The small colt trotted near a barely trickling, icy brook, ears twitching this way and that at the sounds of the forest around him. Or rather, on the other side of the water, since he didn't really count the field with pin pricks of trees here and there part of the woods were light could now blare through the frost covered twiggy branches. He probably shouldn't have wandered from his parents, though thought little of it now that he was actually out and about and away from their hawk gazes.
What could Jaci say? He liked being reckless and in charge! It was a nice change of pace, that's for sure.
Choppy, short dark red mane was further ruffled by the mini-winds, a similar styled tail held high in proud banner. He might still be small, but that didn't seem a reason to him not to have a sense of self-pride. The dominantly dark coat stood out against the snowy ground, his light blue and white socks almost blending into his surroundings. If it wasn't for his hooves, he wondered if his legs might look to vanish in the snow entirely. Misty green eyes traveled over the ice and frozen rain, mildly interested in everything around him. So plain, so white, so... empty.
"So... what to do..." Of course, boredom was never a welcomed companion, but an unfortunate price to pay for his temporary freedom.

 He had been hoping to bump into a few more foals in the beginning of his life, but thus far, Sadiki had known nothing but ADULTS! boy, were they boring! The forest itself held many secrets, but since he spent most of his life so far there, he knew almost everything. Even the snow could not hide many things from him.
Trotting along the iced-over brook, he paused to munch off an icicle that hung from a tree branch. Munching contentedly, His ears perked at a sound.
A voice.
Swallowing the rest of the icicle, He snorted, replying to the voice, "There's a lot to do here, y'know."

Jaci jumped at the voice, startled by the fact he wasn't as alone as he'd previously thought. Not hoped, though. Seeing new faces was good, especially if they're from outside your family! So he turned on hoof and blinked once or twice to the other colt, giving him a quick appraising look-over. His coloring was interesting, that's for sure... and he seemed nice enough to approach... why not?
Jaci held his head at a respectful height as he approached the other, bowing it in greeting briefly. "Didn't know there was anyone else around here, or at least in earshot. Name's Jaci." Another bow of his head.
Straightening, he cocked his head to the side a bit, expression fading from calm and neutral to doubtful curiosity. "There's stuff to do? Like what?" His attention was at its peak, tail flicking in anticipation. What a lucky day this seemed to be turning into! First he's away from his family, now he's met someone new, and that new foal knew of stuff to -hopefully- rid him of boredom! Sucess!
