The filly smiled and rocked about in place some. She was staring up at Numair with very strange and mystical eyes. They were a purple-white color, and they glowed, like she was possessed or something. She obviously wasn't though, as she seemed like the happiest filly anyone could possibly imagine. From the looks of things, absolutely nothing was going on between the two, but that's because Kirishitsuno spoke telepathically. This little one kept saying one word, just one word to the Kiri in front of her, smiling in such a happy way, and moving to her own rockin' beat.
"Daddy! Daddy, daddy, daddy!"

Numair blinked down at the newborn Kirishitsuno. So she was what was inside the egg! He would never have imagined the young foal coming out of the egg if he hadn't seen it happen with his own eyes.
It took a moment for the little one's words to register in his mind. Daddy? She thought he was her daddy? Numair knew for a fact that they bared no relation by blood. For one, he had never met a female Kirishitsuno until this little foal was born. But he couldn't bare to tell her she had the wrong idea.
What was he supposed to do now though? Numair knew absolutely nothing about taking care of a foal. "A-Are you hungry?" he asked, uncertain.

"Daddy?", she questioned, looking at him. She wasn't quite sure what he had said, so she simply repeated herself. Plus, she didn't know much more than the one word she was speaking. She was a newly hatched filly after all. Just to be on the safe side, she started to smile again and bounce, hoping that this was the answer that the large white and red Kiri in front of her was looking for.
"Daddy, daddy!"

"I guess one thing I need to do is to teach you other words, huh?" Numair asked, mildly amused at the little one. How was he to ever know her name if she could only say "daddy?" He glanced around the area of the forest they were in. "But first, I think some food might be good." Think was the important word in that statement. He couldn't even be sure that the little foal was even hungry right now.

The little one blinked some, looking at Numair, wondering what he was doing. She looked out at the forest herself, trying to see what he was seeing, still not getting. She cocked her head some, still sitting in the same spot she had been when the mist cleared.
"Daddy, dad-" A low rumbling sound cut in. The filly looked down at her stomach, giving it the same questioning look that she had given Numair. Was what the odd sound? Why was it coming from her? "Daddy?"

Numair turned back to the little foal when he heard a grumble coming from her. It certainly sounded like she was hungry after all. "Wait right here," he told her before he trotted off into the forest.
Food, food, food, he thought as he wandered around, looking for something that he could give to the little foal. After some time of searching, he came across a bush with berries. Those would be tasty. He snapped off a branch and carried it in his mouth back to where the young foal awaited him.

She blinked, sat there, and waited. She still wasn't sure as to what Numair had said to her, but she simply stayed in her spot and waited for him to come back. Hopefully, he was going to bring back something that made her stomach stop rumbling. It was very odd and very annoying. Plus, it was loud, and she didn't like that.

Returning to the spot, Numair found the little foal had remained where she sat. That made him smile. It seemed she understood what he had meant by "wait right here." Either that or she simply couldn't walk yet. In any case, he was glad that she hadn't gone wandering off somewhere.
"I brought a snack for you," he explained, trotting up to her. He bent his head down, offering the branch with the berries for the young foal to eat.

She extended her neck out some, nosing the branch that held the berries. They smelled alright, and they looked quite nice too. She looked up at the white and red Kiri, giving him another questioning look. Before he could of had the chance to respond though, she decided to take one of the berries off of the branch, brining it back to her little circle. She dropped it on the ground and merely looked at it, waiting for it to do something.

"You're supposed to eat it," Numair explained, trying not to laugh at the young foal. There was a good chance that she didn't even understand what he was saying. Demonstration then was probably the best idea, he decided. He placed the branch down on the ground before he plucked off one of the berries. Lifting his head, he held the berry in his teeth, showing it to the foal. Then he ate it. "See? It'll make your tummy stop grumbling."

She watched him closely, watching how he took a berry, much like she had done, and... Done something... In his mouth to where he disappeared. She blinked a few times, replaying it in her head. Now, it was her turn. She had to do exactly what he did.
So, looking down at her berry again, she picked it up in her teeth, trying her best to mimic what her 'daddy' had done. She tried some weird movements with her mouth, hoping that it was doing what it was supposed to be. Then, she did something really weird... Like.. An automatic response or something. She opened her mouth, and the berry had disappeared. All happy and excited, she rocked back and forth in her spot, looking quite pleased with herself.

Numair smiled proudly when he saw the foal had eaten the berry. She learned quickly. Bending down, he nudged the branch toward her, hoping she would eat some more, now that she understood what to do, until she filled her tummy. After that, he supposed he should teach her to walk. After she had those basics down, he would have to teach her more words to speak.
