I happen to like the Wii. It lets you be more involved in the game you are playing. And that video was funny. That poor kid will be scarred for life.

You are entitled to hate what you want, but promoting this anti-Wii war is a lot like being a Nazi... Consider, the jewish religion being the Wii and you, an advocate of hating the Wii, a Nazi. Same sort of concept.
Wii Cons- -It's graphics processors are crap versus the insane power of Sony and Microsoft.. -It's games are oriented torward the casual gaming crowd.. Family games, children games, and nonsensical anime-themed games...(I.E. the Mama's Cooking Something or Other) -Some people just don't like it//are afraid of the whole.. movement concept. Fear and ignorance, leads to racism(...if racism could be applied to the console wars) -The first gen of Wii remotes had.. issues.. with getting themselves lodged into your parents 2000$ 60inch plasma widescreen tv..(youtube it if you like seeing stuff break)
Wii Pros- -Innovative and insanely unique, one step closer to pure VR. -Easily addicting and 'PnP'(plug and play) concepts -Fun games to teach younger siblings, games that don't involve confusing storylines, pages and pages of text/voice acting, or strategy (moostly.. there ARE Wii games for the mature players, just.. not as many as Sony or Microsoft has to offer) -A definate 'party' system.. You and your friends, either sober(preferably if you have sketchy Wii remotes) drunk, high, or whatever just having a bad a** time playing Mario Party or jumping around yelling and screaming while playing Tennis -For those of you who enjoy doing 'things' outside of the gaming room, but dont have gas money(because you bought those two Geforce 8800's to SLi in your leet machine, or because you bought that big a** TV that might break when you chuck your wii remote at it, or you blew your paycheck on pot) to actually get out and do them.. -All in all, fun stuff. Good times.. more exciting in a crowd atmosphere than watching your buddy Jim beat Sephiroth in KH2 on proud mode.. (unless you get off ont hat kinda stuff) -Cheaper than that of Sony and Microsoft
I'm not perfect, I do have my bias, I like the Wii, but I don't own one. And I don't plan to, I like my computer, and my Ps2, I don't plan on purchasing any next-gen consoles. It's very possible I totally misinterpretted the Wii's intentions, I mean, hell, it could be a robot analyzing the movement of a human being, recording it, so it can transform, take over your body, and commit crimes in the name of NINTENDOO. It's also possible I got all my info wrong. I mean hell, I don't have one, I just don't like meaningless hate razz

Ask anyone who knows me and they will tell you that I am definitely "Anti-Wii" and they're right.
This isn't for the "racism" reasons listed above me. In fact, I liked Nintendo prior to the Wii. I simply don't like the games, and the games I did like I found played better on the Gamecube. I think the concept behind the Wii is indeed innovative. But that's not going to make me like poor graphics and shallow story lines (this however is NOT an advocation of the truly convoluted plot of Metal Gear Solid)
I am also very Anti-XBOX, true Halo was a very good game/is a very good game. But I don't think that buying a system can be based on one game.

Well.. See.. I'm sorry, but your reasons for hating the Wii are completely unbased then.. Wii doesn't make the games.. companies do.. companies like Techmo, Konami, Enix, Bungie, Acclaim, Cavia..(I'm sure nintendo put it's two cents into most games, and I'm sure there are nintendo specific games i.e. mario, starfox.. honestly I wouldn't know, I never really got into nintendo games as a kid) They decide the depth, storyline, or lame character design//shading. The Wii is a catalyst, a provider.. you don't hate the Wii, you hate the games.. You should try and realize what you hate before you hate the whole thing hah. "In fact, I liked Nintendo prior to the Wii. I simply don't like the games, and the games I did like I found played better on the Gamecube. I think the concept behind the Wii is indeed innovative."
