Taking Out the Competition On this last Impact before Ground Zero, the Cruiser Champion went one on one with his younger sister and pioneer of the division. It was Brandon Damone vs Janelle Damone in what promised to be yet another high flying match and a spotlight for the Cruiser Division. But it seems Brandon forget a very valuable bit of information when one has the Heartbreak Kid after their title: he'll do whatever it takes to get it. As Brandon was gaining control of the match, Shawn Michaels interfered to cost him the victory. And Janelle, the WWCW Women's Champion, learned a lesson as well. You never know when Shawn Michaels is going to play you some Sweet Chin Music. We caught up with Shawn afterwards.Interviewer: After your attack on the cruiser champion and his sister, a few questions spring to mind. Firstly, what provoked the attack. Shawn: Nothing provoked the attack. I deliver Sweet Chin Music whenever I want. Besides, it seems that due to the fact that in other federations such as EEW Brandon and i were tag team partners as members of D-Generation X, he forgot one little thing. When there's a title on the line, there are no friends, only enemies.interviewer: Fair enough. But why did you help janelle to win the match, only to superkick her afterwards. Shawn: That was simply another message, letting Brandon know that even though i didn't get him tonight, he'll be feeling just like his sister after Ground Zero. And besides that, it's obvious Janelle thought i was joining the WWCW side in this whole invasion thing, and that's not really foremost in my mind.Interviewer: So does that mean you're staying with XCW? Shawn: What that means is unlike everyone else around here, I'm concentrating on getting what's important to me, and that's gold around my waist. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got other things to do.

Talent + Zarel=Unstoppable? My respect for zarel Damone has shot up recently! WAIT! Don't all faint at once! There is a reason to what sounds like the craziest sentence I have ever uttered! You see, I thought Zarel was 100% useless when I won the XCW Tag Title all by myself while he got slaughtered before my match ending performance! But on a episode of XCW before the PPV, and before WWCW started trying (and failing) to invade XCW, I saw a side of Zarel I had never seen before! Firstly, he actually dished some punishment out himself by flooring The Undertaker and then with some help from yours truly, we busted Kane open with a monster steel chair shot! Kane bled like a sieve! twisted Looking down on The Brothers of Destruction and then up at Zarel, I saw a fire burning in Zarels eyes! It said to me that he no longer wished to be a untalented loser like everyone else! I looked up at him and smiled! Finally he is begininning to understand what it takes to be, well, as good as me! Jarel Damone, I have awoken a sleeping giant in Zarel, and when we are finished with the washed-up BoD and WWCW you know you better be watching your back!

End of a Giant We have come to learn that one of our more popular superstars is about to retire. Following his title loss to AJ Styles, Vincent Sanctuary has decided to step down. Vincent has been a superstar and a champion in both XCW and WWCW, perhaps finding his largest amount of fame in WWCW as the longest reigning United States Champion and a former World Heavyweight champion.
In WWCW, Vincent came in and achieved one of the longest winning streaks in the company's history, eventually earning his way into a United States Title match, which was vacant at the time. he defended the title against all comers, including the Undertaker, Gospel, and Tommy Duncan. His streak continued until he was placed in a fatal four way barbed wire steel cage for teh World Heavyweight championship, which Kane had won as WWCW Ragnarok. He fell short, as Zarel forced Kane to tap out to a sharpshooter, and went on to team with Zarel to defend his united states championship against Cartwright and Tommy Duncan. Following that, he was granted another title shot and won controversially, as special referee Damien Ace was late making the count for Zarel and quick for Vincent. This led to Vincent losing the US title to Zarel, who used underhanded tactics of his own to unify the belt with the Intercontinental title. Vincent went on to compete in the clash of champions match, and on WWCW's last Warzone broadcast, he lost the World Heavyweight title to Samoa Dan
Here in XCW, he took the place by storm when he took the hardcore championship, and eventually defeated Travis Dukeman in a very short match to unify the title with the Television Championship. This reign was very short lived, as he lost the gold to AJ Styles just 24 hours later. Now, for unknown reasons, he has announced his retirement. XCW magazine wishes him well in future endeavors.

Brothers Unite This last Impact episode was by no means normal. It was expected that Zarel Damone would be seething from the chokeslam he'd received the week before from the Undertaker and thus attempt some sort of revenge. However, the Chairman handed out his first surprise of the night. When Zarel called out both Cartwright and the Undertaker, Jarel Damone announced the return of the Brothers of Destruction to challenge for the XCW Tag Team Championships. The Brothers showed off early why they're both multiple time tag team champions, easily overpowering and dismantling cartwright. But another surprise was in store. After Kane knocked Zarel off the apron to further isolate Cartwright, Zarel showed a spark of his old ways. He grabbed a steel chair and rushed into the ring, then demolished both brothers with it, and capped things off with a falling powerbomb to the undertaker as Cartwright busted kane open. But surprises were not over for the evening.
Samoa Dan, the WWCW World Heavyweight champion, appeared on XCW television and announced that WWCW was invading XCW. He was soon joined by WWCW Women's Champion, Janelle Damone, WWCW Hardcore champion, Krymzon Ghost, WWCW United States Champion, Tommy Duncan, and WWCW Tag Team Champion, Damien Ace. And one half of the XCW Tag Team Champions, Cartwright, appeared to be torn on his decision of which brand to join. But then came the arrival of the true XCW Loyalists, Saint Joey, Adam Mastrocola, and the triple crown champion, Zarel Damone. Just when it seemed XCW and WWCW fans were about to be treated to a six man clash of the brands, things erupted, literally.
Kane's pyros erupted on the stage and the Big Red Machine stepped out behind Zarel. Surprisingly, he merely grinned at the champion and proceeded down to the ring. But as Zarel might have been thinking he was safe, the lights went out, a gong sounded, and the fans cheered. The Deadman was here. when the lights came back on, Zarel recieved one hell of a beating at the hands of the Undertaker, while Kane went to work on the man who had busted him open earlier that night, Cartwright. Newcomer to WWCW, Jed, made his debut, attempting to intervene on Cartwright's behalf, only to be ignored temporarily by the Monster, who definitely saw evil in Cartwright. After dispatching the champion, the undertaker stepped into the ring to save Kane from teh intervention of Samoa Dan, long enough for Kane to send Cartwright flying out of the ring. After Dan helped Cartwright up and headed towards the back, most of the other WWCW Loyalists followed, except for Jed. While Krymzon ran off into the crowd and Janelle, Damien, and Tommy followed behind Dan, Jed went toe to toe with the Big Red Monster, catching Kane offguard and really taking it to the big man before being sent crashing to the mat with a thunderous chokeslam. As they watched everyone clear out, the brothers went into their classic pose, as always standing tall in their yard.
As you may recall, in the WWE/WCW/ECW invasion of 2001, the Brothers of Destruction were fairly important in the scheme of things, becoming the first men to hold both the WWE and WCW tag team championships at the same time. Given the dominance that hasn't stopped since then, one has to wonder if we'll see a repeat in the XCW/WWCW Invasion that has just begun, or if the Brothers of Destruction can top their earlier accomplishments yet again?

(Future reference, it's officially Damien Ace now.) Ace Attack XCW Magazine caught up one half of the WWCW Tag Team Champions Damien Ace. We had a short interview with "Fight Night" about what's coming up at Ground Zero. Interviewer: Damien, you used to wrestle in XCW. What happened? Damien: "XCW wasn't the place for me. As you know, that a*****e Jarel Damone had put me in a match with a guy that I said I never wanted to wrestle again just so I wouldn't have to deal with his arrogance." Interviewer: Also, I hear you're challenging WWCW's Champion, Samoa Dan. How do you think that match will go, considering the two of you are on the same team? Damien: "I don't care about Samoa Dan and me being teammates. There's a title on the line and I want it. I don't give a damn who I have to go. If I gotta drive the fat, pot-smoking b*****d on his damn face to win WWCW gold, then that's what I'll do. And one more thing..." *At that moment, Damien delivers the Four of a Kind to the interviewer.* Damien: "Every night's a fight for Fight Night."
