"Hmm. I guess this place looks familiar..." Nothing wrong with lying to yourself, right? Kilah eyed the mansion for a second before sighing heavily and scratching her head cluelessly. This place didn't look a bit familiar.
Come to think of it, nothing did. It was the weirdest thing. Even if someone forgot everything, you think they'd recognize something. "Well, maybe I'll recognize a someone, then..."
That thought in mind, the child carefully made her way to the mansions door. Hesitantly she pushed it open, peering inside curiously. "Hello? Anyone here?"

"GRR!" came a little voice from inside, followed by a loud clank. The little blue haired boy was sitting in the middle of the front hall, surrounded by miniature metal instruments. In front of him was a tiny motor car, though it was hardly recognizable - it was completely in pieces. Lex had just thrown a wrench against the wall, his lip curled back in disgust. His blue shirt was covered in dirt and unidentifiable black liquid from the car. He had apparently been tackling a particularly difficult part. He glared down at the car and mumbled incomprehensibly at it.
Lex's blue eyes flew towards the light and he squinted as it shafted into the dark hall. His pale skin was paler than usual. He didn't seem to mind though. He peered at her and quirked a brown. "Keelah...?" he said, grabbing his tiny wrench back.

It took the poor girl a minute, but when she realized he was adressing her she quickly nodded her head. "Oh! You mean me? That's right. I'm Akilah." Was she talking to a baby? How silly! This one sure seemed violent, too. He knew her name, though, so they had to know each other somehow.
"I...guess you know me then." Now, a better question: friends or enemies? It seemed ridiculous she'd have enemies. She couldn't feel an ounce of hate for anyone! Maybe she just hadn't run into the right people since her memory went away...
Her eyes flickered to the gem on his forehead. It was...pretty. She really didn't know why, but any jewel or gem she'd seen had immediately attracted her interest. Maybe she collected them?
Smiling brightly, something that actually looked somewhat disturbing on her, she moved to the baby and kneeled down beside him. "That gem on your forehead is very pretty."

Lex stared over at Akilah, his eyes flicking up and down her. What was with her? Kilah had always been the one who hated flowers and was evil and awesome...but now she was being nice? And she was looking at his gem like it was...pretty? He couldn''t understand the words she was saying, but her obvious interest in him gave it away. Something was not right with it. He looked back down at the motorcar and shrugged it off. As long as she didn''t touch the gem, or him, in fact, it didn''t matter that much to him. He focused back on the car, tightening a small bolt with the wrench, grunting with the effort. When it was secure, he looked back up at her.
"Lex," he said, gesturing the wrench towards himself. He pointed it up to the gem and tapped it twice. "No," he said. He didn''t like people touching it...or staring at it too much for that matter. Yes, it was bright. Yes, it was fun to look at. But it was like his finger or something...you don''t touch it and observe it. He pointed the wrench at her. "What...differ?" he said, trying to ask what was different, or really what was wrong with Kilah. She was so...strange.

There was silence, and then the most horrible sound one would ever hear. Probably only one would literally hear it. Up until then it was unheard of, even now it was a rarity.
Kilah giggling.
"You're very cute!" Aw, he was adorable. Seems he didn't like anyone staring at that gem of his. Lex? Of the few names mentioned to her, she couldn't recall that being one, but he still seemed to know her. "Lex, alright. I'm Akilah, but I guess you know that. Uh...I guess people call me Aki for short?"
Shrugging, she sighed lightly and lifted a hand to fiddle with her hat. That was another thing very, very wrong. She was still wearing the hat, but she was wearing it the right way. "Yes, I'm afraid something is different. See, I can't remember anything..." No harm, no foul. He was only a baby, he probably couldn't even understand.

Lex winced at the sound, shrinking away from her until it stopped. He stared at her blankly. What was wrong with her. She was all...happy? What was wrong with her? And what did she mean by "remember"? What the blazes did that mean? Lex shook his head. Something was seriously wrong with Akilah. He looked up at "Aki." His brow raised as high as it possibly could as he stared at her in disbelief. She was "Kilah," not "Aki." Okay, that was it, she was messed up. Maybe someone had hit her in the head and she'd gone funny. And did she call him cute?!?!?!?!!! She could be useful though, he thought, surveying the parts spread out in front of him. He handed the wrench to her
"Hold," he asked, though it wasn't a very questioning tone. Lex wasn't used to please and thank you. With the other hand he grabbed two batteries and put them in their slots, picking up two more screws and fixing them into place, grabbing a different wrench. He looked over at Kilah. "Hat?" he said, pointing to it.

Batteries?!
She hadn't realized it until now, but this baby was not...playing with baby stuff! Didn't they use rattles and things like that? Wrenches certainly weren't safe! And weren't batteries posionous somehow? "You really shouldn't play with these things!"
Without hesitation, she pulled her hat off and didn't seem at all irratated by the hair that fell in her face. Usually, it would've been immediatly brushed back at the very least, even when she couldn't see. Handing said hat to the baby, she set the wrench down and sighed. "You could hurt yourself playing with these things! You must have bad examples or something. Maybe those Lyrus and Jack people..."
Her sister had spoken of them. They sounded bad.

Lex snorted, taking the hat and looking at it. Kilah would never give up her hat! Not even if he asked her extraodinarily nicely...which he wouldn't do, but just the thought of it! He shrugged and gathered a couple of his tools, putting it in the hat so that he could keep them in one place. He picked the wrench back up from where he had set it down, screwing in the a few bolts. He grinned and took a green plastic piece, putting it on top. He grabbed some black electrical tape and a few screws, putting them in place and tightening them, then attaching the green parts with thin strips of electrical tape. He set it down, now an obvious motorcar. He grabbed a small black box torn open, several screws lying around it. He scooted it towards him, taking two more batteries and putting them in, replacing a plastic cover and screwing it in. He tightened a couple other screws and grinned.
"Done!" he said, and picked up the black box, which now revealed itself to be the remote control. He dumped the tools out of Kilah's hat into his lap, dropping the wrench in his lap. He gave the hat back to her, looking at her funny. He growled. "Lyrus..." he repeated, and made his hands into a fist, smashing it down on the wood floor. "No," he said, picking up the remote control and testing the motorcar. It worked! He cackled with delight.

"Wow..." There was no other word for it. What a smart baby! It was amazing! "You're smart, too, huh? Bet you're gonna be a heartbreaker when you're older." It wasn't like Kilah to make jokes, much less laugh at them when she did. Normal Kilah would've told him he'd probably end up a pimp and be damn proud of it.
Retrieving her hat, she returned it to her head (albiet still facing the proper direction), watching him in amusement. Aw, he was so cute! She wouldn't say it out loud again however, it seemed to upset him. So did the mention of Lyrus.
Lyrus...
It was one of only two names she'd felt something with. Some faint memory, very faint. Something about him, and the other girl, Mignon was it? Just something...
Maybe they were enemies? Lyrus did sound awful mean.
"So...you don't like Lyrus?"

Lex shook his head vigorously at the mention of the name. He didn't even like Lyrus. He despised Lyrus. He may have respected him for his expert crayon throwing and his like of loud noises. Lyrus was also evil, which Lex admired in spite of himself. "No," he repeated, making the motorcar do little circles. He was quite proud of his fixing the motorcar. Pretty soon he'd be bored of it, though, and he would go to work on something else. The crazy blue-haired lady wouldn't let him near the broken toaster yet, but he'd fix it...the thing drove him nuts.
"You likes Lyrus," Lex said, accidentally ramming the little car into the wall, he backed it up and turned it around, speeding it towards Kilah and stopping, then circling. He grinned, quite amused with the little car. It seemed to be working perfectly, too...if not, better?

"I see..." The world was a very, very odd place. Something she'd discovered in the past few hours...the only ones she could remember. That weird, loud lady had practically shoved her out of the house and demanded she go see her 'friends', who's name Kilah could barely catch she was speaking so quickly.
Then she arrived here only to be informed by a baby? Odd, very odd. It didn't make sense, either. This 'Lex' didn't like Lyrus, but she did? He seemed to like, so did that mean she saw them both as friends? It didn't seem possible to have to friends who didn't like each other. Hm... "So...why don't you like him?" Again, it felt awkward speaking like this to a baby, but company was company...

Lex growled putting down the control. "Lyrus..." he repeated, with another grunt. He made a little imitation of Lyrus' voice ((which didn't come out in words, but mumbo-jumbo in a high-pitched voice)) and then touched the crystal on his head. Then he picked up one of the screwdrivers and threw it at himself, then folded his arms, and with another weird imitation, went back to playing with his motorcar. He hated that Lyrus.
Oh, how he hated him. But he was good at crayon throwing...
...
...Still hated him. ((Short, 'cause I hafta go xd ))

"Oh..."
So...Lyrus had thrown things at him? That was basically all she could get from the motions offered to her. One thing she was positive about, and that was, if Lyrus HAD thrown something at Lex, he was no friend of hers!
Why would she be friends with someone who threw things at a baby?! How horrible! Unless he was a baby too, but she'd heard that wasn't the case. Did SHE throw things at babies?
If she was friends with ones who did, the answer was most likely 'yes'. If she was right, she didn't need her memory back anyway. What a horrible girl she must be! "Uh, there's someone here with you, right?"

As if to answer her question, Tifa ((Click click)) came traipsing into the front hall. "LEEEEEEX!" she shouted, before she looked down and saw them on the floor. She blinked as Lex glared up at her. "Oh, sorry. I didn't know we had company," the Jivviness said, looking Akilah up and down several times. Well, she looked friendly. "I was just wondering where you were...Oh, for heaven's sake, not the motorcar again! Lex, I'm telling you, it's unfixa-"
As if he understood her, Lex made the car do a circle and ran it into her foot. Tifa frowned.
"Okay, you fixed it," she muttered, looking worriedly down at the tools next to him. "I'm gonna go to the store and get food," she said, more to Kilah then to Lex. "Be back soon," she said, and grabbed her v-neck green fleece, almost jogging out the door. No one was in that big of a rush to go to the store. Lex shook his head and kept playing.
"Tifa," he said, nodding towards the door.
