Resting under the shade of a large, looming tree, a lone green lion sleeps. The day passes on around him, uncaring, unerring to his life or significance. Times moves on and so does the lives of others. Small gnats flutter around his sleeping form, his body showing no responses but the puffing of his chest and the slow exhale. A soft echo of a cicada echo into the savanna's music. The wafting breeze rustling the sea of tall grass that encompassed the home he had began to make his own. Long had he came here, waiting for the Goddess of Rage, the ebony and crimson Goddess of wrath and uncontrolled strength. Though many could see her as dangerous, he saw nothing but the kindness in her that only he could see it seemed. How could no other? She had been nothing but kind and protective. Though, he waited for her to return with her sister. As times passed, uncaring to his desire to wait for her or hers to return to him, another life crossed his own's path. The lost, alone female of green, Kijani. He had welcomed her into his new home and welcomed her to stay. The green lion saw comfort in the lioness with not many others to converse with. In truth, he was shy of those outside his fort, his sanctuary. Little did he know, things would change for him, if he wanted it to or not.
Od let out a feral yawn as he stretched out his forelegs, with a soft murr as he pushed his head against his body. A soft crack signals his satisfied relief. Eyes of green scanned around him and soon slight worry raced around his heart.
"Kija?" he murred softly. She was a relatively shy girl, and this was her home if she wished it, but would she have left without a word? "Kija?" he called again before raising to his feet. Worry grew more, was she still around the area? Quickly, he struggled his way up to the top of the tree and peered out into the territory. Where'd she go?

Kijani had a wonderful sleep this past night, peering up at the stars, making a new friend, Ishi, she was a nice female, in the same predicament Kijani was in as well. Accept Kijani had somewhere to go back to, someone to go back and see, and that put a smile across her maw. She heard her name called, and saw the form of the tree fortress she was beginning to call home.
"Uzu?" she called out in her tender voice, stepping by the fort, peering up into its branches.
"Uzu I'm right here," was he worried? Oh no, she didn't mean to make him upset by her little excursion! She really didn't mean it...really.

Od looked down below to see her face peering up at him. She was alright, she was safe, and she was here. That's good. His heart slowly settled down as he watched her from above. Kija was calling him that name again, no one really called him that before. His siblings called him Od, perhaps because of how he spoke when he was younger, and his parents called him Uzuri, perhaps to be formal or more... parenting? Carefully he fell from the tree as it seemed it the was only way he could do it, landing in the tall grass. Of course it hurt, but it was better the tall grass than the dirt and rocks.
Emerging from the tall grass, he quickly came to her and nuzzled her softly.
"You worried me again, I thought you left," he smiled as he sat himself down. He never really thought of himself worrying over another like this, a female. It was a strange feeling, but it made him a bit more happier and relaxed to know that the new presence in his life was safe for the time. "if you were ever going to leave, you would have at least said good-bye, right?" he questioned.

"Leave? Why would I go?" she asked tilting her head with a flick of her tail her mind whirled, such thoughts, such instances, could it really be like this, was it meant to be like this? She wasn't sure, life had given her so many things to doubt upon, she swiveled her ears, "If I was going to, I would have, yes," she'd find a way to go about it, though saying goodbye, she believed, would be pretty painful on its own.
"I'm sorry...that I worried you..."

"Myru..."
Uzu smiled and laid down upon his stomach. She seemed to disappear time to time, it seemed he would have to trust her and let her do what she wants to. After all, he wasn't her father or anything and he definitely did not want to be depicted as this hurtful being from her past life. She was free now and it seemed she wanted to stay here with him.
But for how long?
"I am glad, at least then I would know you will be leaving," he replied. "And I won't have to hunt extra!"
The green pride lander laughed the last part, obvious it was a joke. He didn't like to hunt too much but if it kept her happy and she had a full belly, he would have been happy too. She was, after all, living in his home now.
"So, why do you keep wanderin' off?"

Kijani peered at the ground, swept a paw against hte grass and sat back on her haunches, eyes focused on the grassblades that swayed to and fro with the gentle wind, "I don't know...I mean, I don't mean to, I just get caught up in tought, if that makes sense..." she said sincerely, honestly, and she peered up at him with a soft smile on her maw, "I don't mean to make you worry or anything, honest." Flicking her tail she looked up at hte sky, at the clouds that rolled by, it was so beautiful here. "I always come back though, and I've been wandering away less and less," as if her words would comfort them she sighed a bit, shook her head to clear past thoughts, "I'm sorry Uzu...its still hard, but you make it so much easier, make the nightmares and bad thoughts go away."

Od listened to her words carefully. The more she called him "Uzu" the more he felt himself moving further from "Od". Was he growing up? The green lion smiled softly and nosed her. The scar made him stare at times as he tried to imagine how her life was before but he could never see it or imagine it. To see someone like her in a life like that.
"I am glad I was able to get rid of your nightmares, Kija."
He paused and looked with her into the sky. The clouds were mello today, good... no storms. No rain. It looked to be alright day so far and he had Kija here to give him some company. He couldn't explain it but with her here, he almost forgot about Rage and her coming with her sister Nix. At times, he wished they did come so Kija could see. At others, he was afraid they would scare her away. Though, it always tickled his mind....
What was Rage up to now a days?

Kijani smiled softly, and moved herself so she was sitting right next to Uzu, a smile on her face she leaned against im, her head on his shoulder as she closed her eyes, basked in the togetherness she shared with him so sweetly, so truthfully. This was not a dream, not ill intentioned others dwelled here in this place it seemed, and for that she was glad. "What do you think about when you look at the sky Uzu?" she asked softly, purring softly staying where she was. She smiled to herself, stifled a giggle and moved her tail tor est next to Uzu's, slightly touching. Ah yes, such a day. (end)

"Myru..."
One cannot help but blush to such a gesture and action that he was witnessing now. Someone he considered himself close with was doing something he only saw in his parents and some of his siblings. Was what she doing what she should be doing with a friend? Slowly, his fur turned a darker shade of green as he tried his best to hide his face.
"What I see?... I see... Rage."
He murmured softly as his tail flicked itself over hers and braced himself for a better cushion for her. It was nice to be with someone, it was great to be with someone you are friends with. It would be spectacular if there was more to than just that. As much as he scratched his brain over it, this was the best thing he could come up with.
"Hey, Kija, do you know anything about cubs?"
Straightforward, no?

"Rage?" Kijani asked in a somewhat shocked voice, she moved her head so that she could look up at him more, snuggled herself against his side, "Rage is not good to see in the clouds, is it? Clouds re not filled with rage, and rage means your angry, your not angry, are you?" she asked hopeful that he was not. She stayed close though, peered at the clouds agian, how could he see rage up there? "Cubs?" she asked hinking, trying to remember, "cubs come from ove, least, thats what my mom told me once when I was curious, before she went away, they are cute?" she wasn't really sure how to answer. She smiled though.

"Oh! Not that sort of Rage, Kija. My best friend's name is Ryu'rage, I haven't seen her in a very long time. I kinda think that if I look in the sky, she must be looking at the same sky like everyone else... maybe one day she'll come back and say hi to her favorite little bugger."
Uzu turned his head a but and gave a comical wink, his tongue stuck out a little. In a way, he was just mocking himself. But if he was ever lost or felt alone, he could just look into the sky. He wanted Rage to meet Uzu... not Od.
"Yeah, someone told me that they come from love, but that's all I know. Maybe they just come out of the ground or something! I remember when I was a cub, Rage liked me a lot then."

Kijani giggled and pressed against him as if to push him slightly, "Well that makes more sense! She'll probably come visit soon, perhaps we could go look for her sometime? Maybe she's around here somewhere, she just might be caught up with something," Kija said with a nod, though she hoped this 'Rage' was not hurt or anything, if Uzu found out, he might get upset, Kija didn't want tos ee him upset, not at all. She giggled and shook her head, 'I don't think they come from the ground, they obviously hve to come from mom's," though how something like that happened, she was oblivious, "Takes both parents I think, you must've been a cute cub!"

He smiled and licked her forehead.
"I do hope she's alright and not off fighting again. She has that horrible habit, but she is really nice. At the very least, like you said, caught up with something. I just wished I knew."
When Kija made the next comment, he could not help but look at her quizzically. They came from moms? Well, he did remember, very vaguely, that his mother was there when he was born. He remembered her scent so well. It was a bit after that that he remembered his fathers. So maybe they both had something to do with it. He remembered being somewhere warm before all that. He tapped his chin lightly before replying with an answer.
"Maybe you have something there. If cubs do come from moms, then how does the mom get them? Moms have to be females so you must know something!"
he blushed lightly.
"I guess I was cute..."

"Well, dad's help to, in some way, I guess," Kijani tried to think, ponder what it could be. Why hadn't anyone ever told her? Hmm. The thoughts of Uzu's friend Rage were interesting, it seemed like Uzu cared for her very much. Kijani stretched her legs and lay on the ground, curled next to Uzu with a smile on her maw. "You should go try to find her tomorrow, see how she is, she would love it I am guessing."
Kijani purred and giggled, "You had to have been, look at you know, still so cute, hansome" she felt a blush come to her cheeks and she sighed contently at his side.
This was wonderful.
She yawned and snuggled closer against Uzu, perhaps after a nap, they could try to find out how cubs did come about.
Hmm..
