Kei Kurono is a typical high school student in a selfish world, not caring about anyone other than himself. However when, by chance, he was forced to help out his childhood friend, Katou Masaru, rescue a drunkard who fell into subway tracks, both he and Katou were killed... Or not. After being run over by the train, they were suddenly teleported to an enclosed apartment with others who recently died. And now their lives are controlled by a mysterious black ball inside the apartment called GANTZ, and they are forced to participate in a "game" of unprecedented danger and horror.
So far this doesn't sound like anything that would interest me right? But aside from them the 3rd main character is a girl named Kei Kishimoto. And there's a small amount of sexual attraction between these characters. Well, a lot of sexual and a bit of romance, considering in the first episdoe she's almost raped.
Anyways, this series sounds really intertesting to me, though I have yet to see it.

From reading what others have to say about it, I've gotten the idea thats it's really gory violent and sexual.
This really isn't what I normally watch, but there are always exceptions. Except I haven't watched it so that doesn't really make sense does it? I meant this usually isn't the type of series that would interest me. There we go. Thats what I meant.

Man! Finally somebody made a topic for this show! (I would write on but I don't have adequate knowledge to write my review just yet). I sw the first two DVDs back in June. Holy cow. Its bloodier than when Mike Tyson bit off Holyfield's ear (I saw it too). But its a great show. It is VERY graphic in a sense that there is a whole lot of sex, drugs, and violence, emphasis especially on the sex though. For crying out loud! The dog practically did the naughty with her (friend has a TV with good sound system. Grossed us out hearing the licking noises during the scene). Poor onion kid though. Felt sorry for him. The only funny thing that my friend and I ade fun of was how you can hear everybody's thoughts (which get sconfusing after a while). Try putting in you rown words insome scenes and let the funny ride.

OMG! I just did that and it was hilarious!
LOL, I laughed my head off at the dog part. Especially since dogs do that.
I hope Kishimoto ends up with Kato.
I hate how ADV only put 2 episodes per disc.

course i read a manga recently that had something along those lines happen; cept the dog was possessed...

ADV is very tricky like that. Putting only 2 episodes is pretty smart. But a rip off. I'll wait for the box set.
That damn dog..... And Mr. Japanese albino boy. That punk gets on my nerves. But the perverted Yakuza people and the perverted non-Yakuza kid all died. And that idiot of a teacher. Poor dog though. No points for him.

i was a few eps i downloaded and it was realli good all action from beginning to end the first epadoide was confusing and twisted but i like it mrgreen even though there's a lot of sex parts which isn't realli anithing bad because not all hentai is evil it's a preeti good anime i would tell one of mi friends to watch it

From what I've heard they haven't decided whether or not to just redo the whole series again lol

I got the info! They are releasing Vol. 7 with 4 episodes and the 3 DVDs proceeding, will feature 3 episodes each.
