Well, a while ago I was a vice-captain for this girl's guild and after a little while she decided she didn't want a guild so she gave the guild to me. I made it a Warriors guild but I decided that I wouldn't be able to handle it well enough. So after posting her a bit and looking around, I realized that I want to make an all females guild also. I love this guild sooo much and I'll still be active here but I was wondering if anyone had any advice about owning my own all girls guild?? I would love any help I can get.

Um... Well, to be honest all the guilds I have owned have failed [mostly due to lack of time on my part]. A while ago I was interested in opening my own guild, but then I decided it would be my ambition to become a mod at the PPS. ninja

Anyway, to own a guild, you have to be dedicated. You have to come every day for a while in the beginning. You have to have things that are attracting to other Gaians. Advertising is very important. There are things every good guild needs to have. For an all-girls guild, it's really built on trust. It has to be a warm, welcoming envrionment where girls feel safe.

First off...I must ask...Do you feel you are prepared for it? I spent about 9 hours a day during the summer for about 2 months advertising and modifying trying to make this guild as close to perfect as possible. It was really hard and only made my OCD worse ><. It is fun and fulfilling. I'll tell you that much. It just isn't easy. Especially in the beginning.

User Image♥Life's tough.

It would take tons of hard work, and alot of your time advertising, like previous persons said.
And for a few months, your time on Gaia would be absolutely dedicated to advertisting and working on the guild. Creating a warm enviroment for girls to feel welcome and comfortable.

I was thinking of starting my own guild awhile ago, but I didn't want to, cause then it would be like abandoning all of the guilds I really love. Like the PPS, and another guild I go to alot. (It's a fan guild. Guess the characters from a game in my signature. That's what that guild is based off of.)

But if you decide to start your own.
I wish you the best of luck.

Thanks for all the help. I think that I will be very busy with my guild very soon. I think I'm prepared for the guild, I have a lot of friends that are girls that are willing to help me adveritise a whole bunch.

Winter Break is coming up for me, I'll have plenty of time to work on it then. With no homework... I can have my friends come over to my jouse and we all can work on making it better and stuff.

Again, thank you for all your advice and help!!

You shouldn't hire a vice captain that you don't know and trust. Vice captains have a lot of power within a guild, and if you place someone as your vice captain that you don't know, he or she could potentially destroy your guild. You should start off with members and after a while, you can promote a few to moderators.

Technically, you don't even need to have a vice captain. Some guilds have a mule set as captains, and then the actual guild starters are vice captains. This is in case the captain is banned or leaves for a long period of time - everything within the guild is still accessible [for the most part] to a vice captain. That was the original reason why vice captains were created.

Don't look for a vice captain simply because you feel you should have one. What was your intention in having one?

Find people you can trust. D'x

And for advertising, grand opening contests are usually a pretty good attracter. Sometimes adding random people based on their interests is enough to start something.

Back when my guild was quite active we advertised as much as we could. =)

I'm thinking of changing it a bit and getting it more active again. surprised

Well, I don't think I can handle a guild all by myself so I was wanting someone to help me and stuff. I got my friend Paige to be a vice-captain and then I have a girl that is a vice-captain and she is very nice and is helping a lot with the guild. My guild is making progress now!!
