"You know the drill, Kiddo," Edge had said with a smile, kneeling before Reese and ruffling the child's hair. Indeed, Reese knew. Don't go far, stay on this floor, and don't get into trouble. Though, honestly, Reese wondered what kind of trouble he could get into a building that reminded him of the fortresses in his dragon books.
And one with so many people walking around. But then again, none of them really seemed all that interested in what Reese was doing anyway. He bet he could get into some real fun if he just rolled down the hall and tried pressing buttons on one of the keypads.
No! No, bad Reese. He beamed up at his father, nodding his head and getting himself settled in his chair. "Kay, Poppa. I'll thtay put."
"That's my boy," Edge said, standing. "You just read your books," he instructed one last time before walking away.
Reese waited until his father was out of sight before reaching into the green canvas messenger bag that hung against the back of his wheelchair. It had everything his could ever need in it: his dragon books, some coloring books and crayons, a bottle of water, some cheese crackers for snacks...
And a tracking device, but only Edge and Wilbur knew about that one.
It was just a normal visit to D-Corp for "paperwork" reasons. Reese was wondering when he'd get to stop coming to this place.

Laesneniel curled up tight in her chair. Her tail wrapped around the arm rest tightly. She had always hated coming to the D-Corp bulding. It scared her because it was so large.
Laerwen had some paper work to turn in and to register little Lae for some classes. She knew that this place was not a favorite, but it they would have to get used to it as they would see it alot.
They both walked slowly down the hall, looking in rooms as they passed them by. Once they passed the library Laerwen paused and moved back. -well I'll be- She thought as she caught sight of another seahorse child. Lae rolled the wheel chair into the room.
Laesneniel's eyes widened, but she resumed the curl position.

Reese hummed some idle tune while he dug through his bag, trying to find his favorite book with the pictures of the water dragons. That's what Z had said, after all. He'd probably get a water kind of dragon, cause he liked water a lot and was a good swimmer.
"Ha!" he cheered, lifting the book from the satchel with a jerk! And sent it flying, flopping like a dying fish onto the floor...several good feet from where he sat. He watched it go with wide eyes, feeling his heart sink. How was he supposed to get that now??
His little nose was all a wrinkle, and then noticed feet beyond where the book lay. A person! He looked up. Not a person in white, someone normal like Poppa or Wilbur! His face broke into a big, if bashful, smile and he started to wave.
And that's when he saw Laesneniel. It was like looking in a mirror! Well, a funky color mirror than made you look like a coosh ball...but a mirror!
"HI!" he squealed, nearly bouncing out of his seat. "Hi, hi!"

Laesneniel sheepishly waved back at Reese. "H-hello."
Older Lea rolled Laesneniel up along side Reese so the two could talk to each other a little closer. For now she let the little ones talk to each other.
"Wh-what's your name?"
(( Sorry for teh wait... I've been so brain dead. XD The post is a bit lame, but I didnt want to hold this up for too long. ))

"Reethe!" The green haired seahorse boy said enthusiastically, pointing a proud finger at his chest as his body wiggled happily in his seat. Oh boy, another sea horse! What a great friend this would be!
"Who're you?" he inquired, finger pointing at her with another wiggle of his tail. Would she like to play? He hoped so...he liked having new friends to play with. "Wanna play?"
Oh...but...well, there was the matter of his book. He wanted that back. A look down at the floor, he wrinkled his nose in thought. "Gotta get my book."

"Laesneniel..." She became less tense as he gave his name. "You can call me Lea though. It's easier." Lea added with a small nod. This "Reethe" seemed like a nice enough person. AND he was the same animal! "We can play. You like water too?" The thought crossed her mind that he may be a different kind of same animal that didn't like water.
Learwen caught on to the book situation and quickly addessed it. She scooped up the book and handed it over to Reese with a smile.

Reese's eyes widened enthusiastically as the nice looking woman leaned down and picked up his book. He reached out for it, making grabby hands until it was back in his possession, hugging the well read book to his chest. "Thanth!" came his peppy little voice, lightly swaying back and forth in his chair before turning his attention back to Lea.
"I love water! Ith awethome!" Actually...it had been a while since Reese had gone swimming. He'd have to ask Poppa if they could go again sometime soon. Maybe they could bring Lea!
"Wanna play I-Thpy?" It was hard, being wheelchair bound and not quite having the arm power needed, for Reese to go too many places. So, along with Wilbur, he had learned the game I-Spy. And in this office room, there where plenty of things to spy for.

Leawen was amused by the kid's lisp. It was easy to cover such things up for little kids. All she had to do was smile and chuckle. He'd have no idea what she was chuckling about. She moved back behind little Lea so the two cold talk more. It would be good for Lea to have a water dwelling friend.
Lea curled up in her chair again. "What's I-thpy?" She inmated his lisp on the word. Completely runaway that that was not how to say the word and that this kid had a lisp.

Reese didn't even know he had the speech problem. To him, this was how he had always talked...and people who imitated him just sounded a little funny. But it wasn't nice to tease people, you know? So he never made any comments on it with others.
"Ith fun!" he giggled, his tail curling and uncurling happily as he looked around the office. "Eashy thuff." He wouldn't pick something hard...Cody had taught him that. Start off easy and work your way up to the hard stuff. His brow wrinkled, his nose wiggling as he tried...ah! The D-corp poster! That would work. It was to their left, black with the green D-corp image and the logo across the bottom.
"I thpy...thomething that ith black," and when he looked back at her, excited.

Lea begun to wonder if this was one of those people who had accents. Learwn had a conversation with someone a while back who said he had been to this "Irland" pace. She said that the way he spoke things was different because of accents. Reethe must have been from another area too!
"Um... What am I supposed to do in this game?" She looked up only to find Leawen had moved off to look at some book not too far away, but a a long enough distance to whre she would have to yell. And she didn't like to do that. Her focus moved back to Reese. Panic showing a little bit on her face. Lea also didn't like to be away from her mommy.

"You find what I thee!" His tone was a little...teasing. Not in a bad way, but in that 'Duh! Silly!' sort of way. Reese had never teased a person in his life! Granted, he didn't really know the meaning of the action...except for the fact that Poppa and Wilbur said teasing people was mean and not tolerated in their household.
"Ith eashy. You can find it," he encouraged. "Whath black?" He mistook her panic for not understanding the game. After all, Poppa and Wilbur left him off on his own all the time. Not too far, obviously, but they were always within earshot and a dash. Seriously, for Reese, Lea's momma was close enough to be considered right at their side.

"What you see?" She confirmed as she looked around the room for something black. "ummm..." She put her finger to her lip. The tone he had was also mistaken for part of this kid's "accent". As she was now positive that's what was going on.
"That?" She pointed toward the poster. It was the first black thing to catch her eye. Lea looked at Reese with her finger still aimed in the direction.

"Yea!" Reese cheered, throwing his hands up in the air happily!...And almost sending his book flying again. He gasped shortly, then giggled as he turned to put it back into his bag. No need to bother the nice lady with having to get it for him again.
"Yea! Good job," he said over his shoulder, sitting back down...well, as much as Reese sat still. He was bouncing lightly, excited for this game to continue. "Your turn. What do you thpy?" He was mimicking Wilbur. That's what the butler always said after Reese found his spy.

Lea gasped in excitement as Reese clapped. Her hands moved to her mouth as she gasped. Wow! This was the first time playing the game too! Her tail twitched.
"wow!t-thank you."
" okay." She was feeling more confidant about this now. "I thpy, uh-" Lae looked around the room. There were some pretty green and blue books on the shelf just at their left. "-something green and blue." Her focus remained toward the books.

Reese's brow crinkled, following the direction that Lea was looking in. "Gween and bloo," he muttered quietly, focused. Wilbur had a bad habit of looking right at whatever it was that he 'spied'. The hard part was figuring out where he was looking. There was a potted plant on the shelf in the general direction that Lea was looking...
"That?" he asked, pointing at the pot. It was mostly brown, but there were blue and green shapes painted all over it in a random pattern. Funny thing was that the books where right under the flower. Heh.
