Results!Winner -- Kitsuta 2nd place -- kyrana kirri tied for 3rd-- Zelyhon & Kai Both the judges liked all of the RPs. I guess we shouldn't be surprised that you're all smart and creative! And I'm also not surprised that none of you met the deadline. xp Penden's comments Kitsuta's was the RP that I would join if I had to pick between the four. It was the most developed in terms of world and where the plot was going to go next. I also felt it was more creative, although that's some prejudice on my part towards fantasy RPs. Kyrana's was explained in an interesting manner, and organized, but I had no sense of what character to make. I like the norse mythology worked in (I know that's a fan RP). Zelyhon's organization hurt my brain. But it was well written and got me interested-- and I knew what kind of character I would make. And cyberpunk is really gutsy! Kai's had great organization. You knew where to find all the information, and having it in its own guild was a nice touch. Good idea, but it was poorly written. ^^;; It sounded like, if he could just get it across better, it was a better idea than it seems right now. ----------------------------- Alright, guys! It''s time for a little activity in this guild, so we''re having a contest! It is open to ALL guild members. Theme: Design the best RPG evah! Requirements: Setup: You must have an introduction post that explains the world/genre/etc. to your RPers.
Characters: You must have NPCs/your character set up.
Background: The basics are: who are your bad guys and why are they the badguys? Any additional information on your world is a big plus because it can feed into your plot.
Plot: write out or explain at least 3 possible situations that the characters would run into.
Rules: You can base it off an RPG that is running but you must create something new.
You CAN work in groups! If a group wins, one of our contributors promises to match the prize money so that every group members gets that amount. For instance, if the first prize is 5,000g and a group of three wins it, each member in the group will get 5,000g.
When you are ready to submit your RP, show us exactly how it would look in a thread. That means, if you would use 5 posts to set it up, then set it up in five posts. Put the stuff you wouldn''t show to the RPers in your last post (the sixth post in this example). We will give you a place to do all this.
Two entries max per person; one entry as an individual and one with a group.
Prizes: So far this account has 6,300g. If you would like to donate an item or gold to this contest, send a trade to this mule. The number of prizes and the amounts will change whenever we get donations. First Place: 5,000
Second Place: 1,300

Woohoo! I'm in. I can probably pull it out full form in a week. (Test Forum is your friend *_*) Is there extra points for putting in the effort to "graphic up" the posts' look so it gets more attention from RPers than a mass of text would have?

Yes, I was seriously toying with that idea. xd Like extra credit just for making it look appealing and readable. Obviously someone who posts 1000 words in a single block of text is going to be at a disadvantage to someone who organizes their information and makes it pretty. What good is the info to your players if they can't FIND it? This contest focuses mostly on plot/setup, but technical aspects like that will not be ignored. ---- I don't know if we should flood the test forum. But then if you want to actually START the RPG outside of the guild after the contest, then I can move the RP to Barton for you when it is ready. But if you want it inside the guild I can't move it from the test forum to here, or vice versa. And if you don't want to start it at all... Maybe you should just do it in here and put a note in there that it's for the contest and it's not an actual RP. I can even lock the thread for you if your thread is inside the guild, so that no one else can post in it. If you want any of these special mod things done, post here and give me a link to your thread.

I might actually make my RP a real one... I'm not sure yet @_@ It's coming out slowly, but I'm happy with what I have so far... which counts, I guess ^-^;; Not done yet though... hopefully by next week... Never rush good things, after all 3nodding

Euphoric Ghost Haha yeah... I don't know what to dooo, and I hear the new guild system will have a dice roller... Ooooers. Oh gak.... that'll ruin literacy forever, people will roll dice instead of playing realistically. You will dodge things just because the dice say you can, even if there's no real way to move out of the way in time without getting in something else's way! Things wil hit you even if you should have been able to get out of the way, because the dice say you didn't se it coming, even if you were facing them!! @_@ I despise online dice sweatdrop
