I bet you loved that Spice Girls reference Beanie wink

No but seriously guys, I'm thinking a "Spam" forum where we can type anything we really want. Rant about the world, modern world, and try to get more participation.

I know we're not a fast speed guild, and I think it has to do with our subject nature but there's got to be something we can do to be more lively again =]

Good luck to those of you who have exams at the moment!

Resting?

Doubt it. I took the liberty of examining the language, and the only reason why it had been around is because it had been nailed there.

If Latin was dead, I wouldn't be contemplating drinking hemlock right now.
But I may just have to hang myself right after the exam.
Dee can take over.

Latin is not dead if it were dead we couldn't get out meds and withouth them we'd be dead... well some of us would be.

but seriously though since we are all in or have been in a post secondary schools how about we maybe have a class help thread. I know that sometimes when it comes to writing papers we hit that road block where it's like we have a mental meltdown. Well in those times of need we could be there to help eachother either with providing each other with sources or just helping you fine tune some ideas. It would be nice to have someone to ask for help.

A class-help thread would indeed work if it was't for the fact that the people learning Latin, the one's who created the guild, in college as of now are:

1. Rarely online
2. Know Latin with 100% mastery

Proof enough is in the thread created in this forum, in which th title went by the name of "Latin Posting only here!" or something to that degree.

The thread only had one post: the original post...

It should also be noted that there are several "class help" threads in the Language sub-forum. You should look there if you want a basic foundation in Latin.

yeah but I wasn't thinking about language help I was thinking more of the acctual Greek and'or Roman history help.

speaking of that I'm about to pull my hair out. ar there any good sites that accurately describe the hoplite armour and weight of the armor and the metal compositions and weight of the swords. I've tried looking and all i can find are buy this piece of movie replica crap site which are really no help.

I'm sorry I know that this isn't the appropriate place to put this question but I don't know where else to possiably put it.
