+Welcome to Creative Writing! I'll be your teacher- and you can call me Ms. Emelyn, or Ms. Em. For this class, we're going to be learning how to draw creativity out of our own lives through a number of writing outlets. Production is key in this class- so production will be the main source of points.
((Also known as, this course will have various assignments- but mostly, it's to reward journalkeeping, and to help create different sorts of things to go into your logs/journals.))
"Class, your first assignment is to write either a paragraph, or a poem, or a list of descriptive words that describes someone in your life- whether it be another Skull Monkey, a parent, or one of your non-SM siblings or friends! This assignment is worth 1 point, and is just a fun warmup.

-Lundy had chosen a seat more to the side and twoards the back of the class. His scarf was wrapped securely around his neck. His tail swished as he started to write his assignment.-
"Thus far in my young life I've only met so many people..so many SMs..so many friends. But to only choose one is a pure challenge. Well..I've decided to write about a SM, a true friend to me. I've known him since before I was hatched, and I wish on knowing him untill I die. He is Rome, and he is the best friend anyone could ever ask for. Everyone at HQ and throughout the SM society seem to know him, or can relate to him.
-Lundy- "
-Lundy finished scribbling down the words onto his paper. He placed it at the top corner of his desk, then put his head down with a small yawn.-

Sakura came in the class still with no hat on, sat down up front since she didn't want to have the trouble of finding a good seat again. After a few minutes of thinking of whom her subject for her writing would be she picked somone who she knew would allways care for her no matter what.
"My mom is pretty much allways there for me no matter what, even though she somtimes worrys way to much, but I know it's for the good of my life. This isn't the first time I have writen about her, she make a good person to write about and not because she's my mom. But still she's sweet and loving most of the time, the other times aren't as well that's why I don't get on her bad side. She's very reasion able when she wants to be, thats why I stay at the hq most of the time, it's because she lets me. But I do go back to spend time with her, and then she would go out and buy me somthing else for my room, but I say she can relate to all the other moms out there."
After writing down her assignment she placed her name on the top left side and turned her paper over.

Rome smirked and started writing, not sure what he was going to say until his pen started to form words on the paper.
"Lundy is too small
Lundy is too red
Lundy is too clean
Lundy is too pickey
Lundy is too skinny
Lundy is not around enough
Lundy is not manyly
Lundy is not surfer material
Lundy is not outgoing
Lundy is not outspoken
Ducky is my best friend and I accept him for everything he is too much and what he is not."
After he finished he gave a satisfyed flick of his tail and wrote his name on the paper then looked up to the teacher.
"Where do you want these, Miss Em?"

"Right up here on my desk, Rome. I'm going to read them aloud to the class, without your name on them- and then, we're all going to give each one two compliments. You have to learn to take constructive criticism, as a writer- but first, it's more important to learn how to take a compliment." She then proceeded to read all three works aloud- and waited for someone to raise their hand w/ their compliments.

Rome sat in silence, beat red under his skull, not suprised if people could see the redness seep onto it, how was he supposed to know that she was going to read them out loud? He would have written it about something else then! As he looked to Lundy and Sakura, he figured the best way to get the blush off of his face was to speak up and shake it off, so he raised his hand. As he was called on he cleared his throat, afraid of another incident that happened in music when he introduced himself.
"I think the best friend in the paragraph one sounds like a really cool guy and you can tell through the tone that he means a lot to the writer."

-Lundy's eyes poped at and he stared at Miss. Em, gawkingly. He didn't think his writting would be read aloud. He slouched in his seat and drew his scarf up around his face and neck, trying to hide.-

"Thank you, Rome," Emelyn said, smiling down at her daughter's friend. "That's a perfect example of a good compliment to writing- to sense what the writer must have been feeling." She then looked around the room, and saw Lundy, blushing and slinking down in his seat, and she addressed the entire class.
"And don't be embarrassed by your writing. You should always write for yourself- and you should never be ashamed of something you've done. Now, does anyone else want to go? Sakura? Lundy?"

-Lundy had slunk down even further into his chair. He felt like he was on a stage infront of many, many people and SMs. He shook his head slightly when Ms. Em asked if he or Sakura had anything else to say. He felt horrible as is.-

Em saw the obvious distress- and didn't want to push it any further. She hoped there would come a day when Lundy would come out of his shell, but today was not it- and there was no reason to embarrass him.
"It's alright if someone doesn't want to speak. And this is the last time in a long while I'll read anyone's work aloud. Lets try a more personal assignment this time. And don't worry- you don't have to read this one aloud." She winked at her class. She went up to the board and started to write, talking at the same time.
"There are many different components to writing- and today, we're going to start with three basics: setting, character, and emotion.
Now. I want you ALL to pick something that happened to you in the past few days- a situation or an event, and write four sentences about the setting- where it happened. Nothing else- just the setting. THEN, write four sentences about character- who was involved, and some things about them. And then four sentences about the emotions of the event. When you bring these back, I'll help you put them all together to form a good mini-story. This assignment will be worth two points."

"Ey uh, Ms Em." Rome put his hand up after she finished talking and cleared his throat as he wrote down how many sentences was for each of the things. "Is this homework or are we supposed to do it right now?" He had his pen out ready to go but he was startin' to drift off into his own little world, a signal he had been in one place for too long.

-Lundy sat up slightly, glad to hear that their next assignment wouldn't be read out loud. He nodded and scribbled down what he had to do, then quickly got started. He paused when he heard Rome's question and put his pen down. He looked up at Ms. Em and arched a brow slightly, waiting for her answer.-

Sakura then let out a small sigh, then nodded to her teacher grabbed a peice of paper and picked up her pencil to start writing. She heard what Rome had asked but she didn't care seeing as if she got it done sooner she'd have more extra time on her hands.
Well we was in the dinning room, a nice cozy room with a nice shiny wood table, which had the food we where eating on blue glass plates . Wood chairs but the paddings on the back and the butt parts, and did I mention the shiny. A nice but costly maple wood floor, with a flower rug bye the door that says welcome to the dinning room. Nice tan walls, with pretty curtains on the windows, A shelve with a flower vase on it filled with lots of random flowers.
My brother was there, and he's a very messy eater oh and I do mean messy. He hates everything I cook when it's my turn, and when it's his turn he have cookies and muffins. He can't see with out his glasses and is realy stuburn at times, wait all the time. He's someone who you would probaly call a junk eater maybe, or maybe even lazy but who knows really.
Well he called me a picky eater, but I really hate it when people talk about me eating habbits. He made fun of how I think apples tatse not in pie, how I like green beans and a few other veggitables. And also talked about how I could eat some sweet then eat that stuff the next day, but it was food not stuff. I even told him about how other eating habbits aren't much of his problem, but he said they are now if it has that nasty stuff to do with it.

She then folded up her paper and waited for what Em had to say about what Rome had to ask after all.

"Homework, dear," Em said, and then pinched herself on the arm for calling a teenager 'dear'. "I'm sorry Rome- bad habit." She spotted Sakura, already finished writing, and said, "If you're like Sakura, you've just got your evenings free of homework. Sakura, you can turn that in now, if you'd like."
