breeds -- soquili with beautiful wings, or ones with no wings or horns at all, running and embracing the earth's gifts. But she was drawn to her own kind, other unicorns like herself.
"Who do you seek?" Arcadia tilted her head slightly, wanting to help -- and secretly because she also wanted to meet friends of Spike. Was his friend a unicorn, too? "I don't really know many, but I can show you where some of the two-leggers live if you have not seen them, and there are many others that have made homes in that area. Maybe your friend is there, too."

He could see himself being friends with this mare, she as was indeed someone he liked talking to.
He gave a silent laugh, his eyes dancing aorund.
Angelus? His friend? Had he really said that? Because Angelus was most definately not a friend, but someone Spike needed to seek.
"It was beautiful.. The unicorn was respected there.. I have never seen so many breeds of Horse either.. The unicorn is all Im accustomed to."
He flicked his lion like tail, glancing at her from the side of his eyes.
"Angelus. Im searching for someone I used to know, by the name of Angelus.. The sod owes me some things, he does."
He said, raising an eyebrow.

Arcadia wished to see this place. She nearly wanted to ask Spike if he could ever take her there, but felt it would be too presumptuous of her, as they had only just met. Perhaps one day, she would have the courage to ask, if they could be friends. She hoped they would.
"Angelus," the mare repeated the name -- admiring it -- and of course, she had never met the stallion in question. She didn't know what the word sod meant, but by the way Spike said it, she felt she could assume it wasn't anything good. "If I were to meet him before you, should I tell him that you are looking for him?" She wouldn't have asked, normally, but maybe Spike didn't want this Angelus to know he was being looked for.

Spike looked back at the mare, with ocean blue eyes as he listened to her words. He saw the dreamy look in her red eyes as she thought of the Unicorn lands. He had enjoyed it, just as much as she seemed to enjoy the thought. But Angelus had drug him out of the paradise, and deserted him. He'd find the wanker, if it was the last thing he did.
"If you do happen to run into Angelus, I'll tell you now, love.. His senseless prattle is enough to drive anyone completely bonkers. Proceed with caution."
He said, grinning a bit.

The dark mare smiled, chuckling a little at his comment, gazing up with her red eyes into his clear blue ones. "Well, then if I happen to run into a stallion with that name, I'll be sure to avoid him," Arcadia grinned with an amused tone in her voice, swishing her thin tail behind her.
She glanced up at the sky -- she knew it was getting late, and Tonks would begin to worry if she stayed out after dark. Looking back at Spike again, she felt she didn't want to go back. She was an adult now, after all. Didn't that mean she had more freedom? Arcadia had respect for Tonks, because even though she was not her real mother, the unicorn had raised her like one of her own -- but Arcadia was growing tired of her over-protectiveness.
"May I -- ask you something?"

He nodded when she said she'd avoid him. Be her best bet anyway. He saw Angelus as an enemie.. But they were friends too.. weren't they?
Course not..
"Ask away."
He said, flicking his lion-like tail. He was positive that Birdy would be friendly with Arcadia. She wouldn't see her as competition. Birdy would love to meet another soquili anyway.
"Can't say I'll have answers, pet. But ask away."
