My daughter is 8 months and that is exactly how long I have breastfed. It kinda upsets me when I go into stores and find the have one little end-of-the-isle endcap of nursing bras and a couple of boxes of breastpads! (That is, if they have any at all!)
Breast is best, I know and I do, but I hate the people that think it is pornographic. Come on, I am using my boobs for what they were intended for and if it bothers you that much keep walking and don't look at me and my snacking daughter.

I tried breastfeeding, but my daughter's too much of a pig (was then and still is at almost 3 months). It hurt a little more than I'd've liked it to what with having a c-section and staples...And I don't we have quite the same problem in my area, breastfeeding is quite common around here, they still only have a couple different styles of nursing bras (which I couldn't wear because they had lace and I can't wear lace on my chest) but if you go into one of the maternity stores they have tons more I think....And I also saw something strange....I never EVER knew that breast pads had DIFFERENT absorbancies like ruddy pads and tampons jeesbus. But baby's hungry so it's time for her breaky.

I'm going to be kind of a bigot and say that I don't understand why more people don't breastfeed. I went to my local Young Parent Program's Christmas party and most of the girls there were feeding their babies from bottles and chatting about what kind of formula they use, while I sat with Evelyn at my breast and just kinda nodded and smiled.
I'm going to say what every pro-breastfeeding person says: Breastfeeding is natural, beautiful, and a baby's best start.
So, I'm going to feed wherever I choose and people will just have to suck it up and deal with it.

Not to entertain males, as so many of them think. GAH. People need to realize, breastfeeding is completely natural. They didn't have formula a thousand years ago. Women BREASTFED.
People need to get over themselves.

Here laid to rest... Yay! Breast IS best! I just wish i could've breastfed Aeryn. There wasn't a whole lot of support around me at the time plus I had THE dumbest nurse. Stupid b*tch gave her bottles when i was sleeping because Aeryn wouldn't cry at night to wake me up. Plus not to mention I like have HUGE knockers. I'm talking EE to DDD okay, lol? But the second day I was breastfeeding just fine when she started turning purple because she couldn't breathe. The nurse took her away, patted her back and SAW mucus come out of her nose, and then proceed to b*tch at me saying I couldn't breastfeed her due to said knockers. Well, the following day the breast feeding nurse came in and said that Aeryn not breathing wasn't due to my booby size but rather to the fact she had some amniotic fluid still stuck up her nose. >.> Well by then Aeryn was TERRIFIED, and I do mean terrified, of my chest. So I attempted to pump and it would literally take me 4 to 5 hours to just pump 1 ounce of ONE breast. I'm telling you though, with the next baby I AM going to breastfeed. Even if I have to kill my nurse in order for it to happen, lol.
...is our love ever longed

Whether you breastfeed or bottlefeed should be your choice! I do not put other mothers down for not breastfeeding at all. Some women can't, and then again some women have to go back to work to support their new bundle of joy. In a perfect world every mother would breastfeed, but it's not.
