With a partial mane, it signified the male of his approaching adulthood. His fur was itching and that only meant that the rest of his mane was coming in. His crimson eyes were as soulful and bright as ever. Strong build made him seem desirable, and that was what he aimed for. A good, luxurious mane to fluff for the females, alluring eyes to pull their gaze, and a body to strut for their attention. What could he say? He was taught by one of the best. And since he started out this new life style, he had met quite the array of females.
Hidaya, the singing cheeton, the love child of a lion and a cheetah. Her wonderful pink cotton candy fur was absolutely soft as the clouds could be. Her voice was absolutely alluring that it could lull anyone to sleep with only dreams. The recent mother, again, Kimya was a good female, a caring mother who sought the best for herself and her daughter. He could only have hoped that he could have been more help for her. Salem was a unique one, the dark lioness who was once tamed by the beasts who carried themselves upon two legs alone, speaking in a weird tongue. Now she was free to be the lion she was meant to be, Zeki saw her most often. If he told anyone this, none would believe him. The Goddess of Rage, the Goddess of Souls, and the Goddess of Earth's Tomb. Those three were wonderful females, all seeking something. Then there was the Goddess of Lightning, Nix. He would even admit it to the Goddess herself if he wasn't afraid of her no longer seeing him. Her presence made him tingle, quite literally. He liked her, a few steps from love really... but he had feelings.
As he thought of the females of his past, their giggle, their smiling faces, it reminded him of those from his past; Sen, the Goddess of the Lost, his mother Trina, and Mis-... Safuma. Actually, he was on his way to see Safuma again, however, he thought he would drop by the family den to see if his father, Ger, was back or his mother was around.
With golden paws, he carried himself proudly down the path through the Pride Lands toward home.

Feeling slightly nostalgic and tired in the heat of the day, Mia was taking a long walk in the Pridelands. She had spent most of her time and her childhood with her father, and had no intention of leaving her home. Independance was overrated, her family kept her safe and content.
She did seek time to walk alone however, sometimes her thoughts and words were best kept to herself, especially her numbers. Mia's obsession with counting had begun at a young age, and it helped to calm her and allow her to think clearly. She related numbers to places, her siblings, and even sometimes different emotions. She counted paces, rhythms and objects.
She was a slender chocolate adult, with a honey and cream mask. Gentle maroon eyes peering out from the mask, surveyed the land around her. The pridelands was a full plentiful land, a thriving Pride, she was always greeted by others as she walked past, and thus was building her social skills. She felt comfortable in the large and homely Pride. After all, It was home.
Her honey and cream splattered paws had nearly reached the outskirts of the Pridelands, and she was about to turn and head back to the den, when she spotted a figure in the distance. The figure was typical of the Pridelands, golden in shade, with hints of brown and red. By the sprouting mane she assumed this lion was male. Squinting, she couldn't really make out any markings, but as the lion drew closer she walked towards him. Talking would be good, it wouldn't hurt, although, she was a little nervous.

Zeki paused when he felt a strange sensation, as if he was being watched. He sniffed the air to realize it was a female lioness. Well, well, a female, though it was not out of the normal, it was always a good feeling to be in the presence of a female. He turned around smoothly and smiled at her.
She was a dazzling female, beautiful features and traits. Her fur was a wonderful brown color, her face was like a mast of colors like his underbelly. This one seemed to be an adult as she was a bit taller than him, at least for now before his next growth spurt, but she was quite the beautiful girl. The scent that clung to her fur was obviously a Pride Lander's and thus, she must have been part of his pride too. With a smile, she reminded him of his mother...
"Good day, Miss," he greeted, he gave a slight dip of his head. "What is a charming female like you wandering our peaceful home today?"
Zeki was quite the talker. He was very polite to the females, his manners were one of the finest. However, they were often times borderline flirting. However, he could careless, when in the presence of a female, she got what she deserved. Everything he did around a female was out of love and care, that was what they deserved after all, especially the attention from another.

As he approached, she cocked her head and took a moment to appreciate his golden coat, the lush reddish beginnings of his mane, and his lean body. This was not so much in female desire as simply out of curiousity. His polite behaivour also took her by suprise, and she dipped her head gently too. Charming? He couldn't mean her? She wasn't quite socially developed enough to recognise flirting, especially when so subtle, so she beamed at him with a childlike innocence.
A pridelander. She'd recognised his scent and his fur. "I was just thinking" She replied honestly. "Just counting and thinking, and admiring this beautiful home." Her maroon eyes shifted to take in every tiny piece of scenery around her, she truly loved her home.
"Who are you?" She peered back at the male curiously.

"My name's Ezekiel, loyal and humble members of the Pride Lands, son of Ger and Trinaceria," he gave a slight bow as it a courtesy if he were human. Raising to full sitting height he smiled. "Could I inquire your name, Miss?"
Zeki took his eyes off her to look around him as well. The Pride Lands was the most peaceful place he has been, the usual cries for help when a lion got his, or her, kill was natural now that it just seemed to add into the serene feeling. Well, the beach was nice too, but the Pride Lands were better by a mile.
"Counting? What is it that you are counting?" he questioned. "Forgive me for asking, you mustn't feel obligated to answer, just a young lion's curious mind asking nothing but curious questions." he chuckled softly, smiling at her ever more.

Ezekiel, well she'd never heard that name before, that was for sure. There was something about the name Trinaceria that stirred within her memory, but she dismissed it for the time being, as the answer didn't come to her immeadiately. Following his introductory fashion, she bowed gracefully and said "Mia, Daughter of Mahiri and Bakhti" Her pride of her mother and father was evident and she smiled widely.
"Counting, I count everything. Everything has a pulse, a number, a sum. It's calming. Numbers help relate objects to one another." She said simply, aware that she probably sounded like a complete idiot, she began to murmur. "It's just one of those silly habits you get into, I suppose.."

"Ah, at least there is a reason. It helps you memorize objects and things by the number placed upon them, correct? Or the number that you use to correlate such object to one thing to another thus memorizing it without too much thought involved. And it isn't a silly habit, it is what makes you you, otherwise, everyone would be counting," he spoke rather sagely and laughed. There he went again on one of his intelligent rambles on subjects, Trig did well to teach him to be wise and keep his head on straight.
"Mia? Short and sweet like my father's, I must say it's quite the charming name," Mahiri... Bakhti... where has he heard those names before? It was mind itching that he wanted to know a bit more, but should he ask or would it be rude to? ... Perhaps later.
"The only silly habits I have, if you would call it that, is touching this cowlick of mine," he chuckled as his golden paw touched the top of his head where a few pieces of mane stuck up and curved a bit back. "My father has it to, but he keeps telling me that trying to get it down will never work for long and touching it would do no good. However, I find it amusing."

He understood her! Well this was fantastic. Not only that, but he seemed smart too. "Yes completely." She agreed. "It makes it very easy to memorise things." He suddenly reminded her of her father, with his sudden intelligent ramble.
"Thankyou.." She smiled sweetly at the second complement, she definately wasn't used to being treated like this. The name Trin was still bugging her, she was sure she'd heard it before... Only in passing, though, perhaps in a story. Ah well.
She giggled at Ezekiel for a moment and looked towards his tufty mane. Overcome with the sudden urge to paw at the tuft she stopped herself just in time. "It's quite funny, yes."

How could he not understand, just by her talking, he could write a memoir about it. He chuckled with a suave smile. "There are many methods to memorize things, I'm afraid, cannot. I have a horrible time memorizing things unless they were of the utmost importance to either myself or another. Perhaps I shall start counting to see if it helps me in the end, wouldn't that be interesting?" Uncle Trig, his father's oldest half-brother, was the one who had taught him how to be like this. He was taught manners, how to be polite, how to behave around others, some lessons on self-defense and defending others, and most of all, how to talk so... sof... sophisticatedly! And yet, he still had his charms.
"You are very welcomed," he replied with a charming smile, he had quite a wide sort. Charming, sweet, innocent, suave, and that oh so mischievous one. As he pawed his head a little bit before putting his paw back down, he chuckled once more. "And I thank you for that one, I quite like it though my father doesn't. He finds it... annoying, if you will."

She smiled again, feeling quite charmed. He made her feel special. He was going to try her method, her counting. He was incredibly well mannered, and Mia wondered where he'd picked it up from, he sure must have had a decent upbringing, that was for sure. The way he spoke enticed the lioness, he reminded her so much of a young and well, more golden Mahiri.
At his charming smile she replied with another large one of her own. She could be a little too naive sometimes. "I don't know why he'd find it irritating." She cocked her head to the side again "I like it!"

"Perhaps because he doesn't like it, honestly, I think it makes me different-no, unique," he let out a laugh which eventually died down to a reluctant sigh. She was a wonderful talking company, not often did he get joys with a female like this. Okay, maybe from time to time, but this much older female was more mature than the ones he met. Nix was playful, Hidaya was youthful, Rage was quite, Kimya was a mother now and she was already quite mature, all in all, Mia stuck out to him.
"You remind me of my mother, she looks just like you. Except, she has these marks under her eyes," he explained as he drew two imaginary streaks under his eyes at a slight curve, just like his mother had. Zeki let out a chuckle, "But I take after my Dad."

"Oh." She found this quite ironic, as he reminded her of his father. The way he spoke, but not in looks. Voicing her opinion, she suddenly turned a little shy. "You remind me of my father." She paused, surveying the adolescent again. "Not in looks, but definately in intelligence." She smiled. "What was your mothers name again?" She asked politely.

"Do I? Uncle Trig said I was made out to be a good father someday because I was a son to a great one," he chuckled only making him think about his father some more. He wanted Ger to come home desperately, but it was hard to admit that an adolescent wanted his father. Or his mother for that reason. He had not seen Trina in such a long time too, he wanted to see them both again. However, until Ger was back, he was gonna have to have Ezeoha keep his word to keep himself safe. Confusing, but things worked out in the end.
"Her name? I've always called her 'Mother' or 'Trina'. However, her name's Trinacria. Why do you ask?"

Mia smiled again, and nodded to the male gently. "I'm sure you will be." She wanted to be a mother someday, so she could raise a family of her own, and give them as much love and compassion as she'd been given as a child.
"Trinacria." She repeated. "Forgive me, but the name sounds ever so familiar.." One two three.. four.. Number one. But what was his name?. Mahiris first son.. She remembered the lengthy conversation they had, regarding their family tree. Lying in the long grass in the heat of the day. One. His name...
"Mchele?" She suddenly spoke. "Do you know Mchele?" If she was right in her thinking, then Trinacria was her, niece?! But she was older than Trina... Oh, having a large family was downright confusing at times. Seemingly embarassed from her outburst, she smiled at Ezekiel sweetly.

"I know little about my family, some ties on my father's side linking me to the late king and queen, rest their souls. I know even less about my mother's and that is downright shameful. However, that name does ring a bell, my mother mentioned him once, do you know him?" He questioned.
His father's side was all he knew really. His grandmother, his father's mother, was Jahazara who is rumored to still be around Pride Rock, the Pride Lands at the very least. Their father was a rogue. The family went back to a Firekin-Pride Lander pair, who was connected to Mufasa through the further king, Ahadi. The rest was alive and he could simply talk to that side of the family. He knew of his Uncles, his father's half-brothers, they were his tutors.
On his mother's side, he only knew some of the names, Mchele was familiar. Koka was a faint thought, but he felt rather embarrassed that he did not know them. He'd have to ask them.
"I just know they shared no blood ties to the Royal family."
