I was just scanning through the "introduce yourself" thread, and noticed that an awful lot of our members have pets.

So- tell us about them!

To start off- Terry and I have house-pigs... and by "house-pigs" I mean guinea pigs that are fully house-trained.
They have a cage they can retreat into, or sleep in at night, but generally speaking the little guys roam around our house free-range, they even have little litter-trays.

Kelly and I have two six-month old devil kitties. smile Their names are Remington and Winchester (Yes. . .after the hunting brands) and they are evil incarnate. They feel the need to destroy everything in our apartment within 24 hours. We recently put up Christmas stockings for ourselves and our two cats. We thought that we had put them up high enough so that the cats wouldn't be able to get at them but, lo and behold, we came home the next day and the cats had stretched them down to the floor. We put collars on them today for the first time in their lives and you should have seen them try to get them off! It was absolutely hilarious. I think they've adjusted now though. smile Winchester is a light gold with darker gold stripes running all over him. . .the kind of convene into a target on his sides. Remington is gray and white--the majority being gray and his feet and belly being white. They're absolutely spoiled. We went Christmas shopping for them today! We spent almost as much on them as we're spending on each other. xd Ah well. . .they keep it lively around here. smile

We have a white lab/golden retriever mix ... she's 7 years old named Copper. She thinks she's a cat but she also thinks she's human. She'll get on the couch whenever she wants. She doesn't care who is around.

The first of our two cats is Casper. Shes mostly white. She's 8 years old and still loves bringing in mice, lizards, birds, bunnies ... whatever she can get her paws on. She's a mean cat.

The other Milo, is my oldest sons cat so he mostly stays in his room. That's where Ayden likes to keep him, if he knows where to find him. We got him for Ayden for Christmas last year. He's still young and playful but he is a mellow cat.

And we have fish. We have a bunch of smaller fish and then one red tailed shark. The shark likes to chase the others around the tank. Funny to watch.

Love the house pigs! Very cute! And the names of the kitties (firearms buff here too)! Everyone has such nice critters!

Well in the pasture snacking on grasses right now are three goats. I bring them into the barn at night so no one worry about them getting cold! they're spoiled! One is an old nanny goat tht has a hoof problem and limps - she was given to us. The second is a goat we are goat sitting but will probably buy. It's nanny goats baby from last year. The owner asked if we would keep him for a bit and now he's my pet. He runs up to see you. He's a billy goat. the third is my favorite! Swamp foot (nanny goat) and Jethro (the other goat) and Sonny are all very sweet but Sonny is my favorite! He was bottle fed and is a runt. He' the size of most two month old goats but he's 6 months old. He thinks he's a dog and will run up to you wagging his tail. He's sweet! They all love loose tobacco and will stand up with their hooves on your chest looking for it in your jacket pockets. And Jethro will n** at you for attention. They don't have normal upper and lower teeth so it doesn't hurt but it scares you a bit. He likes to nibble seams in your jacket.

We have a kitty (Drop Kick or Miss Kitty - depending on who is calling her) that someone dumped here and we adopted. She's wonderful!

And last but not least we have two Norwegian Elkhounds - both under a year old. Smaug and Kele (regular names - registered names are long) are great dogs! They love the cold weather.

This spring we are supposed to get some chickens. smile

Well I technically have a dog. But hes at my parents house becasue we live in an apartment. I miss him dearly hehe.

But in May we adopted a kitten. Her name is Kisa though we tend to call her "Kiki-Kitty Girl" for some bizarre reason. Shes an oddball. She is constantly by my side, which isn't a bad thing. Usually she sleeps on top of my computer monitor or something while I'm on it. She enjoys playing fetch and tends to come into the shower when I'm washing (she usually doesn't if we're both in there). I've also caught her swimming in the sink.

She is 10 months old.

well we have kitties. many..kitties.. theres my two, Roxy and Midnight, and his 5, Klahan, Max, Bugsy, Princess, and Bandit. there were more. but the lanlord told them they had to get rid of some cats. Sorry its so long. i love our cats. heart

Midnight is about 8 or 9. she's all black. tiny, little petite paws. will let you pretty much do anything to her. VERY soft. and squeaks like a mouse. and when our house got broken into the cops had brought a police dog in the house and they thought we had a ferret. lol. no, she's a cat. (we also had a fat cat named oreo, but he died on feb 7th 2001)
User Image

Roxy is almost a year old. her mother is Bugsy. she is crazy...!!! and she's a ceiling cat. and BIG!! just like her uncle Hydrox, Bugsy's brother. 'nuff said. oh. and she has some of the same markings as our old cat Oreo. and she's getting big like him too. ok. oreo is named after the cookie, right? well my sister named Hydrox after the same kind of cookie, a knock off of oreos. and i named Roxy from the name Hydrox. they are/were black and white cats. this picture is her as a kitten, about a month or so old.
User Image

Klahan and Max are brothers and about 12 or so years old. Max is a scaredy cat. and the picture of him was the best i could do. he always hides.
User Image
and Klahan loves to be petted, but if you pet him too close to his ears he will shake his head and splatter you will spit.. Davids little sister bit his ears or something when he was a kitten..
User Image

Bugsy is one of the kittens from Mermaid, a stray cat my sister found who was pregnant. David had her sister, Pepper, but we had to get riod of her after she had her litter of 2 because she kept trying to steal kittens away. Bugsy had her 2nd litter a week after Pepper had her 1st. Roxy is the only cat left from Bugsy's first litter. David had her two brothers, Raptor Jesus and Mudkip, but yeah. they had to go. i like them so much, Raptor Jesus was basicly a dog. really. he played fetch.. anyways. bugsy is named Bugsy because her eyes are always bug eyed.
User Image

Princess is from Bugsy's 2nd litter..or Peppers..not sure. but she is small and very soft. acts like a princess too. very sweet..but its a front. she has her crazy moments like a 6 month old should.
User Image

Bandit, Princess' brother..or half brother.. he was one of my favorites from the litter. but he had seziers everyday. he's good now. he lived and he now is as hyper as every kitten is at his age. and he loves to jump at you. and will jump at walls and just slide down. very cute. him as a kitten..few weeks old.
