My friend who plays basson (senior) wants me to try bassoon and says that he's gonna teach me should I?
Or he said i can go with bass clarinet

ok well, the basoon is one of those instruments that's really good for a college bound student. but if your hoping for the one with more fun music, the bassoon doesn't always have a very cool part. bass clarinet can though. i think more often, at least. anyways, either way the disicion is only yours.

Playing the bassoon will give your band the opp to play a lot of unique music that they otherwise couldn't perform. So if your band doesn't have someone on it already, go for it.
You'd have to consider your ability to play on a double reed though; so much different from a single reed. Bass clarinet has a lot of cool parts too if you can't go with bassoon. Really low and powerful. So much cooler than the regular clarinet. wink lol.

both are awesome instruments, but whatever you think would be easier to play, then go for it. I would personaly pick Bassoon, because I've a;ready played Bass clarinet, and it's like playing a giant version of my clarinet, so...

Well i would go with bassoon 'cause if you need help or whatever you can just ask your friend.
Plus i think bassoons sound cooler!!

but you can get bassoon from your friend
