Just a heads up, this thread talks about something possesion-like.
In the middle of the night, somewhere around 3am, I was sleeping, in a non-REM state. In other words, I wasn't dreaming about anything.
Then all of a sudden, WHAM. It felt like some... thing of energy violently slammed into me.
It felt really powerful. If it didn't make me feel like a noisy, flailing, insane, destructive animal I probably could've made a very decent psiball, to say the least.
Obviously I didn't want this thing in me, so in my mind I stepped back into a calmer place, and the feeling died down. (This is how I've dealt with it in dreams. I figure if the thing is trying to posess me, and it's full of bloodlust and insanity, then it probably can't stand being in a person who feels calm and serene. Heh.) I could still feel it, but it didn't have any control over me like it did before. Thankfully, it's gone now...
Now, I think I should note that I've had possesion dreams before, but nothing nearly as vivid or as powerful as this. I felt wide awake.

So, how do you know it wasn't a dream?

Because of how it felt. My dreams always feel foggy to me, even my nightmares. This didn't have that "foggy" quality to it.

Do you feel somewhat different, a little lost or maybe just a headache right now?
Do you feel like there is still something inside of you or is totally gone?

I don't feel any different, no. It's completely gone now.

Well, unlike most everything else recently, you've caught my interest. I hate to be rude, but go away ChiyuriYami. You're grasping for something that doesn't pertain to this.
A few questions I have for you. Did you have a clock nearby that you could confirm the time? If not, where are you getting this from?
When you say a thing, was it foreign or familiar?
Was the topic of Psi or anything related in your head before it happened?
(Too tired to have better questions or be very much friendly. Going to bed soon.)

I did have a clock nearby, but I didn't look at it until after it was over with, I dozed off, and I woke up again. It said 3:33, and it didn't feel like I was asleep for very long, so I guessed somewhere around 3:00.
It was definitely foreign. In fact, it was hard to put my finger on what it felt like for a while because I could hardly think of anything to relate it to.
I wasn't thinking about anything psi-related. I was just sleeping before it happened.

I was just sleeping before it happened. How are you sure you weren't dreaming? Can you specifically remember falling asleep again? You see, considering the fact you dozed off and woke again to find the time, you could have been dreaming, had a nightmare and woke up. If I were having trouble falling asleep until that late, something startling like that would have jarred me pretty bad. I wouldn't be able to doze off and wake up within 30 minutes, let alone close my eyes for very long and I would check the clock within that time frame. There was also no stimulus to wake you up at 3:33 so if you truly were tired enough to fall asleep after that, the odds of you re awaking are slim. I'm not saying your lying, I'm just saying there is a high probability it was a dream. However, if I overlooked something, let me know.

I'm not saying your lying, I'm just saying there is a high probability it was a dream. However, if I overlooked something, let me know. Alright, I should have been more detailed. When it started, I was asleep, and the sudden burst of energy brought me closer to the awake state. The state between waking and dreaming. I've had quite a few lucid dreams, so I've gotten used to knowing what that's like. I've even managed to meditate in my sleep a few times. Sometimes I'm aware of my own hearbeat and I can feel how my own blood is circulating in my body. Once I was even aware of my own snoring. It was like listening to someone else snore but being able to feel it at the same time... and all the time I was just sleeping, sitting in my mind, peacefully. So, during the whole incident, I was in this in-between state. Once I got rid of the thing for the most part, I lost my awareness that I was asleep, and began having a normal dream. Then, in the dream, I regained lucidity, and forced myself awake to look at the clock. It could have been a dream, yes. But none of them have ever felt that real to me.
