this is a trick that works with any mouth-pieced instrument. suppose it gets bumped and u cant get it out? scream the best trick i have learned by far is to take someone elses mouthpiece(the heavier the better)and use it to tap the instrument anywhere near where the mouthpiece goes in. a 'tap' might be considered a mild whack, but nothing near enough to leave a mark. it usually takes around 3+ taps to free it. hope this helps if u ever have a problem like this just as i have MANY times.. mrgreen

this one trumpet player in our band is always getting his mouthpiece stuck because he likes to lean on it. i should recommend this method to him the next time that he gets it stuck.
