I sure can use Reidar... or I think I might use Vinj as his name because really I call him Zev... but his full name is Reidar Devlin Saxen pirate either way the first name can change cause I haven't fully decided on it yet except for the last two parts of the name.

And I thought my char names were confusing. O.o
Shall we meet portside or on the open seas?

"AND STAY OUT!" Lmai was tossed very uncerimoniously to the cobblestones outside the Daem Tavern. The wet stones slipped out from under her feet and she landed hard on her rear. Of course, it didn't help that she wasn't sober, so getting back up was a bit of a problem. Once she'd stood up, she yelled back inside "Oh yea? Well I don't need your dirty ale anyway!" She tried to turn around to walk off, but once again was defeated by the wet pavement and landed on her side.
Ah hell, I left my moneybag in the-- CLANG. A small pouch connected with the back of her head sharply, pitching her forward. It took her a few minutes to stand this time, and by now she'd gathered a smirking crowd. "Aw, what're ye starin' at?" she snarled at one maiden. Either Lmai's canines scared her off, or her breath reeked that badly of ale. It was hard to tell, but the girl immediately turned and fled. Lmai picked up her coinbag and tied it to her belt. "Blasted, I'm damn near broke..." She lifted the bag slightly, noticing only the weight of a few coins. "I'm gonna have to eith'ah ge' a job... or qui' drinkin..." She smirked slightly. "Le's see which come ferst."

: A man about 6'9 or 6'10 appeared at the top of a gang plank. "Okay crew!! We're porting for two nights!! That means you get beds if you got gold!! Other wise you're sleeping on the ship as usual like I am!" He said rather loudly and robustly. His voice was a deep baritone, with a bit of gravel tone to it. He walked down the plank and stood on the dock. "Enjoy your nights crew!!! Pillaging is not an option here since we're staying more than one night."
He wore a plain white long sleeved shirt tucked into a pair of dark blue pants which were tucked into knee high leather boots with a gold bracer around the calf. His eyes were dark blue, and his hair mid back length, black, and held up in a high ponytail. He tucked his right thumb into his main black belt, and another belt, slung sideways from his right hip to his left thigh held his sword. The sword was a rather large single edged blade. He rested his right hand on the hilt as he strolled up the dock onto the cobble stone path looking for a place to check out.

As well as being broke, being kicked out of the Daem meant that she also had no where to sleep. Lmai rubbed her sore hip as she walked up the street. Maybe the ships were looking for hire-ees. They always needed a hand or too when these bigger ships came to dock. However, not many of them hired women -- stupid superstitions. Lmai was just as good with dhinghy as any other sailor in this port.
She was distracted from her silent ravings when several young men rushed passed her. They smelled of sea and pickles. Obviously these men had been out on the open sea for quite some time if they'd been reduced to their pickle rations. Most captains reserved those as a last resort. It was strange how her drunken mind could still deduce so cleverly. If these fellows still smelled of pickles, then they must've just docked. Perhaps she should just try the ships. Maybe it'd be her lucky day.
Tossing her white braid over her shoulder, Lmai set out to the docks, the heels of her boots clacking against the cobblestones. Her long-sleeved shirt was a deep crimson color, and her corset was tied on outside, much to the stares of men and the city's upper class. The ends of her sleeves were contained by leather wrist-guards. Her pants were dark and stopped just above the top of her dark leather boots. A flintlock pistol was tucked into her belt. Her amber eyes began searching up and down the docks when she arrived. Wind from the ocean swept some of her white hair into her eyes and she swiped it away annoyed. Somewhere in the back of her head, the part of her that was still thinking clearly said that it probably wasn't in her best interest to show up drunk when she began looking for a job. But hey, she was drunk. She didn't hear the voice.

: He finally set foot fully on the path after all of his men were gone, the youngest a thirteen year old approached him. "Yes Christopher my boy? What's the matter."
"I don't have gold and I haven't slept in a bed since I was ten... Can I... Can I..." The boy stuttered, no one had ever asked the captain for anything but rations and orders.
"Okay listen, you don't have to sleep on the ship." He said looking around. "Since you're my youngest and my hardest worker, Yes I've seen the way they work you." He said he pulled out his satchel. "Well here... This should hold you over for the next few nights." The boy ran off happy with the twenty gold pieces. "Do not tell them I gave that to you!!!" He said as he stood up right and spotted the woman just a few feet away. "M'lady how may I be of help?"

M'lady? There's a new term. Lmai looked over at the man's direction. "Ye a captain, lad?" She raised a whitened eyebrow.
A note about her hair. Lmai isn't old. In fact, she's barely even into her 20s. She doesn't remember much about her youth, however, whether it be self induced or simply brought on by a combination of recent alcohol binges and trauma to the head.

: He nodded and spoke quickly. "Yes but don't call me lad... I may only be 21 but still... I'm not a boy by any means." He said as he looked her up and down. "You like a pirate... which crew are you with? I've never seen a woman dress like that except for on the seas." He said as he laced his arms against his chest.

She smirked. "Ye've got a good eye, sir." She bows her head to him a slight. "I've sailed wi' a pirate or two in me day, Captain."

: He shook his head and watched her a bit . "Don't call me captain. My name is Zev, well that's what my crew calls me." He said as he looked back at his ship and then past her. "So why are you looking around the ships if you've got a crew?" He asked tilting his head.

"Tha's th' thing, Zev," she said, trying to keep up with what he wanted to be called. The name was smooth on her toungue. She liked it. "I don't have a crew. Me last ship sailed out wit'out me. Lef' me here in dis port t'fend fer meself." She looked the man over. An easy name, and easy on the eyes to boot. "Ye wouldn' happen t'be hirin', wouldya?"

: He looked back at the ship, his left hand resting on top of his hilt. "Well..." His right hand rubbed the back of his neck. "I suppose I can hire a new crew member, what can you do? My navigator needs a bit of help since he mainly pilots the ship and doesn't do well with maps or a compass... I've been having to read those. Can you do that? Oh and we only drink on trips when we find treasure or new land." He said, he'd noticed the smell right off, but he couldn't turn her down seeing as how she seemed to be holding the liquor and her figure.

"Navigation, eh?" She considered it for a bit. She'd helped on her last ship a bit with map reading. It wasn't too dificult. "Sounds like ye've got yeself a navigational assisstant," she said, a grin returning to her face. "An' duncha worry yer lil' head about me an' me ale. We part company soon aft' I part the land."
