The days had slowly passed until Alula wasn't sure how long it had been since she had ran into her leopard companion. Not that it mattered to much at the moment, there were more important things to worry about. Her dark eyes had taken in the scenery around the duo as she sway slightly with Kru's rhythmic pace. While she didn't want to admit it, she had grown quite accustomed to his gait. It wasn't too choppy, but smooth enough to where she could enjoy herself. While she felt bad at times for not walking so much, if he didn't mind carrying her than she wasn't going to object. At the very least, she thought that he enjoyed it.
While they had been traveling on their way to the beach, many conflicting emotions had started to arise in the ebony cheetah. Ones she were unsure about. She hadn't met many on her travel with Kru, in fact, it seems to have only been the two of them for the majority of the way. She didn't mind it, in fact, she relished the time she spent with Kru more and more. She cherished it, and was afraid to admit to herself that she was attached to the leopard, at the very least. His company was something she's been looking for, something she's been longing for. And, she didn't want their journey to end, she didn't want Kru to leave her. Everyone she had gotten close to had left her in the end, she didn't want to lose him as well.
With her head leaning slightly on his neck, she closed her eyes and took in a deep breath. His scent filled her senses as she smiled softly. It wasn't until she opened her eyes did she notice the changing of the scenery to something quite different. If she was not mistaken, it almost appeared like they were getting closer. The air was starting to get a different smell to it afterall. Softly, "The ocean might be upon us before we know it!"

In all honesty, the leopard absolutely felt at bliss with the female. Every time she smiled, his heart would flutter and he would smile back with a sheepish demeanor. Whenever she touched him, his fur would blaze red if it weren't for the darkness of his pelt. And when she slept beside him or did something he would never expect, it was his heart that skipped. The female was simply dazzling and everything she did seemed to tick something for him. She was so beautiful. She was so compassionate. She was so funny. She was playful. She was just so... there was no word to describe.
After the conversation he had with Trig, he was quite confident of what to do next. The feelings he got from her was perfect proof and what the lion had suggested he do was interesting of a thought to do. Mating a cheetah would be something new, actually, mating would be something. He was a virgin and he would shamelessly admit it. However, the question was if Alula felt the same way and even more so was she willing to? Though he doubted it, the thought was the furthest in his mind, his thoughts were on getting to the ocean and enjoying her company.
He raised his muzzle to the air and smiled. Glad he followed the same route he took from Trig's cove back to Alula. Being at the beach to start with, he knew his way there. There was no more detours. It was just the two of them and the ocean. How long they stayed was up to the female upon his back.
With a burst of speed, making the ride slightly rocky, he made a bee-line for the sands of the beach.
"And we're here!"

Ears perked forward quite excitedly as dark eyes settled on the bright sands of the beach. Alula was amazed at the sight! Never before had she encountered so much sand before in her life. She wondered what it felt like underneath her paws. It didn't look as solid to her as the grass where she was from, but perhaps it was deceiving? Either way, it didn't matter! Because, this meant that they could have some fun now! She curled her legs against his body as she held on to him as he raced to the beach. Once he was there, she had slowly slide off his back and landed in the sands. What awaited her was quite a surprise. The sand was so soft!
She pressed her paws to the sand as she looked at it curiously, and then raked a paw through it. Her gaze flicked back towards Kru with a bright smile, "We are!" It was an adventure she'd never forget, but not the last she wanted to do with Kru. Not at the very least. She wanted more time with Kru, she didn't want to think about being separated from him. With a playful smile, she nudged her head against his neck gently, "This is truly amazing, Kru! I've never seen anything like it before!"

Kru could only smile and find contentment in her laughter and happiness. She was happy and they were here together, that was what mattered. From the outskirts of the Pride Lands to the Ocean front, the journey was fun and they had bonded quite well, he was just glad it was her that was with him. At the very least he was not alone. "That we are..."
Kru paced out a few steps ahead of her to the shore. He unwittingly stood at the shoreline's crash zone, but the sky was changing colors and this time, no trees blocked his view. He let out a soft say before looking back at her. In this slight lighting, her fur just glowed an awesome dark gold color across her fur. It was... dazzling. What other word could describe her. Kru let a smile slip across his face before he flinched and yelped as freezing cold water washed over his paws, causing the male to jump away.
"COLD! COLD! COLD! COLD!" he shouted as he moved away from the shore and back to Alula's side with sandy paws. The blue leopard nipped at her chin to get her attention. "Is it just me or is it that I get wet when I am around you?" he questioned rhetorically as he shook his paws.

Dark eyes kept Kru in her sight as Alula stood there admiring the view. There was nothing like this in the main land. The ocean seemed to just go on forever and ever, as far as she could see. Not only that, there was just something magical about this place. An eyebrow raised as she couldn't help but giggle at Kru. He was just so adorable at times, and this was surely going to become another highlight of their adventure. At his n**, she gave him a playful grin, "Do you need to be warmed up?" She tilted her head slightly as she stuck out her tongue, "Water is not a bad thing, it makes me smile seeing you all wet!"
She walked a little towards the water and stopped at the very edge. She put her paws forward so that the incoming wave would roll over her toes. Once the wave came in, she couldn't help but let out a squeal of surprise. The ocean was freezing! They would definitely not be playing in it or else they'd get sick! What a shame, she was looking forward to it afterall. Turning to look back at Kru, she couldn't help but bound back to him. She leapt to take him down to the sands, hoping to pin him. Not at all caring that she was the lighter of the two. "Gotcha, Kru!"

Kru willingly fell over as his paws almost instinctively wrapped themselves around her, keeping her close to him. A soft purr escaped him as he nuzzled her softly. "I told you the water was cold, Alula, it would make us sick if we stayed in that for too long. I don't even think fish live in that!" he chuckled and rolled them onto their side. He looked at her as his fur became florid again. Touching. Smile. If being wet made her smile... then he would have gladly done so if he knew that before, but he was too content with where he was to go out into the water to get wet for her.
His sky blue eyes that once matched the sky was fading into the orange burning color of the setting some. It was almost time. He nuzzled her and whispered, "Turn around, you're going to miss the beautiful sunset, Alula... I wanted to come here to see this, I heard it was magnificent." He raised the paw that was on the top of her so she could turn and see her for herself.

A small chill went down her spine at his hug. Alula unconsciously purred as she was pulled closer to Kru. The feeling, it made her feel like her hairs were on end all over. It was different, something completely new to the ebony cheetah, but she enjoyed the feeling. The feeling was light and airy, very pleasant. With a smile, she wholeheartly agreed with what he said. They'd definitely do best to keep out of the water for now, she didn't want to get sick and ruin their fun afterall! Though, his statement made her wonder if that was true or not. Were there actually fish out in the water? Not that it mattered right now to her.
His words brought her back to reality, eyes widening in surprise. The sunset! Her head turned around to see a sight she'd never forget, that was for sure! Golden hues spread across the sky as far as she could see, the sun dipping down to the horizon. It almost looked like the ocean was swallowing the sun. The sight was truly breath-taking and she was left speechless at it's beauty. Her dark eyes watched the sun set lower and lower below the horizon, she also noticed stars starting to twinkle. How perfect was this? Seeing the sunset on the beach, and it starting to fade into her favorite time of day. She leaned into Kru as she said softly, "There is truly nothing like this anywhere. It's stunning," She paused before she whispered, "Nothing's more perfect than being here, at our destination and seeing the sunset together."

Kru smiled as he held her within her paws, his head upon her shoulders as they both witnessed a sight that would not be soon forgotten. It was quite curious how such a beautiful thing could exist and only out here where not many come to. It was a selfish thing, but it was worth the glimpse of it. The cool ocean breeze would blow over them with each crashing wave, his fur waving in the wind but needle straight at the feeling he was getting beside the female. The female that he cared for was between his paws, together they shared many moons together, getting to know one another and yet they had yet scratched the surface of themselves. Was there more? Will they meet again? he had planned on taking her back before continuing his journey... but Kru remembered how he talked about Alula when he spoke to another, so caringly... as if she was his mate or something. In some ways, she was, others not so. He let out a sigh and relaxed against her steady form. His legs brushed against hers and his tail thumped in the sand. A soft purr echoed through his body, vibrating against her.
He could have waited here for a life time. Here. On the beach. Sunset in view. And Alula beside him.
"Simply... extraordinary..."

Once the sky had started to darken and the sun was long gone from view did Alula turn her head back to Kru. In the nightlight, his bright blues stood out against the dark parts of his fur, especially accenting those blue eyes. She couldn't help but smile at the sight. At his purr, she returned it with her own before she set her head down against him. The breeze was gentle and cool, but it didn't matter since she was close to Kru. She closed her eyes and just inhaled his scent once more. She loved it, it was deeply etched into her mind and she'd always know his scent.
As she opened her eyes, she went forward to n** at his cheek. As she had done that, she flicked her tail against his playfully. "Kru, can I ask you something?" She wanted to know so badly what would come, but was too afraid to ask it. Rather, she had hoped through her actions and words during their travel, that she was expressing to Kru her happiness. There were times that she thought of him as her own, as a mate, and she was guilty of such thoughts. It felt a bit weird to think of him in such a light, but she told herself that she was just being silly. Kru was everything she looked for, and perhaps, she could make him happy? She wanted badly to be that one, the one to help fulfill his dreams. Even if she never bore cubs to another cheetah, she would be happy if she was with Kru. He grew on her in many ways, and unwittingly, into her heart.

Kru purred as he felt her nose press against him, sniffing him as he did the same against her forehead. Even he could smell his own musk, all males gave it off. He had lived with his so long, but it was still fresh to him. It always stuck out to him. The dark blue leopard chuckled and licked her forehead from the slight imprint he made of her fur. It was so... delicate, the fragrant was absolutely divine. So female... so elegant. It was bliss. He pulled her closer.
He wanted her. No more doubt in his mind, he wanted her to be his love. Surely his playful actions, his gestures of kindness, his sight signs of friendly affections, the way he talked to her... surely something from all of this appealed to her! He wanted to be with her, he could not care if he could never have a family. He wanted love, his heart called to him to take her wherever he went. To follow her wherever she went. Their destinies and fates intertwined into a single whole, never far apart and never too close to get lost in one another. It was selfish for him to deprive an honest cheetah of his wonderful breed of female. It was selfish of him to want her and deprive any leopardess of having him, not that any would. He could not care about how others would view their courtship, no one could destroy this utopic dream.
"Yes, Alula?" He asked, questioning what was it that she was wanting to ask.

Kru's lick made her purr softly, feel the slight vibrations against her throat. Alula looked at him, very much glad to have ran into him so many moons again. Her tail flicked again before she was thinking about how to phrase her question, while trying to get her real meaning inbetween the lines. Silence had elasped over the duo, what a sight they must have been. Besides their unqiue colors, it wasn't very often, if at all, that you ran into a cheetah and a leopard in such a position as they were in. It was almost unheard of!
Her dark eyes looked at him, "Kru, perhaps I'm being selfish in my wants and desires, but I can't help it. Could I be your dream?" Her heart was caught in her throat as she spoke, unsure of his answer. Sure, they were playful with one another, almost as if they were courting, but it was a bit on the hazy side since she didn't know what his view on the matter was. She didn't care if he was a wilddog, she'd love him regardless. She knew her father would approve, he wanted her to settle down and find a mate already. He's probably be wondering what took her so long in the first place! She brushed the thoughts away as she returned back to the leopard before her. "I might be a bit bold in asking, but I can't help but not wanting to be alone anymore. And, I don't want this to end, not in the very least!"

"Then... it shall be my honor to be with you forever as you promised me you shall not leave my side when we first met..." he licked her head and purred. He was going to be selfish. No cheetah would dare take her away from him or so they should face a wrath of a love stuck leopard. He was going to be selfless and give himself to this female, all those leopardesses have missed out when he tried to court them. No longer do they have to worry about finding him again for his was unavailable. Now and forever. He reached down and pressed his nose against her. Kru's long thick tail laying over hers. He did not want to be separated from her.
"I love you, Alula, you were right. I was right. I wanted you. I needed you. I cared about you. I love you," he purred. "I want you to be mine, I want you to be the love I have been seeking for so long. I need you to be with me, I don't want to be alone again," he sniffled a little as he remembered those times where he was often alone, shivering in the cold without any warmth to share. Those times when he wished he had someone to talk to about moments that were now long forgotten. Alula would be the one he was seeking, the female that he would loved. He knew it to be true that if he left the jungle he would find her. He held her closer, moving closer to her.
"Alula, I don't know what brought about this, my nose is a horrid thing and I cannot smell all that well. I don't know if it is your heat. I don't know if we are going crazy. But I love you, Alula, I want to be selfish, I want to keep you," he let out a whimper.
"Please..."

The ebony cheetah couldn't help but feel elated at Kru's words. They were magical, just as the sunset earlier had been. Alula was so happy. She shyly licked his nose, the meaning behind each gesture was different now even if they've done it before. She looked to him, "I had to keep my promise, but I didn't know if we would somehow separate along the way. I'm just glad it grew into something more, and that the feeling is mutual." With his bushy tail laying over her's, she couldn't help but smile. It was so nice, now that she had come to realize what her heart's been trying to tell her all this time. She didn't need a male cheetah to give her love afterall. She had found her happiness in Kru, and for that, she was just the happiness cheetah in the whole world! Softly, she wanted to say the words outloud, just as Kru got to say them. "I love you too, Kru!"
As he inched closer to her, she couldn't help but blush bright red at his latter words. Did it affect him the same as it did the male cheetahs? She didn't know if he would be affected, being a leopard afterall. She shyly looked at him, curious afterall, "I could feel it coming a few days prior to coming here. Does it affect you? I wasn't sure if you would be affected as much, since we aren't of the same species." With the blush still on her face, this was definitely new to her. When she had previously came into heat, she had to be extra careful. While it had only been one other time, she was completely terrified. She didn't want to get pregnant back then, she had just been an adolescence when it first started. But, she couldn't help but let her mind wander a bit. If they were not of the same species, and they loved each other, it wouldn't be wrong of her to be with Kru during this time then, since he was her mate now.

He pressed his maw against hers, thus his nose. He saw it as a way of a form beyond touching noses. He let out an erupting purr of delight as he kneaded her back with happiness, he just did not want to let her ago! He was afraid if he did, she would float away and he couldn't get her back again. Kru was happily content with where he was, this was where he would be for now and for many moons later. The droning sounds of the crashing waves were nothing. The shifting sands were soundless. The stars and moon were all they had to light one another.
"I love you, Alula... nothing will change that."
He laughed for her and smiled a sweet smile. "I am sorry, my nose has been bad since I fell out of a darn tree when I was little. Never been quite right since. But it can pick stuff up, just takes me a bit longer to do so," apparently, a few days it seems. He slide his paw down her back and moved it back into position, perhaps... this gesture was gonna push their budding relationship too far. "Maybe... because you wanted me to love you that your body adjusted to a scent I would know," he murmured. "I don't know if there is a difference, but it is the same. It means that any cheetah who mates you... will sire cubs. Now! We cannot have that!"
He kissed her again.
"Alula... may I show you how much I care about you? I-if I am rushing this, perhaps we could wait before we do something like this, I mean, I-I've never done this and I'll admit it that I'm sort of new at this. But something tells me that I should. I love you a-and I want to..."

With a playful grin, she shook her head. No, Alula didn't want any other male to find her now that her heat would be in full swing soon. Plus, she probably didn't have to worry so much with Kru around, but that didn't make her worry for him at least. Perhaps being at the beach would make them as far away from anyone as possible. She could only hope, right?
As he gave her kisses, she returned his gesture with her own little kisses. She giggled softly before her eyes went wide at his words, getting their hidden meaning. He wanted to mate with her, claim her fully as his own. She couldn't help but blush bright red at the thought once again. She was new, never having prior knowledge to what to do, but her father had told her knowledge didn't matter. That she should follow what she feels is right. With a playful grin, she reached forward to n** his ear playfully. "Waiting might not be an option for you because I could beat you to it!" She winked at him before she cooed softly, "If it means you get to me first, than I should think that you deserve it. Afterall, you carried me most of the way here, even though I could have walked. If anything, you have ever right to want it and I'm not about to deny it from you. We are, mates afterall, and that's what mates do, right?" She couldn't help but giggle softly, teasing him was fun but it'd surely pay off in the end.
