Something that Arun had noticed, was that he was not very small anymore. Unfortunately, he was still SMALL, but he wasn't a complete speck to the world. His body had finally grown, and things looked a little better from his view point. His body felt kind of sore, and that only added on to his usual grumpiness. He wasn't used to these longer legs, and to his bigger stomach! He was complaining, and yet he was thankful at the same time. It was also nice to finally be away from his stupid family, and that fact alone made the Usdia laugh to himself.

His tail swished as he walked along a forest path, and his ears flicked back and forth at any strange noises around him. He felt oddly at peace, but he would never admit to that. He was so used to his brother or his sister bothering him that the silence was something completely new to him! He had also never communicated with anyone outside of his family, and as a child only watched other Soquili. It didn't really bother him that they were bigger, it only annoyed him since they took up more space!

With a shake of her mane, Kyubi remained partly hidden by the shadows and partly blinded by the bright sun. Wanting to hide within the shadows, she was uncomfortable and unfamiliar with the bright rays that the sun inflicted upon others. For as long as as she could remember, the shadows had always been her home. Where one could move stealthily without attracting the notice of others. To adjust to the sun, wasn't going to be easy.. Than again, who said it would?

Taking a hesitant step forwards, ".." Her eyes blinking, as she tried to adjust to the sun. However, in a frustrated sigh, she moved onto a somewhat shadier area. It would take some time after all. She would need to stick the shade after all.

After a few moments of rest, she continued on, as she headed in no particular direction, she took the time to admire her surroundings. Lost in her thoughts, she realized that those days had been long past her, since she had arrived to these lands. The atmosphere appeared to be rather peaceful and tranquil, It was quite an adjustment. While wandering, she hadn't encountered any other horses like her. It made her wonder, "Is there ANYONE else here?" She was tempted to say out loud. But it wasn't like she wanted company either. She was doing fine on her own.

It was a strange coincidence, since Arun was POSITIVE he heard something. With lowered ears, he sniffed at the musty air, before creeping around the area himself. What the hell did he hear? Was it one of those bigger horses? Arun was starting to get curious, and yet angry. He just assumed that his company was someone that he wouldn't like, since that was usually the formula to his life.

Increasing his pace suddenly, he set out like a hunter, until he finally saw something... yellow, in front of him. Yellow? And.. small? He didn't want to startle the thing, but as he crept closer, he realized it was another Usdia. Ok, that wasn't SO bad. But still, was this one annoying like everyone else he knew? Arun then walked himself around the vicinity, only so he could face the female from the front, and not freak her out from popping out of nowhere. He knew that he wouldn't of liked that himself, so he decided to be smart about it.

Once his position was reached, he started walking forward until the female could see him just as clearly. "Good day..." Hmm.. what ELSE could he say? It was hard enough being socially awkward, though he was curious about this mare because she was, well, yellow! She was a complete opposite of what he had seen before, so he continued watching her quietly.

In a slow pattern, she circled her surroundings with amazement. She had never seen such plants and animals, where she had formerly resided. It was quite a change! Aside from adjusting to the sun that is. The efforts had tired her out.. or what little effort(s) she had done.

But the sound of rustling nearby caught her attention quickly. A bit surprised but on guard, She quickly swung around, expecting an enemy to jump out at any moment from the bushes. When moments had passed, no one did however. Instead, She caught sight of another approaching. Was he the one? Slightly curious, she studied the intruder slowly, determining whether he was an enemy or not.

A few minutes later, She allowed herself to relax. ".. hm." She didn't sense any sort of negative intentions coming from the visitor. But than again, she had made no enemies here either. So why would there be? Although he looked nice from a distance away, that didn't mean he wasn't an enemy either.. Or so she briefly realized. But she could assume that he certainly wasn't a friend after all. Only a complete stranger. With narrowing eyes, she eyed the visitor but didn't move from her position.

".. Good day." She answered carefully in reply to his words . She didn't know whether to be nice, or not. Normally, she would have asked something like, "What do you want?" when unexpected company approached. But her intuition warned her against doing so. After a few minutes has passed however, She became suspicious of the stallion's silence. ".. So. Did you want anything from me?" Her tone polite and inquiring. One could call Kyubi blunt.. But than again, she preferred to use the word straightforward.

Unknowing of the feeling of being flustered, she found it quite awkward that the stallion was only watching her quietly. "Is there anything wrong with my appearance?"

Arun snorted suddenly, wondering what the heck was wrong with this mare. Was she really that surprised with his appearing in front of her? Also, why did she expect him to have tons of reasons for being there? He was JUST trying to be polite for once! But seriously, screw that! "Do I want anything from you? Now, that is a strange thing to ask! Strange.. peverted.. creepy.." he sighed, wondering if he was the creepo for looking past the mare's words. "But no, I didn't actually NEED anything. I was just trying to make conversation. So why don't we call it that."

The huffy male was satisfied enough with his words, but he was more jumbled at the mare's other question. "No, there is nothing wrong with your appearance. You are of a bright color, and you have some markings and stuff, but there is nothing WRONG with you. I am only staring because.. I am supposed to look at you when talking.." Yes, that was a good enough save. Arun wondered what the heck this mare was thinking! She was really putting him on the spot, and it was making him angry!

"Well, how bout I throw your questions right back at ya? Do you want something from me? And, do I look weird to you?" With a cocky grin, the male flicked his tail before glancing at the mare again. It seemed that Arun was making the mare's speech into a game, and it took a male to realize that was probably rude. Or, it would probably be taken AS rude.

"Well.. I'm Arun." he then said, while a brief silence passed. "And I am only playing ya know, since your words were.. well.. random." There, that was good enough, right?

Having never been confronted with such.. outbursts, she was at a loss of words. With a slightly frustruated and annoyed look in her eyes, she shifted her hooves in impatience. What was this stallion saying? Was he offended or something? Obviously, he was. But she couldn't comprehend the reason as to why. Except the fact that he was referring to her questions. She CERTAINLY didn't find anything wrong with her questions! She couldn't see how HE interpreted her words, nor did she care.

As she continued to put up with his ranting, she continued to stay silent the entire time. With the constant change of subject, She wasn't sure if she could even get an answer in or keep up with the flow of the conversation. "Ah.." She said, with a small sigh. She was trying to be nice too. Well. If that's what she got, than it wasn't worth it, And If he continued on with his yelling, she wasn't sure what she would or could do. She wasn't used to dealing with people, so she was completely clueless as to handle the situation.

Fortunately, The stallion suddenly seemed to quiet down. With a curious yet suspicious glance to the stallion, she eyed him warily in caution for another outburst. Silence ensued for a brief moment before she replied, "Arun? .. Well. My name is Kyubimon. Although you can call me Kyubi for short." She began, "Although it has been QUITE an experience meeting you. Even if your words were just playful-" She stopped mid-sentence, tipping her head in a thoughtful gesture, "Although It hasn't necessarily been a bad experience? Just strange." If it wasn't strange, she didn't know what it was!

"Although I wonder. Do you do this to everyone you meet? Playing with them, I mean?" She asked the other stallion pointedly, without any intentions of malice or the such.

"Nice to meet you, Kyubi." His words were stiff, but he was putting the effort in, especially since the mare wasn't mad with him! He really was surprised, didn't the mare want to like, kick him or something? He probably deserved it. "And I have always been like this, my mother and father have said I was idiotic since the day I was born. I just get so angry, I apologize if I said something to offend you. Sometimes I don't even know I am talking." He had never shared such with anyone before, probably because no one had given him the time of day! "And you don't have to reference what I did as 'playfing'. I was clearly an a**. Anyone in their right mind would know that." He had no doubt that he was being a jerk, and the male was still in utter shock that Kyubi didn't want him to leave or something.

"Well uh, I guess I'll try and start over.." his teeth cringed, since staying calm felt so unnatural. "So your name's Kyubi, and your clearly a patient and kind mare... wait, how do you do that? Patience? I have NEVER been good at being patient." The mare was doing it so easily, too! Why was it so easy for some people??!! His brother and sister were the same way!

Maybe it was pathetic, ot point his flaws out instantly to another. But he was slowly learning something huge, since this was the first time he was putting the effort into controlling himself. "If I learn what patience is, maybe I will be more tolerable to others. I wonder what the next step after that is." Pfft, he would probably give up, after that..
PostPosted: Sun Jan 06, 2008 12:22 pm

"Well. I haven't encountered anyone who's is SO impatient, So I.. quite don't know how to reply to you." As she gave him a frank look, the kind that maybe a male would give another when they were to be blunt with eachother. "By anything, I don't consider myself patient or kind for ANYONE with an exception of few.." Pausing, as she titled her head in thought. ".. Simply because strangers quite aren't worth the trouble."

"a** huh? Is that what you classified yourself as?" She said, with a bit of laughter in her voice. "I would not have classified you as such, but you were dangerously close.. Arun. And I suppose.. Since I'm -not- in my right mind, I'm insane now?" She was no longer at a loss of words like before, instead she was amused by the other stallion's mood changes. Obviously, he had some issues. But it couldn't have been more interesting. She felt more open and receptive to this sort of approach, rather than the kind and polite approach that would have caused her to retreat into a distant shell.

"Arun.. You don't have to learn patience if you DONT want to. If you like being impaient and rude.. Than be yourself. I certainly don't mind it. It's a refreshing change from everyone else that I have seen."

Arun could only blink at the females response, and his body felt like it wanted to fall over! Did this female.. just hint at praising him, and ask him to be himself? "You.. you want me to be myself? W-why..?" he then said, with a new and shaky voice. This had never happened before, someone accepting him, even in his grumpy and terrible talk. Why was this mare saying these things? Was she like that herself?

"I don't think insane works, not at all." he then said, with a head shake. "I mean, it is crazy that you want me to just, be myself, since many don't." he then paused, while smiling happily. "But still, insane is a bit harsh, and you don't need to brand yourself like that. Crazy is more casual and playful, so let's stick with that." The words were flowing out of Arun naturally, and THAT also felt weird for him. It seemed him and the mare had a lot in common.

"So you have met many idiots in this land as well?" he then asked, with a blunt voice. "I still consider myself somewhat idiotic, but I hate how bland so many are. I find it impossible to talk to anyone, that's why my reaction to you was so, rude." he lowered his head, as if ashamed. "But, at least we are open enough to get past that, and now.. I can just continue to be an a**, without you getting upset." Hell, yeah, that was awesome! This mare was awesome! Arun wasn't sure if he should tell her that.
PostPosted: Sat Jan 12, 2008 1:36 am

Apparently, Arun didn't have much self-confidence it seemed. With an glance at Arun, She felt it didn't hurt to voice her opinions to him. He didn't seem like one who would reprimand her in doing so. "A false attitude is even worse than a rude one. As least, being rude is truthful rather than being all fake." She scorned with disdain. "Morons.." The comment was muttered under her breath, for either to hear. It didn't matter to her.

She felt her lips curving into a small smile, at the sight of Arun's happy smile. She would assume that this sort of information was common sense, but who knew? "I.. don't think I'm playful.." Her gaze directed somewhere at the distant land behind Arun. No one had ever called her so before.. But than this wasn't her usual reserved manner either. Oh well. She thought to herself, with a wry smile. "Crazy is a much better word than insane, I would say." She was overcome with an urge to chuckle at his description.

With a thoughtful look upon her face, she debated over his words. With careful consideration of her words,"Well.. I would say some are, and some are not.. Although I would call your assumption of 'bland' correct." In truth, everyone here that she had encountered appeared to be kind, patient, polite or with some other redeeming quality that one sought after. It reeked of dishonesty, to her.

Shifting her hooves a bit to the side, she reverted her gaze back to the stallion before her. "Open enough, I say. An a** is far more interesting than.. Hmm. A saint maybe? " Her emerald green eyes held a hint of laughter, while she joked around with the male usdia. "Which I may say, You are preferably not."

Arun could admit, there were A LOT of morons in the land. Most of the individuals that he talked to were morons, and that drove him nuts everyday! "One of the reasons I find myself so impatient is because I find it impossible to deal with so many of the personalities I run into. That's why I was so taken aback by you, since it seems you and I enjoy the simple flaws of life." Arun then shrugged, and wondered if that even made sense.

He had basically called himself an a**, and the mare had admittedly called herself insane and crazy. So they were completely straightforward name-calling themselves! "We must be either extremely intelligent, or completely weird." He then said, with a silly smile on his face. "But hell, I prefer it that way!" Since it was actually FUN and ENJOYABLE, and Arun could always vouch that he enjoyed doing things differently.

"So what do you usual do then, if you can't stand many who roam around this land?" Arun then looked back to the mare, and wondered if she strode around as grumpy and angry as he did on most days. "I personally ignore someone if I know they are going to bounce up to me with that bubbly bullshit." He could think of one Usdia in particular who ALWAYS did that too him, and it drove him nuts. "I feel like so many use positivity as a shield to hide all of their problems, when really it is easier to confront problems, and FEEL emotion." With a grunt, the stallion realized how much he too hated the consistently fake emotions he noticed everyday.

Did they really? It was true that their ideas were similar, but the reasons for their beliefs were vastly different. Nonetheless.. He was correct. "I suppose so." She agreed, with a smile upon her face. She had never had so much fun with another before. if she had not known better, Arun would just be another stallion who appeared to be rude, and unsociable, but underneath, she found an outgoing, and intelligent personality. How truthful he was too

"What an interesting pair we are. Indeed~" Her expression held a hint of amusement at the stallion's logic, and excitement. He was certainly the individual! And he prided himself upon it, proudly. She could admire that.

".. I actually don't do much of anything." Her voice soft, playing back her recent activities in her mind. She didn't do much besides lurk about.. And inevitably came the feeling of isolation. She didn't know if Arun felt the same, but clearly he had friends, she could tell. It was good for him, and he had also learned well. Somewhat cynical, "But, can't be helped" Shrugging off the thought. Being cynical, she considered, was a wise choice. "But aside from that subject, You may be right about that!" She replied, her voice audible once more. In truth, he had hit too close to the mark in her case. And it was a subject she did NOT want to discuss if possible.

"Anyway. What do you say we take a walk? I could use some exercise Arun." She suggested, her white colored mane blowing about in the breeze, as she trotted closer. "Unless if you don't want to, you can remain here by yourself~"

Arun chuckled a bit before walking beside the mare. "A walk sounds perfect to me. And if you need exercise, then I DEFINITELY need exercise. Your not the one that is actually lazy like me." Arun felt sort of plump lately, since he did so little, and ate so much instead. "Off and away we shall go!"

Once they started walking, Arun felt the energy return back to his limbs, and he suddenly felt excitement for some reason. Here he was walking beside someone that he could hopefully and respectfully call a friend, and he had never had that before! It had actually been weeks since his last contact, since he really only bothered to talk to his family members. "I don't really do much of anything either, so I understand that. Its hard to find something fun when everyone pisses me off so much." Hm, that did sort of suck, but at least Arun was having fun now?

"But see, now I am enjoying myself, so I am thankful to you for that." he then blurted, while keeping his eyes away from the mare. It wasn't in his personality to shove compliments at others, but the mare deserved praise for her awesome ways. "Since we both enjoy each other's company, I am sure we can find something to do."

It wasn't that Arun strived to be normal or anything, but he did wonder if there was something new and exciting that he had never tried before. "I am sure if we keep walking we will find something interesting. And if not, then I am happy to keep talking." Arun wondered if he sounded as pathetic as his words did, and with a snort, he slowly brought a grin back towards the female. "But anyhow, got any family or anything?"
PostPosted: Sat Jan 19, 2008 12:31 pm

Not bothering to smother a laugh at Arun's choice of words, she walked in stride with the other usdia. "Who knows?"

She couldn't recall the last time she enjoyed someone's company.. "I warn you Arun. While I may listen to you, and support your opinion.." Lowering her head to nibble at some grass, "I can understand why they act that way.. or I can try to. Courtesy reaps benefits that one would not normally attain through our means." Because humans and soquilis alike could be so easily offended. She was curious to see the path that Arun would take in life..

"I don't think you need company to have fun.." She said quietly, with silent contemplation upon her face. It was possible to have fun by yourself, wasn't it? Wasn't it? If fun was the definition of enjoyment that is. "But I'm glad to see that I'm not SUCH bad company.." Turning her head to the other usdia to give him a thankful smile of her own.. But instead she found him looking away. Did something catch his eye? She wondered to herself, with a questioning glint in her eyes. But it wasn't necessary to ask.

"I'm not sure we can, but If I feel up to the task, Maybe I'll try" She nodded, as a feeling of embarrassment washed over her. Her face however didn't betray any of her emotions, luckily. She didn't get gratitude from others often, so she wasn't accustomed to such words. While walking, silence filled the air for a few moments longer before she heard Arun's voice interrupting her wandering thoughts.

"Family? Actually.. I don't have any. but families aren't necessary, are they?" Neither was she accustomed to the concept of family either. "By chance, Do you have any?"

"Well they aren't necessary." He then said, while chuckling a bit. He would LOVE to tell that to his mother and father, for they would sure laugh! "But I do have a family.. they are alright I guess." He wasn't someone who enjoyed being clingy or close with others because he HAD too, but he didn't find them as bad necessarily. "I don't really understand what the whole family thing is about, maybe I am too stupid or something. I just know there are lots of them around, and for some reason many enjoy what they are there for."

At some of the mare's other words, Arun could only smile in agreement. "Fun is what you make of it, or at least, that's how I always interpreted it!" With a swish of his tail, the stallion stumbled a bit while making his way through a bundle of small rocks. "Trust me, I am the expert on bad company. I have dealt with some terrible conversations! And right now, both of us are having no problem talking, or smiling." Heh, strange but good! "Usually I have already stomped off at this point in the discussion..."

Arun could only laugh, since he was so predictable. "It doesn't seem like you have a temper like that, maybe you are just being kind to me so I can't tell?" His face was still holding a goofy grin, since in all seriousness, he had no idea what kind of personality the mare had overall! "Are you someone who expresses their emotions openly? I think sometimes I may get a bit too huffy.." But Arun would never change, that was for sure!
