Simi had been spending so much time away from his family, and only recently did he notice it. He spent a lot of time roaming around the Pridelands, having fun meeting others, going on discovery explorations, even making a couple close friends (even if he didn't know they were more one-sided than anything). But once he had felt his head grow a bit heavier with his rich earth-red mane growing in, he realized that while he was young, he didn't actually play that much with his sibilings. How much had he pissed out on? Probably a lot. But family got overwhelming when you had 8 other sibilings, plus your mother was the Queen.

He peered his head into the caves where his family mostly lived (or just slept), seeing if any of his sibilings were still loafing around in the late morning. Hopefully, someone, so maybe he could just give them a quick vocal hug of how much he appreciated them. He cleared his voice in hopes that someone was here, and would notice him. If not, he'd probably go try to find his mother or father and ask for some advice on things. A piece of him wanted to leave, to see what the rest of the world was like, but if it was against his parents wishes, he probably would not follow through to see that dream. His parents took such good care of him, why should he throw that all away?

"Oh," he breathed, movement slipping him away from his thoughts. Was that..."Safuma?"

By now, Safuma was quite used to life without her family, for the most part. She saw some of them now and then, and they might groom one another before bed, but not much more than that. Even Mzuza seemed to have other things to do and with Ezekiel gone, Safuma only had strangers to pass the time with. She did it well, and would watched her siblings from a distance to be sure they were getting along alright, but she wasn't one to force herself upon them. If they got to speak, they got to speak. On occasion she could stomach Sarakiva for a period of time, and she did get to see Mzuza sometimes, just not as often as when they were cubs. As stated, it was hard to keep in touch with 8 siblings, especially when they were all princes, princesses, heirs and heiresses.

Needless to say, when she heard someone say her name, she wasn't all too surprised. When her crimson eyes found the speaker, however, she was shocked. Simi was one brother that she didn't get to see, much less speak with, very often at all. He was well-traveled, as she was, meeting creatures all over their lands and, if he was like her, conversing with rogues, she was sure. She liked hearing about the world beyond the Pride Lands, even if she couldn't bring herself to leave just yet.

Smiling broadly, she padded a few steps closer towards her brother before her hind legs folded and she sat with grace obtained only through age and not through practice. She was growing up, just as they all were. "Simi! Long time no see."

"Safuma!" he repeated again, his greeting full of exuberance. He offered her a broad smile full of adoration for his family. Even though they were always busy with their lives, he still knew that there was a core there for all of them, and that was their blood.

"It sure has been! What have you been up to?" he asked, clueless about everything in her life. He was pretty clueless about everyone's lives, except for the fact that the twins had their mates and they were going through the training of one day having tot ake over the Pridelands when their parents stepped down. He knew that wouldn't be for a long time yet, but still...it really proved that they were growing up.

Simi himself knew this, obviously from the growth of his mane, but sometimes it was still hard to swallow. Soon he wouldn't be able to run around and do everything he used to as a cub, for he had his own duties to settle into, even if that met just being an example to everyone. He was a prince, after all.

Now, hopefully he could still be friends with Tahka and Tufah while all this 'growing up' business was going on. He hadn't been able to go see them in a bit, and sort of missed them. Well, maybe Tufah more than Tahka, he always got confused on what Tahka said.

Safuma would always be deliriously happy to see her siblings, initially. Perhaps the glow would rub off as she spent more time with Sarakiva, and perhaps it would brighten when she was around Mzuza, but either way that first jumpstart of happiness in her heart would never die. Simi was no exception.

"Oh, you know," Of course he didn't, but she didn't really know where to begin. It's not like she didn't anything fantastic day to day, but she fumbled through a response somewhat sheepishly, "Playing about still, doing nothing in particular." Her boredom often made her bitter once again about being passed over as heir, but so long as she didn't dwell on it. She knew Sarakiva and Akida were busy all the time with everything they had to learn and duties they were responsible for. As stated, the princes and princesses had their own duties, but it was easily accomplished. She simply had to be a good person, and the perfect example of a Pridelander. So she basically had to be herself, not so bad, right?

"I spend alot of time near the border," She shrugged with a broad smile, "Looking for old friends and making new ones. What about you? I always just catch glimpses of you now and then." Perhaps it would be strange for an outsider, to watch siblings talk to one another as if they were strangers, but it was life for the royal litter. With so much land to investigate, and so many family members to keep up with, some links were bound to grow hazy. Reconnections, however, were blindingly easy. "Staying out of trouble?"

Simi was the opposide of Safuma, in the way that he was pleased he wasn't named the heir, as he really didn't feel like he fit in enough to be a ruler someday. He was quite happy just roaming around wherever he wanted, checking in on some of the members while learning as much as he could about the outside world. It seemed fascinating, and one day soon he wanted to ask his mother if it would be alright to go out there, if only for a little while. Now, he didn't know if his mother would actually approve, but....it didn't hurt to try.

"Trouble? Never! Akida caught me coming in late to bed one night, teased me that he'd tell mother. I'm sure he won't, though," he half-hoped, since if he was going to ask his mother for a huge favor sometime in the future, he needed to be reeeally good. "But I've mostly been doing the same as you. The stories from stangers are amazing sometimes, aren't they? Some of them romanticize the outside world, while others warn me to stay faaar away from it." His body was tense at the idea of exploring things that only few knew about, but the threat of some danger also made him nervous.

Unfotunately, the princess didn't have so close a relationship with her mother. It wasn't that she lacked a relationship at all, it was simply a little less compared to some of her siblings. She simply didn't spend much time at home. Typically she went out in the mornings and was one of the last wandering back at night. She was never late, per say, but typically the last of the royal cubs to call it a night. She did remember, however, that one time she saw Simi coming in after her. She'd thought it was strange, given his aversion to irritating their mother, but she hadn't a clue what had happened and had forgotten it by morning. It had never been pursued, until now.

"I remember that night. What in the world were you doing?" She had no idea that he wanted to leave them all one day and travel. It wasn't something she was completely against and had even thought of doing such a thing once or twice as well. She'd like to see things out and about places, but for now she found herself attached to the Pridelands. Everyone she loved was here, she saw no reason to leave just yet. Who knew when such things would come to pass? "They are! I've been searching for someone I met as a cub, actually, but I'm sure she's all grown up now. She was definitely... different. We only met once and yet I find that I miss her alot. I think my favorite part, though," Her eyes twinkled, "will always be watching the elephants."
