Irelia had been prone to taking long bike rides for the past couple of months, mostly because she was forbidden from seeing any of the other kids in her area, as she was a "danger to their very existence". It wasn't her fault that she was naturally inquisitive and as curious as a cat, and really, Taki had seemed to go along with it without much wailing or carrying on.
But Irelia was free to do as she wanted, now that her sentence had been filled, and she was out looking for a playmate.
Cruising past a dilapidated house, Irelia noticed someone familiar outside. Braking her bike with glee, Irelia dumped it unceremoniously on the street and ran up to her friend.

Ever since the dog the musically inclined 'family' knew it would be best for their 'expanding' family to get a house. Now that they had one, Ashley found herself desperately wanting to move back into an apartment. There was so much MORE to clean now.
So Harper had been banished to t heir 'front yard,' if the dirt filled 10ft by 5ft block of earth counted as such. His dog unleashed and lazily laying next to him, he rolled a ball at the resting body of it and watched as it bounced off her and back to him. He was, clearly, quite bored.
His game stopped when the familiar girl rode past, something like horror and glee and terror and excitement crossing his face so that he didn't make a move until she had bounded over, to which a very slow, "Irelia?" came from the boy. "What are you doing here-"

Irelia threw herself on Harper, not taking in to account that her dress was white and the ground was brown. She ended up half on Harper and half off him, and tried to clamber in to a more suitable position, but throwing up mounds of dirt with her hooves.
"Harper!!!!!!" Irelia sniggered tried to ruffle Harper's hair, but he was too tall (Irelia was a diminutive 3 and a half feet tall, which bugged her to no end)

"What the- Girl!" Harper blinked, looking hopelessly annoyed when he was clobbered on. He wondered briefly why it seemed like Irelia always thought them grand friends when, as far as he was concerned, she was a scary girl who seemed to get mad. A lot.
"You lost or somethin?" He asked, getting to his feet, coughing in the roused up dust. Piper got a whiff of it and walked toward the girl to sniff and investigate her, while Harper crossed his arms. "Haven't seen you in awhile.." He thought out loud.
"Harper y'want some smoothies an- Heeey, you got another little girlfriend over! How cuuuute." Eliot teased, having poped open the front door in a slam with a pink smoothie in his hand. "Y'want one too, princess?"

"I am not lost! I might have taken a few wrong turns, I think i hit the postman....-" Irelia trailed off, and looked as sheepish as she was. Irelia knelt down to pet the dog, and cleaned her face off with her sleeve.
Because Irelia was pretty nosy, more so than most people are allowed to be, she seemed to think that everyone who didn't call her a monster to her face were best friends with her. It didn't help that she could usually hear what secrets the other person tried to hide from her at all.
Because it was usually pretty juicy.
Turning to Elliot, Irelia grinned happily.
"Yes please!"
Irelia beamed at the princess part. No one who knew her would EVER call her that.

Harper blinked a few times, staring blankly at Irelia. "Okaaaay. Your fruity dad know you are here?" He asked with a grin, that was quickly wiped away when Eliot came out. "She aint my girlfriend!" He protested, shaking his head violently, "No she aint stayin wi-"
"Harper! Don't be rude!" Eliot hissed, beckoning Irelia in the house with his head. "C'mon dudette, gotta make another smoothie.
"Stupid Eliot.." Harper muttered, rolling his eyes, he moved to grab Irelia's arm and 'take' her inside, looking quite unhappy about it. Piper followed.
"You know, theres that big tree out back Harper, was thinking you could. Move out there." Eliot added on his way to the kitchen, after moving to give Irelia Harper's smoothie and thus procure another glare from the boy.

Irelia skipped inside the house, and blew a raspberry, albeit a silent one, at Harper. She was really trying to be good, but Harper always made it difficult. Especially as Irelia mulled over the statement of "another" girlfriend that Elliot had yelled.
With the smoothie in her hand, Irelia sipped slowly, turning the thoughts over in her head. Another, another another....
Turning to Harper angrily, Irlia stamped her hoof on the ground.
"What other girlfriend?"
And lo, she was mad again.

Harper stared blankly for a moment before shaking his head, "I dont have a -" Stopping, he gave a 'psh' sound and stuck his nose in the air, "I got tuns of girlfriends."
A snort/laugh could be heard from the kitchen.
"Whats it to you, anyway?" He asked, nervously stepping away from the whereabouts of her hooves. "You know, I never see you, and when I do you are off gettin mad about something I have no idea about and then you start stompin those stupid hooves of yours and -"
"Don't make me put you on time out in front of your girlfriend here, Harper!" Eliot 'threatened', the grin on his face betraying him as he walked out with the second smoothie that had considerably less 'smooth' than the one that was originally intended for him.
"Try it." Harper growled, taking the smoothie grumpily, and after one sip he began staring at Irelia's hatefully.

Irelia had forgotten the reason that she had become friends with Harper, other than their consuming hate for one particular DayCamp person. He wasn't being very pleasant, and Irelia knew that she wasn't being particularly easy to get along with, either.
Sighing, Irelia put down her glass, and calmed herself. Her temper was out of control, she knew that, but it was really hard to interact with people when you KNEW you were right, even though you were clearly wrong.
"Um... I wanted to build a treehouse, but I can't in the apartment's trees, since it is not allowed. So I came riding over here, hoping that you might have a tree..."
Irelia bit her lip. She stopped herself from going on, and stood horribly embarrassed in the middle of the kitchen.

Harper stared at her. Blankly. Entirely confused.
Eliot, on the other hand, gave a shrug. "We got a tree!" He declared pleasantly, walking to the window and pulling back the drapes to showcase the ugly back yard with a large tree in the center. "Some old wood around the back too, I keep tellin Sunny to get his lazy .. uh.. behind out there but nooo, I have to do everythingggg." Eliot rolled his eyes and let the drapes close.
"You. Wanted to make. a treehouse." Harper repeated, still staring.
"-and I think there are some old tools in the garage.. At least, I think Solo was using a hammer to put up that satelite, could of been an arm gauntlet." Eliot thought out loud, thinking not so to himself.
"And you thought of me." Harper continued. Still staring.
"Nope, yep, nope, definitely a bunch of tools! In the garage! Well, you are in luck, off to go make your tree house kiddos!.. No making out! Haha!"
"ELIOT GO AWAY!" Harper suddenly belted, heavily frustrated, and proving if there was ever any doubt he could yell just as loud as Irelia if he wanted to. "I hardly know you, Irelia! I don't even know your na- Er.."
Eliot gave a sigh. "Good chance to get to know herrr~" He sang, in a heavily teasing voice, leaving the kitchen finally.
The boys choices seemed clear at that point. He could totally humiliate her and throw her out, which would definitely seem the obvious choice especially had she been a preppy and or nerdy boy, or he could get over himself for a moment and figure out why the loud little horned girl always getting into fights and seemingly desperately vying for his attention was all about.
"Fine. Let's make a treehouse."

"Yay!" Irelia clapped her hands gleefully. Then stopped herself. That was definitely not going to make her any friends.
Irelia skipped outside in the direction that Elliot had pointed, and looked up in to the branches of an oak tree, probably dead or dying, but practically perfect for their treehouse-making endeavors.
"Look, its perfect!"
Irelia bit on her nails, envisioning the magnificent tree house that they would make, her dreams not thinking much on the fact that children rarely finish projects.

Harper shook his head and followed her out to the backyard, wondering what he had just done.
"Uh, okay. Why do we need a treehouse anyway? I mean. We. Have a house." He said, looking back at the house behind them. "Ain't like we can pipe some electricity in there and get a nice stereo system goin' or whatever, no tv, no video games.. just.. a tree. It'd suck." He decided, but went to go start shoveling the planks of wood next to the house toward the tree.

"You don't get it, do you?" Irelia said in her normal, bossy voice.
Speaking quieter, and a lot nicer, Irelia said, "That house is your parents house. This would be our house. And. They. Won't. Be' Allowed. In."
Irelia went to help gather the wood, and hauled a big splintery piece up to the tree.
"Doesn't..." Irelia was stuck on the name, "Elliot? come in to your room unasked a lot? He doesn't look like he's one to respect boundaries."
Coughing as she threw down the board, Irelia wiped her hands on her dress.
"We need to first nail some boards to the tree so we can get up the tree. Where did Elliot say the tools were?"

"ELiot not.. ellie..elliot.." Harper snarked, shaking his head. "He don't come in my room. I go in his room." He said smartly, looking quite proud of himself before another thought crossed his mind. ".... I dont.. think.. You know now that I think about it.."
He pointed at the garage nearby. "In there. I aint goin. Theres these huge head sucking harpy women spiders in there. You go, they are your kind." He grinned at her, watching carefully for how she'd take that, before he went to go get more room.
"And it still won't have a stereosystem, which blows. You uhm. Want some clothes? Or climbing trees in dresses be your kinda thing?"

Irelia flounced towards the garage, and spun to face Harper.
"Alright I'll get the stuff. But the spiders will fear me and my hooves and I will be their leader," Cackling manically, Irelia went in to the toolshed. A couple of smallish spiders moved skittishly across their cobwebs, but it was nothing really to be afraid of.
Irelia grabbed the heavy old tool box and walked back outside.
"The spiders have accepted me as one of their own, and now I urge them to wait for you to sleep at night, and then they will attack!"
Grabbing a hammer from the box, she turned to look up at Harper.
"Hmm? Oh. I guess this isn't the best thing to be clambering around in... You'd lend me some clothes?"
