There's always Halo 3, if you for some reason don't already have it.
And Super Smash Bros. Brawl when it's released on February 10th.
I could easily start listing a whole bunch of games, but I have no idea what your likes are, so I'll stop there for now.

I myself prefer shooters (both first and third person) and fighting games, with gameplay and content being the most important parts to me. Also very important is customization, not just of appearance, but abilities as well. And the best stat customization I've ever seen in a game is that of Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron. Unfortunately, being for the PSP, it lacks good gameplay. Which is why I want a console version of it (or for every future Battlefront title to have the same customization system).
Star Wars Battfront II is also good, though not a next-gen game. If you ever get your hands on it, prepare to hate Bothans...unless you're a Rebel.
As for single player games, I can no longer seem to get the money to keep up with what I want, so I won't be playing much of those for a while. I will say that I like the Zelda, Sonic, Mega Man, and Metroid games.

Oooh, SoulCalibur IV is on it's way! You should get that.
(That's right, no space between "Soul" and "Calibur." As of IV and Legends, it's one word.....sort of.)

WOO! MASS EFFECT! It makes me drool...
I could give you a ridiculous list of good games to buy but I don't have the attention span. rofl
However, Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, and Halo 3 are all superior games in my highly biased opinion. Oh, and Gears of War. That's a good one too. 4laugh
I really liked battle front I and II, though I'll tell ya, I really really hated droid Decas (sp?), mostly because they could only be sniped out when someone got their stupid shields to go down... that that took forever when I was playing with the guys because they were too busy taking command posts and not worrying about anything else... but I gotta say, assault on Mos Eisley is always fun.
My God I'm such a geek...

It's Droideka. For future reference. And they're one of my favorite classes. Did you know they can knock people over if they're moving at full speed? It doesn't do any damage though.

Character creation will indeed be there. And the Soul Calibur looks like it's made of...divine ice...or something of that sort. There's also SoulCalibur Legends for the Wii, but it's completely different. It follows Seigfried while possessed by Soul Edge between the first two games.
I also have a list of all the equipment/ability options for Renegade Squadron. It's kind of long. Should I post it? So people can put together their prefered loadout?

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, for PC, it kicks immeasurable amounts of a**! Also, Unreal Tournament 3, I shouldn't need to say more. razz
Anything made by Nippon Ichi is win!
Always wanted to try Gears of War, ain't got anything X-box related though, so I may just grab the PC version of that. To be honest though, I think Halo 3 is overrated, don't get me wrong, from what I've seen it looks pretty decent. It just doesn't jump out at me as special or amazing. Like when I saw the original Halo.

People do go too crazy over Halo, but that doesn't stop it from being a good series. It has a great story. You should go through it if you ever get the chance. And actually pay attention, of course.
Gears is also good, but a lot of the story was left open. Which is ok for now, cause it had enough awesome moments to hold me off for a while.
As a side note, Godsmack goes well with Gears of War.

Bladestorm:hundred years war.
Made by same people who made Dynasty Warriors games. so its somewhat close to those.
And what Armored Core was it. If it was the second number 2 one I found a funny glitch involving the swords.
