I really do think that all the songs in A Fever You Can't Sweat Out are interconnected. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think Ryan's said that too.
So, I was wondering, wouldn't it be cool if the Panic! At the Disco fan guild could find out how all those songs are connected?
Maybe like a puzzle, but I'm thinking more like a chain.
Eh, it was just an idea.
If it goes over okay, I'll put all the song meanings we come up with on the second post.
For now, it's reserved.

Yeah, I meant the lyrics.
I think Ryan said something about how it was a story...I kinda want to figure out the meaning of all the songs and how it goes from chapter to chapter.
(Speaking metaphorically, of course. Chapters meaning songs.)

I think some of the songs are connected, but definitely not all of them. Some of them are about Ryan's life, while others are just random stories he wrote. This is how I always think of it:
"Introduction" & "The Only" & "London"
(they are basically just saying, 'yeah, we're different, and we don't care what you think of us.')

"Nails" & "Camisado"
(Ryan just telling us about his past experiences with his father.)
--break--
"Time To Dance" & "Lying"
(Ryan telling us about his past experiences with girls.)
--intermission--
(dividing the album into two sections; going from techno-pop-dance stuff to vaudvillian-berlesque stuff. Ever notice the album cover, how if the top part of the body is modern, then the body part of the body is from the olden days [and vice versa]? It's basically forshadowing this intermission, and how the album is divided into two different parts. A Fever is basically like a two-for-one deal.)
"But It's Better" & "I Write Sins"
(I feel as if "Sins" is like a sequal to "But It's Better." I sort of feel like those two songs are connected to fit into one story.)

(random story)

"There's A Good Reason"
(random story)
--break--
"Build God"
(random story)
I think the last three songs fit together musically, but lyrically...they are nothing alike. I guess that's how I think of the album. 3nodding

What if like...the girl in "Time To Dance," "Lying," "But It's Better," "Sins," and "Build God" is all the same girl? xd rofl They don't seem to like her very much if it is the same girl, haha.

I think "Lying" and "Time to Dance" is more like about a teenage girl, and I think "But It's Better" "Sins" and "Build God" is the teenage girl, grown up.
But then again, the "Time to Dance" girl seems out of place...

But, Ryan has said that the second half of the album is just stories he made up. To me, they all seem a little different. I don't feel like he's talking about he same character.
