Mignon was one of those people who are overly proud of themselves. She knew well that she was pretty, but she had just proved that there was a brain to go along with all of those looks. In each ear was a golden stud, something she had lusted after for quite some time and finally managed to talk Jeane into.
She flopped down onto the ground near the entrance to the mansion and sighed happily. Life was good.

"Hm..."
Nope, nothing.
Even holding one of her own feathers didn't make her recall anything. Staring at it didn't help too much either. Heck, she wouldn't have even known to come to this place if that weird lady with the bright hair wouldn't have literally pushed her out the door with...the bird thing.
Akilah (apparently her name she'd been told) wasn't really sure what the thing was. It was...a bird, of some kind. It followed her around...like, a lot, and that bright-haired lady had said his name was 'Gizmo' or something.
Poor, poor Gizmo. He was completely lost with Kilah this way. Every few seconds he'd whine, and loudly. What was wrong?
"I wish you'd quit whining...uh...whatever your name is."

"Hey!" Mignon cried happily, hopping up and smoothing out her skirt. She skipped over to the pair, grinning.
"Hiya, Kilah! Hiya, Gizmo!" She reached over to give Gizmo a pat on the beak. "How're you guys doing today? I've been good latley. Mom's stopped being so wanky all the time."

Normally, the attention would've been greeted by a tail wag (which hopefully wouldn't catch anything on fire), and that sad excuse of a bark from Gizmo. Not that one could blame him for sounding so poorly. He was a griffon, not a dog, and they weren't meant for barking.
Not that it mattered just then, as all he did was whine.
From the greeting Akilah (she'd been told it was her name) could guess two things. One being this girl was obviously outgoing, and two being they were obviously friends. Perhaps good ones, it seemed that way.
Shifting uncomfortable, the chicken Sin'aeis made a face before smiling in greeting...or trying to. "You...Your hair is very pretty?" She offered uncertainly.

"Thank you." She said, almost automatically. "I think it's getting curlier, you know. But it's nice, because it's so bouncy and fun to play with."
Of course, something clicked in her mind. Kilah said her hair was pretty. Not only was Kilah paying her a compliment, but it wasn't about her being evil or anything. It was on something that could be seen. Kilah.
"You can see me, Kilah?" She said, almost breathlessly. Maybe that's why Gizmo was so worried.

"Kilah?" So that was her nickname? How odd. She'd assumed since her name was apparently 'Akilah' they'd just shorten it to 'Aki'. Maybe there was a reason? For the countless time, she was asked that same question. Everyone she'd run into had so far. It was weird. "Of course I can, uh..." Now, what was this girls name...?

"Yes. Kilah. You." She said, bouncing happily. "Big tough Kilah, my bestest friend!" Mignon was seconds away from glomping her friend, if she thought she could get away from it. She'd seen those daggers, and they probably wouldn't feel very nice going into her skin.
"How? What did you do? Have you seen yourself? Aren't you pretty?" She bubbled, grinning all the time.

Bestest friend? Ah, so she'd been correct then. It was understandable, this other seemed nice enough. If only she could remember her name, it would make things so much easier. "Uh, listen..." It was a struggle not to sound rude, but it was hard.

[[She's had a tough time recently. Her Dad died a few weeks back, and now she has to live with her mom and switch school districts her seinor year in hich school. -_- My poor Skye-Bug]]
"Oh, dear. You broke yourself, huh?" Mignon said, sympathetically. "Well, you just ask me anything! I'll tell you!"
"First off, I am Mignon. Or Miggy, or Mig. And that is Gizmo. He's your feathery dog person. He is very nice and likes to be petted. Don'tcha, Gizmo?" She reached over to pat his beak in demonstration.

Broke yourself...?
What was that suppose to mean?
As she pondered the thought, Kilah decided this girl had to be crazy. It was hard to place why they'd be friends, they didn't seem much alike. Maybe they had been before she forgot everything?
"Oh, alright. Well, uh, Mignon, I'm glad to know that." Nothing more was said, and no more questions were asked. Taking advice from a crazy person wasn't something she planned on doing, thankyouverymuch.

Pat, pat, pat. She kept rubbing Gizmo, frowning slightly. Poor Kilah. It must be so weird not to remember anything.

"Yama...?" Who in the world was that? It didn't register Mignon was speaking of that hyper lady with really bright hair. At the moment, that was all Kilah knew her by. Despite her obvious memory loss, Noyama had informed her of things...er, tried to, (Kilah couldn't understand her speaking so quickly), then promptly shoved the Sin'aeis out the door with the 'Gizmo' thing and told him to bring her here.
Never once did she provide her own name.

"Yama. I think her whole name is Noyama, or something like that. I usually call her Yama, 'cause it's shorter. She's the fox lady that takes care of you. She's nice, but talks really funny. She used to talk to my Mom a lot, when we were little. I don't think they meet much anymore. My Mom's fat now, and she doesn't like to move a lot."
She tapped her ears and smiled happily. "That's how I got my ears peirced. She wouldn't get up to stop me. She didn't take them out when we got back home, so here I am, with pretty ear rings in my ears."

"I see." THAT lady took care of her? It didn't seem like she could take care of herself. Poor thing seemed like more than a bit of an airhead. Perhaps this girl was too, and didn't know what she was talking about. For now, there was no way to be sure.
"They're very nice," she commented in a much-too-kind-for-Kilah tone. "I was told I'd had my nose pierced, but apparently the ring fell out."

"Yama''s really nice. I like her a lot. You gotta watch out for Noharu, though. She''s bad. Lyrus had to stab her in the foot once. It was kinda funny, looking back at it." She tilted her head to one side, slightly.
Hmm. This Kilah was different than the Kilah that Mignon was used to. It was like, Diet Kilah, or maybe Caffine Free Diet Kilah. Odd, but it looked the same.
