Did they just know that she would return?
He started his patrol early in the morning, and even though he wasn't a scout, he still kept an eye on things when he went out hunting. He wanted to catch something for his mother this morning, and his smaller sibilings by default. His red eyes scanned the horizon behind him, the giant rock that the Royal family called home, the array of caves all around it. The rolling hills....okay, now his mind was just rambling. He turned to continue his walk, trying to follow behind the herds as quietly as he could.

Black paws hit the soft earth with speed as Jina tore through the Savannah. Her eyes were fixed on Pride Rock, the center of the Pridelands. Sen's words ran through her head as they gave her a new found hope. She would find Feo, she had to. She had been gone far too long. The sudden feeling of guilt ran through her, but she shook it off.
Her eyes narrowed, and she speed up, leaving her doubt behind her.

Feo's eyes caught the site of a black figure. He initially shrugged it off as someone else in the pridelands. Probably that black scout, Ruffian, that he had run into a while ago when on one of his hunting trips. But a nagging sensation made him give the figure a second look. He had always still held at least a bit of hope that she would return.
Though, the tail....the tail. That was something that Ruffian definately didn't have. It was...a pinkish colour?
Jina?!
Instead of rushing over, though, he merely switched his route, leaving the trail that lead to the borders to where he saw the lioness running. If it wasn't Jina, then, well, he'd figure something out, but if it was?
His heart skipped a beat.

Jina squinted as her eyes came across a golden figure. He sported a burnt-red mane. Could this be him? She did remember the color, but had she been gone that long that he had grown so much?
A large smile came across her lips as she picked up her speed once again. "Feo!" She called out. This was not the time to be shy, even if it wasn't him, she was sure that he'd be able to help her find the one she was looking for.

"Jina?" he called out, a bit cautiously. Was it really her? Had she really returned? Or was this just one of the dreams he had had for so long?
It sure felt real, so he'd go with that. It was real.
"Jina, is that really you?" A stupid question, but he couldn't help but ask it. It had been so long, too long, but really!
He soon picked up his pace to reach her sooner, just so he could confirm it with his own eyes. She had returned!

It was him!
She'd recognize his voice anywhere, it'd been sounding in her head since she had left the Bahari'mtoto Lands.
She jumped lightly until they finally reached. "Feo I'm so sorry I left." She rested her neck in the side of his mane in a hug. She started to shake lightly from fear. Fear of what he would say or do.

Feo's body grew a bit stiff when she rested her neck next to his own. The only thing in the way was the thick mane that had grown. Woah woah...s-she was touching him! Already? Nerves wreaked through his body as he tried to gather up his thoughts again, since her actions had caused them to scatter like leaves on the wind.
"Jina..." he said softly, realising that her shaking was from something like fear. "Can I just ask...one thing?" He was sure that she already knew what he was going to ask. Ask why she left without saying anything to him. And being gone for so long. "Why did you do it?"
He chose his words carefully, making sure he said them with care and a longing to understand just why she did what she did.

She backed away, and looked down in shame.
"My...my brother found me, and he..he brought me to my mother." She lowered her head, "I hadn't seen her since I was a cub, the excitement of seeing her took over, and..." She shook her head and whispered, "I'm so sorry.."

Feo's tail flicked behind him, his head cocked to the side as he looked over Jina, consuming the emotions that were written all over her body. It was obvoius that she was really upset with what she had done, and...was scared? Of him? He hoped not. He was past the point of feeling any bit of bitter emotions about it. The best part was that she had returned.
"So you found your mother after all?" he asked, a bit excitedly. That would be wonderful news if she indeed had found her mother, and was finally able to see her again.

Her ears perked lightly, and she lifted her eyes to look at him. "I did, and I was able to watch her give birth.." She was a little surprised at his question. She half expected him to not talk to her, but the exact opposite had happened. Sen was right. She smiled and lifted her head, her body stopped shaking.
"It was so beautiful too. The cubs were so adorable and small.."

"Oh, so now you have little sibilings as well? Then we have one more thing in common!" Feo grinned, pleased that while she was able to still spend time with her mother, that she came back to see him. That was all his mind could really wrap around at the moment. She was back!
Feo took a step towards her, noticing that her body had slowly stopped shaking. That was a good sign, maybe she realized that he wasn't mad at her at all. "Jina...you know I am not angry at all, right?" He gave her a reassuring smile with his comment.

She nodded, "Yeah, I know." She said as she eased into a more comfortable position, "So what have you been up to?" She asked as she looked him up and down, "You sure have grown a lot."

Oop. That comment made his cheecks flush for a moment. "Well..." how was he to answer? He didn't want to mention that he had been waiting for her for months, even in the beginning wanting to run out into the rogue lands trying to find her. Thankfully his mother talked him out of that, but it still wasn't easy for him to wait for her. He had eventually grown on to wait for her, but also pick up the rest of his life.
Now with her return, what would he do? What would he even tell her?
"Well, nothing special," he brushed off his thoughts. "Moved out of my family's cave to my own...been learning how to hunt, I'm getting good at it! And just was waiting for you, to tell you the truth..." He looked away, behind her, to where she had come from. The rogue lands, lands that he'd never know, but he was fine with that now.

She smiled lightly when me mentioned that he moved out of his parents and learning to hunt.
"My father taught me how to hunt. One of his lessons that will stay with me forever." She said. When she heard the mention of waiting for, her ears flushed. It was a trait she gained from her father. Thankfully, her ears were already a shade of pink, so it wasn't too noticeable.
"You...you've been waiting? This whole time?" She knew she had been gone, but he waited all this time? Was it possible that he had some feelings for him like the one's she developed for him?

"Well...y-yeah," he said, his voice slipping a bit when she had questioned him. He...had. And he wasn't going to lie about it, either. "I mean, you just sort of left, and well..." he thought shyly to himself that his mind sure made her seem wonderful, and now that she was back? Even moreso. "I just really wanted to see you again, Jina."
Well, he sort of admitted it there. As close as he was going to get right now. "But now that I can see you again, Jina, I hope...I hope we can spend more time together." Did that sound too forward? Too...childish? He really didn't know, just hoped that she would take it right.
