Personally, I don't know much about those two, um, demons I guess you could call them, but I'd like to learn more because I think I saw an incubus in a dream a month or so ago and it really shook me up. I'd rather not see another. So maybe more info would help...

I have a bit ofexperience from them. are you sure it was an incubae? or just another demon or spirit?
there are certain things that I've found that work. but I'm not sure if it's just a personal thing. first and foremost is mental strength, and identifying that it is a succubae/incubae. then you should not make eye contact, and there are some more advanced things, but my brain hurts, right now.

It is my understanding that Incubi and Succubi are demons that cause you to masturbate late at night, have nocturnal emissions, and have rape-related nightmares (at least the Roman Catholic Chuch belives this, as they find masturbation and nocturnal emissions sinful).

Incubi and succubi don't cause you to masturbate or have wet dreams!! It's true the Church once used that as an excuse as to explain why their body acted against what they thought was the 'Way of God'. But they're natural things everyone does. Rape dream could be cause by them I guess, but most stories go that they tease the human into willingly having sex with them.

I see... Yeah.. The church did start that kind of strictness around the time that they became the fundamentalist government of the Old World. However, I'm not entirely sure that the demons actually willingly tease Humans into wanting them and consumating.... I have heard by a demonologist that a succubus often imprints herself into a man's mind by making him dream of an insanely beautiful woman whose image remains even after waking.. he cannont get his mind off of her and eventually is driven by his own hormones into masturbating. The "essence of his semen somehow sustains the demon and can actually cause her to procreate a half-Humnan/Half-demon child." I quoted what I had heard, so don't take it as a bad thing.... Still, it's scary sounding to me.

I mean the teasing in sort of 'Hunting' sense. It would be more 'fun' for that to hunt that just to take.
As for the half-demon child, it's a theory that incubi and succubi are the same demon that can change it sex. It then collects the semen and uses it to impregnate a human woman, this was once believed to cause the child to be born a witch. Personally I don't see how this would work or why a demon would choose to do this.
As for sustaining themselves I heard it was from the sexual energy released using climax that the incubi or succubi fed on. Then again different legends different reasons.

I think it is likely that the Incubus/Succubus beings can be traced back to the Akkadian Lilitu. The Lilitu is also mentioned in the Epic of Gilgamesh.

I don't know, but the thought of them is rather disturbing. How are you supposed to report rape to the authorities? "HELP I'VE GOTTEN RAPED BY A DEMON WHILE SLEEPING!!" Seriously...

I'm terrified of these things. If I ever saw one, I think I'd drop dead.
And after my last experience with what I think was a demon (not sure, but there's a post about it in the help and questions forum), it's hard to even get to sleep now.

One night my little brother woke up to some kind of face right in front of his. He was terrified and started screaming. My whole family woke up. I was right down the hall and I jumped out of bed. My older sister beat me there but I saw the whole thing. His eyes were open, and the air was cold and thick. My sister ran into the room and was yelling and shaking him, but he was staring wide-eyed at the air right above his face and kicking and screaming, "IT WONT GO AWAY!! IT WONT GO AWAY!!" He didn't stop until my sister pulled him off the top bunk and smacked him. But even then he was shaking and mumbling. The first thing he did was look back over his shoulder to the top bunk. There was nothing there but he seemed really shaken up. So he slept in my room that night. And ever since then, he cant sleep without the hallway light on and his door wide open. Though most of the time he just sleeps in the living room anyway. My mom said that it was a demon. And my brother wont talk about it and gets pale when someone mentions it.
